  1. Pay with a postal money order and have them send it usps. no item it is mail fraud and a federal offense. I got screwed on a set of heads. Called the local pd where the seller is from and got the police to go talk to him about it. I got my money back.
  2. I am going to go out on a limb here. But cutting those huge ass fenders off the front will lower your coefficient of drag. It will raise you top speed some but 10 km/h? more like 1-2 km/h. Aerodynamics play a huge role in top speed. Want to go faster? cut aero drag down. Racer taping the front of my Chevelle, removing the mirrors, putting plexiglass over the rear window recess, a full belly pan, raising the rear of the hood and blocking the radiator hole 75% raised my top speed from 157 to 172.
  3. The death penalty is too good quick and easy. No make the wankers be tied to a barrel or put in stocks and kept in a room for 10 hours a day. Then the prisoners can use them for conjugal uses. let them feel what its like to be taken against their wills. Better yet let HIV infected inmates at them and then use them for AIDS testing.
  4. He is really good.. I don't understand what happened. When i was out to sea he redid my tope end so we could go to the desert as soon as I got back in. The threads would be like hard nipples compared to the c cups they would normally be.
  5. every time i adjusted the float i would clean everything with brake cleaner until it was spotless. There is nothing i can see that would cause it to leak. Well this can't be an expensive fix so I guess i am going to buy them today from Alba.
  6. NO Not turn down the sprocket locator area just where the threads are. Make it just to the next regular thread size (fine threads SAE or Metric) and make a new nut the same outside diameter but the new inner diameter. Heat treat it (the nut) and call it good. and yeah the 4mm idea has been on my mind a lot.
  7. My duner has the stock 26mm mikuni's. After riding for a bit the carbs leak when sitting until i turn off the fuel. I have adjusted the floats more times than i can count and i think that the needle and seat is just worn out now. Has anyone else dealt with this?
  8. I would just tip my shee on its side until the overflows flowed freely for 15-20 second then it kicks over after 3-5 kicks for me.
  9. I let a friend help me out a bit and when he put the sprocket on and used the impact on it he had it crossthreaded. Can i buy just that shaft or do i need to buy a whle new transmission. Or can i just turn it down and thread it a smaller size and make a custom nut to hold the sprocket?
  10. So if it was worth 3 HP on a stock air cooled twin up top what would it be worth on a mildly ported V-forced piped twin? 5-7hp? even 3 would be good. i have a set of 3/8 inch reeds just sitting. Or what about a full drag ported engine with stock cylinders CPI's and 35 pwk's?
  11. I have a set of 35mm PWK's with throttle cable. Send me some pics to frankenchevy@yahoo.com
  12. I will be camping in 1 of 3 places. Right where sand highway meets the "road to olds " just back in the trees a bit. Or around Wash 10? I drive a black and red blazer and have 2 LT250's and a completely reworked 88(basicaly it is a 2000) Banshee. Just over the weekend though. I will be out there late friday and rollin back early sunday. I might get talked into going to ocotillo wells instead. Depends on who is going where. Pretty sure i am going to Glamis though
  13. I run a K&n in the airbox with an outerwear on my banshee (gonna get the K&N airbox lid for it too.) I run a 39mm inlet 4inch by 6 inch K&N with a pantyhose prefilter on my 87 suzuki for the 39 PJ (the outerwear fell off and the pantyhose work great!) I also run a stock style K&N with a hacked up air box on my 85 Suzuki (no prefilter) Just for shits and grins i went from stock airbox and K&N to 5 inch clamp ons with outerwears at the drag strip and only gained .009 sec and .2 mph (cut a .516 on the tree too.) If you have airbox and K&N leave it be. If ease of maintenance is your primary worry get the clamp on's. Depends on the riding you are goin to do. What do you want?
  14. If you are going to split the case anyway either buy a new crank or have yours rebuilt trued, indexed, then welded. I built the engine in my friends 2003 banshee and we tuned it through trial and error. His bike has the following mods: Play port (by me) K&N filter K&N airbox lid Toomey T6's V-Force 2's Cool head w' 20 cc domes still stock carb'd (he won't put on the 30's i bought him) We ride almost always at glamis and his bike likes 280 mains and 27.5 pilots(least i think they are 27.5 )
  15. their mail order customer service sucks in my experience.
  16. 1. When his 38-caliber revolver failed to fire at his intended victim during a hold-up in Long Beach, California, would-be robber James Elliot did something that can only inspire wonder. He peered down the barrel and tried the trigger again. This time it worked..... And now, the honorable mentions: 2. The chef at a hotel in Switzerland lost a finger in a meat-cutting machine and, after a little shopping around, submitted a claim to his insurance company. The company expecting negligence sent out one of its men to have a look for himself. He tried the machine and he also lost a finger. The chef's claim was approved. 3. A man who shoveled snow for an hour to clear a space for his car during a blizzard in Chicago returned with his vehicle to find a woman had taken the space. Understandably, he shot her. 4. After stopping for drinks at an illegal bar, a Zimbabwean bus driver found that the 20 mental patients he was supposed to be transporting from Harare to Bulawayo had escaped. Not wanting to admit his incompetence, the driver went to a nearby bus stop and offered everyone waiting there a free ride. He then delivered the passengers to the mental hospital, telling the staff that the patients were very excitable and prone to bizarre fantasies The deception wasn't discovered for 3 days. 5. An American teenager was in the hospital recovering from serious head wounds received from an oncoming train. When asked how he received the injuries, the lad told police that he was simply trying to see how close he could get his head to a moving train before he was hit. 6. A man walked into a Louisiana Circle-K, put a $20 bill on the counter, and asked for change. When the clerk opened the cash drawer, he man pulled a gun and asked for all the cash in the register, which the clerk promptly provided. The man took the cash from the clerk and fled, leaving the $20 bill on the counter. The total amount of cash he got from the drawer...$15. (If someone points a gun at you and gives you money, is a crime committed?) 7. Seems an Arkansas guy wanted some beer pretty badly. He decided that he'd just throw a cinderblock through a liquor store window, grab some booze, and run. So he lifted the cinderblock and heaved it over his head at the window. The cinderblock bounced back and hit the would-be thief on the head, knocking him unconscious. The liquor store window was made of Plexiglas. The whole event was caught on videotape. 8. As a female shopper exited a New York convenience store, a man grabbed her purse and ran. The clerk called 911 immediately, and the woman was able to give them a detailed description of the snatcher. Within minutes, the police apprehended the snatcher. They put him in the car and drove back to the store. The thief was then taken out of the car and told to stand there for a positive ID. To which he replied, "Yes, officer, that's her. That's the lady I stole the purse from." 9. The Ann Arbor News crime column reported that a man walked into a Burger King in Ypsilanti, Michigan, at 5 a.m., flashed a gun, and demanded cash. The clerk turned him down because he said he couldn't open the cash register without a food order. When the man ordered onion rings, the clerk said they weren't available for breakfast. The man, frustrated, walked away. ******A 5-STAR STUPIDITY AWARD WINNER***** 10. When a man attempted to siphon gasoline from a motor home parked on a Seattle street, he got much more than he bargained for. Police arrived at the scene to find a very sick man curled up next to a motor home near spilled sewage. A police spokesman said that the man admitted to trying to steal gasoline and plugged his siphon hose into the motor home's sewage tank by mistake. The owner of the vehicle declined to press charges, saying that it was the best laugh he'd ever had.

  22. I end up rubber side up pretty often in the sand. Too much is just right and my bike tends to show it. Paint wouldn't last long under those conditions. Haven't done too much else except bend the bars and crease the white plastics so far.
  23. I want to redo the look of my banshee. I want black rear fenders. Prefer no stress cracks. Race cut black front plastics. Don't want front fullbores Maier is ok as long as it is the shiny style. Pm me with cost shipped to 92115 and pictures of your plastic for sale.
