  1. This is an LSR outlaw? Can I get more info on the motor. I love Arlen's stuff and will need something to go in another frame quite soon especially if it's one of his 7mm motors. They are bitchin. Also lookin for info on the sway bar. Is it newer style or old?
  2. Result? And this is the new motor already?
  3. http://www.yfzcentral.com/forum/119-quad-projects/107470-hefez-yfzr-450-700-build-thread.html
  4. I think he's referring to the cap of the spark plug. Most of them are threaded on these days, and it sucks when they wanna loosen up.
  5. ^ what that guy said
  6. Why can't your builder make you the right domes?
  7. That a stock style tank shroud and rad shroud in white? If so how much you want?
  8. Only need a nose piece and rad shroud. Super cheap. Get the big tank and get used to the look. Some desert bikes look hot! Or you can get the nose, shroud, and new tank hydro dipped by JD. That would be sweet
  9. Do you deal peps as well?
  10. Haha, either way I'm balls deep on it. No turning back!
  11. People used to o-ring them like you would a car engine to keep it sealed up. Especially stock cyls with 68+ big bore stuff. I had a motor done like that it worked, but was quite the cost to have the head and the jugs grooved for it.
  12. shut up you! I finally got the balls to start doing a 10 mil. Don't make me puss out and start selling shit off and just do a huge bore 4mil motor.
  13. These debates get brought up time and time again. It's always comparing a 30 year old Banshee/RZ platform against this years latest proto type/ race production stuff. You want a comparison, put an 80's four stroke 350 road bike against an RZ 350. Stock to stock.
  14. I wish Canadians all said "eh" like The Fonze! It would be like " ah boy, it's aboot to git rill cold Aayyyyee........"
  15. I think the only 5mm stroker crank I saw was a twister. I think we both know there probably isn't a twister in that motor with out someone knowing.
  16. Also, if you are dead set on letting your local mechanic do this for you, that means you trust him. Since he's such an expert on banshees why can't he answer your question? There is a huge difference between the guy that can bore your jugs and assemble the top end, and the guy that has a machine shop as well as oodles of mock up cases, gaskets, plates, and a degree wheel to inspect your current mess and sort it out properly be it with port work and new domes on correct height gaskets, or figuring out how to get it to run right with out changing it. If your Mechanic can't set up your domes or tell you whether or not to run that plate you are in the wrong spot. I ran my banshee for years with the local shop behind me and i thought it was boss as fuck. Then I finally sent it to a proven builder off HQ and holy Fuck! There is a huge difference. Just letting ya know.
  17. Ok, I am being nice when I say my next statement. Much of what you are saying is a hot mess. Especially the stock cyl/Athena cyl comparison. That's like saying cubs are like stock cyls, except have triple exhaust, aux. ports, nikasil and they are cast together as one jug. Other then that they are the same. ( bustin your balls by the way) But on to the set up. You are sure it's 5mm crank stroke not 5mm longer rod? It could be both but much of your info is conflicting. Also, the only way to know if you can run them with out a plate is to have a builder determine if it messes up the port geometry. As taking that spacer out lowers the cylinder. This usually requires additional port work as well as having the head/domes set up to match. With what your saying it seems that in your case you need a builder to take a look to advise you where to go with it. Not the local Yutz mechanic! No matter how many banshees they may do top ends on.
  18. Honkeys get built like that in the joint eating Ramen Noodles and peanut butter after a severe session of swoll. I did.....
  19. 10 DM cylinder Over ride Alky
  20. Now you can make killer looking custom hangers
  21. 4mil serval would be your hot ticket. But if you're stuck on the stock crank a stock stroke serval might..... Or might not do it
  22. 8K? I know guys are putting a lot of time and effort in to these, but there is no way that people can expect that kind of return when bikes of way higher caliber go for less. It's a nice hybrid but I think you need to accept that you aren't getting every dollar you spent back.
