  1. Is there an advantage running either the spacer plate or using the cut domes with no spacer. He doesn't care if someone see's that he has a stroker, he just wants to be faster. If you get the domes cut, does that mean that you dont have to port anything because the cylinders haven't been moved any. Or will the added stroke still require porting modifications?
  2. So with a spacer plate you don't have to run 795 series pistons and without the plate you you do? I thought that the 795's were just used when you get longer rods.
  3. Ok guys, I never said that this was the worst possible thing that could happen to me. I just said that it sucked. I know I could be away from family, in the middle of the ocean, or in afgan. I am glad that people do those things to protect my freedom
  4. A friend of mine wanted me to ask. He wants to get a +4mm stoker with a spacer plate then get carbs and porting later on. 1. Will the +4mm work with stock carbs? 2. Will it work with stock ports? 3. Does he have to have the 795 series pistons? I told him to get the port job along with the +4mm stoker crank but he wants more opinions. He has no computer so I have to do it for him He wants all of this cus another friend of ours ( has a ported banshee) is beating him in a race.
  5. I plan on getting bigger carbs when I get the porting. Just have to wait. She used to not like it, but she had never raced before she met me. I drag race a Monte Carlo and I let her try it once. She liked it. Then I got her the banshee and she saw me racing on mine. She tried it and liked it too. It was hillarious when she came to hard out of the hole and came over backwards At first she used to barely give it gas before she launched, now she wraps it up pretty good in second and lets it rip I'm just glad we have this in common, don't have to hear her complain that I am gone riding all the time because she is there too
  6. I think I have decided to wait until I get my cylinders ported. That way I can get the right pipe/port combonation for my style of riding. Will be a while though cause I am headed to Jamaica and have to save up for that Thanks for all the info guys By the way, my wife loves her new pipes and now wants more mods She sure has suprised me
  7. Well this is Labor Day weekend and I have to work Working 16 hr shifts because of Katrina. At least im working for a good cause. This weekend they are having 300 ft. drag races at the river and I can't go Everyone I know will be there, and the money I could have won will be in some one elses pockets and not mine O well, my wallet will have to increase a couple size to handle the cash flow it will be receiving due to the overtime and holliday pay
  8. The reason for the high spike in gas prices ( 3 dollars and over) is because of the hurricain. The ports in the gulf are where most of the oil unlaoding stations are. If you can't unload oil tankers, oil refineries can't run. If oil refineries can't run, they can't make gas. This creats a shortage causing high fuel prices. The plants in the gulf produce 30% of the nations fuel, around ten million barrels a day. They are saying that Atlanta will completely run out of fuel by next week. Because of all of this, I have to work 12 hour shifts I can see some new banshee parts coming my way
  9. Here in Borger, Texas we are paying 2.90 for the cheap stuff. Supposed to go up even more because of the hurricain. I heard around 3.30 for the cheap stuff next week
  10. I also have a hypertech programer. Mine allows you to change tire sizes.
  11. Well I put the Toomey T6 pipes on my wifes banshee. We went to the river to ride, her on her banshee and me on my 660 Grizzly. She headed straight to the drag. Before she got the pipes on, this other girl on a raptor always beat her in a race. They raced again and my wife threw a roost all over her as she raced to the finish. I got lucky that night, which is always a good thing I am going to get some shearers when I get some money. Where can I get a good set?
  12. I have some pods setting on the shelf, just haven't installed them
  13. Tried to do a search but it keeps giving me a fatal error message I bought my wife a 2005 banshee ( stock ) and will stay that way except for pipes maybe. I have a 2005 banshee also with head mod, k&n, and Toomey T6 pipes. Would I benifit from putting my T6 pipes on her banshee and getting some shearers for mine?
  14. How will these pipes perform on a stock banshee? Or would another set be better for stock?
  15. Every weekend ( friday and Saturday) 10hrs at least
  16. Anyone play world of warcraft?
  17. My mind id in a Twist (song from KORN) I am getting married so it may be true
  18. Does it have to do with the amount of back-pressure is on the engine? Like a larger pipe would have less back-pressure allowing more air in and out of the engine. Where as a smaller pipe would have more back-pressure allowing less air in and out of the engine. Just trying to get a little understanding of how these engines work.
  19. So if you ran stock jets with lets say Toomey T6 pipes, would your engine run lean?
  20. With after market pipes do you have to change your jetting? I always thought that an aftermarket pipes allowed your engine to flow exhaust better. Couldn't you still run stock jetting with after market pipes? I know if you change anything on the intake you have to change jetting and getting aftermarket pipes compliment the intake changes. Just wondering why when everyone changes pipes they change their jetting.
  21. Will the loss of support using the clamp ons break your intakes?
  22. I ask because we like to ride to what we call the Big Tree. On the ride there you hit dirt (kinda loose) and sand (soft) with some long straights. We usually have to drag before we set up camp at the tree. I have paddles for the main drags at the other end of the river. Just wondering if they do any better than stock tires. It snows in the winter here, just once or twice a year.
  23. Just wondering if thee tires are any good in the sand?
  24. Just wondering if the clamp on filters will make your intakes crack because of the lost support you have with the box?
  25. LOL Man if you are going to fight first learn how to fight. Don't just swing for the fences. Make your punches count. A punch to the lip wont do anything. Punch them in the nose, then kick them in the stomach. You could watch some brazilian ju jitsu tapes and breack his arms or wrist. Choke him out cold even. I used to competition fight and throwing punches never did any good. Takeing them to the ground and snapping a wrist did though. Dont do it anymore though cus of shoulder injuries. A lot of blood doesnt mean you won, Ive had a cut above my eye that never stopped the entire fight. I still won though with a rear naked choke. I won but I sure looked like I got my ass kicked.
