  1. Pick up should be about .015
  2. Unless you are..... A full retard.
  3. Well shit, that was short lived. I'd imagine he has went back to doing his own stuff? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Ti sub is only 2 lbs, then I might as well go that route, because with all the tube, massive amount of resin and the fittings for the bolt on side I'll definitely be over 2 lbs. I've been in contact with Viking, so we'll see.
  5. Running the rear shock nice and stiff to get some wheelies...
  6. What's the bike looking like these days?
  7. So this was the gambler debter?
  8. Bike is going on a diet before next year. I've got ideas on how do do this as well as a few other parts. If someone makes it I'd rather buy it then go through the trouble of making one. I fucking hate working with carbon and fiberglass!
  9. Start it in neutral? With my sling shot, it's gotta be hot to even have a chance in hell starting it in gear. Otherwise you have issues elsewhere and something in there isn't right.
  10. Those holes milled in to one side are how you adjust it. You need some sort of spanner wrench. Can be a nice one, can be a cheap one. The carrier is eccentric, meaning that rotating it fore and aft will tighten or loosen it. Loosen the pinch bolts, rotate carrier till chain has adequate play. Tighten pinch bolts.
  11. Bravo, spectacular display of idiocracy!
  12. Nice shop! Just by the way that place is organized I get the impression it'll get done right. Good luck with the build man.
  13. That's how it starts. Every time a simple job turns in to a federal project and all the contents of your wallet to continue.
  14. Is it possible that the shims were still in good shape and the crank was coming apart? So even after closing it up the thing could still be usable and have good tolerances all around? I've seen guys buy brand new 4mm cranks, assemble the motor and since it wasn't welded, it walks. To correct it they mush it back together and true it all up and check phase then weld. Granted I'm talking motors with not a lot of run time and the shims are still good.
  15. Not bad for what ya got beef. I bet you can get 4.0's maybe high 3's with work. Start chasing a 60 in the .40's. That was the first time out on that combo right?
  16. As long as it's clean and flat, sealant is fresh you should be fine. I usually Scotch Brite it and it's more then good. Don't go sanding on them because then you start to distort the surfaces. Side note, put it together in matched cases. Your crank and trans will thank you.
  17. Banshee cases are by far one of the easiest cases to split. Most other stuff is sideways, these you just lift off the top. Trans is two clusters with bearings on each end, and then there is the crank. Plus some clips to hold the bearings.
  18. Mmmm, I wouldn't ride out there alone. I was lucky to have a phone on me when I went down last summer. Had to share my location with the neighbor kid and he Baja blasted his grand am through trails to come get me. Out there, I'd imagine some wild animal or Abo would eat you before help came. Side note, it's like watching Detroit hood tv. But aren't most Aussies Honkeys?
  19. Gonna have to ask some folks that were out there.
  20. I'm assuming they came with ball joints new though? And what part number or where to get them?
  21. I've easily spent the same over 5 years
  22. ^ problem solved
