Asswhor is correct, the bottom rings on stock pistons are thicker than the top ones.

I got a used JE high compression piston that came out of my cousins 04 450R. Its 13.5:1. Just seeing if anyone could use it, just shoot me an offer.

I need a +8 swinger for my bike and was seeing if anyone had one that wanted to trade for my +6 and some cash. I need it to accept the stock carrier unless the round housing carrier is included as well. I would also like for it to be pretty light, its only gonna be used for drag racing. Good point here :thumbsup: . Didn't think of that, obviously you can see how far the ring isn't supported.

looks like to me the clearances were too big and the piston had too much room allowing for excessive front to back movement causing the ring to come out further catching the exhaust port. I had this happen before on a set of stock cylinders i used to have, the bore was just simply too big for the pistons.

i was 16, i had rode quads before then but never owned one myself, like bigboy my parents wouldn't buy me anything that could potentially kill me. So once i started driving and got a good enough job i got a loan and bought my banshee. Now that i think about it i got screwed big time on it. I paid $4200!! Oh well, then it blew up about two weeks after i got it and i had no clue what to do so I payed a guy almost $700 to rebuild it. That was the last time i payed anyone to do anything for me (other than porting and boring). The first time i tore it down by myself was in my room on a desk, i layed everything out in order and put it all back together and now i know it like the back of my hand and have been doing ever since on everyones bike around my area. I am 20 now and I love it.

yes there is, that above is just dupont orange i believe with some flex additive in it. And yes your gonna have to put some plastic primer on it also. Make sure you just prepare it really well before you spray it and it will last a long time. that orange bike, my bike, and my brother's bike are all painted.
