  2. atleast it didn't cost you anything. I think i would take a little embarrasment over spending money on another top end any day.
  3. alot depends on the kinda power your putting out. But if they arent too bad you can either leave them they way they are or run a file over them and smooth them out. Maybe start looking into a replacement in the future though. Jeff at FAST sells billet baskets.
  4. First of all Yamaha does still make the banshee, it is just not sold in the US anymore. And secondly if you wanna buy brand new cases, cascade sells them. http://cascadeinnovations.net/
  5. yeah doesnt sound good at all. If the dipstick is covered in it the safest way to remove all that and inspect everything is split the cases. Then while your at it you can make all the adjustments like already mentioned. You could also grind your shift star too!
  6. no that would not be a good idea. They are complete opposites. Also that much ethanol content tends to clog shit up. There are only certain vehicles you can run it in and if your thinkin about runnin it in your banshee i would rethink that. It just isn't meant for a power increase.
  7. to do it by the book you should replace your gaskets, but....i have reused gaskets alot and never had a problem. (Intake gaskets that is, and clutch gasket) I also use some silicone on my intakes to make sure i got a good seal, you don't want any unwanted air goin through there. My opinion on yamabond is don't use it. I hate it, there is a couple different kinds but it just seems to sticky trying to put it on. I would recommend hondabond HT. It works really well, but i have also used silicone on a lot of shit. If you get the two surfaces clean silicone will hold really well. But if your just getting your cylinders ported you should just replace your base and head gasket and silicone your intakes and be good to go.
  8. congrats on the win but what kind of pipe is that?? , looks to be 2 into 1 but it looks different than the one i got.
  9. oh ok, if you happen to remeber what it was you took it off of let me know.
  10. no you are right, the 58 meant what stroke the cylinders were cast for. And yes a 392 is a 68mm bore and 54mm stoke, thats what my t-rex used to be.
  11. Does anybody know if there is a radiator cap for a small car that will fit our banshee radiators? I am in a bind here and need one before i leave for oklahoma on thursday and was gonna go to Orielly's or something to see if they had one that would work and i thought i would ask here to see if anyone knew by chance.

  13. mmm i don't know. Im not sure what my bike would make on a dyno but i have never had a problem with clutch slipping. I have actually been runnin the same clutch ever since my first build in 2002. And like said before its what i put in every bike that leaves my shop; all of them with no complaints.
  14. I have ran valvoline max life 10w-40 in my tranny ever since i bought my bike 4 years ago with no problems at all. My brothers bike, cousins, and any one i work on leaves our shop with it in it. No problems with any of them.
