  1. Its not just over there. All our involvement over there is about oil. Don't let anyone tell you differently. we are keeping the Arabian gulf free for traffic of the tankers that feed our hungry petrol drinking machines. I spent 4.5 months patroling the Iraqi oil platforms after Iraqi freedom. Anyone that says differently is naieve or just plain stupid. Once the world reserve of oil goes away those arab countries are going to be begging the rest of the world for food and medical supplies because they will be broke from not having anyway to make money in the no oil global economy. WWIII? Not yet. But keep watch. Oh and join the coast guard? You will end up over there too. there were USCG ships in the gulf with my destroyer. They are still there now. Go NAVY. at least then your ship will be properly maintained and funded.
  2. Any california riders out there ever been to one of these? The safety officer on my ship is hassling me about a safety course because i tore my right acl and did a class 3 sprain of my ankle on a glamis trip.
  3. hell yeah its worth $1000 you can sell the engine for almost that much. If it rides good and runs decent don't f%$k with it. Why put a 350 in the place of a 500? I had the oppurtunity to buy a KX500 trike. Bought my Banshee instead.
  4. Good to hear your keeping your head down. Come back with all your fingers and toes so you can ride as much as you can. I am lucky i just do circles around the oil platform or this next trip drop off a buncha low IQ marines that don't understand boxer shorts clog up the toilet when you try to wash em and let go!
  5. s10forum.com lots of airbag info on there.
  6. This is a testy subject. I had 3 step dads growing up. The current one is going on 22 years now. Steve is my step dad but going to be grampa steve and my dad is gonna be grampa jimmy. I was the rebellious teenager. GTA drugs alchohol. My parents had absolutley no control in their own house. He tried the whole buddy thing at first it worked pretty well. when he put his foot down and tried to be my Dad is when everything went to hell for them. they never really figured it out. Neither did i until i was 24 or so. We get along great now.
  7. Go to south jersey. My family lives in Cumberland county (Millville / Vineland etc) lots of farms down there. And even more woods. You ask the farmers nicely in the winter and they say yes most of the time. There is also a SHITTON of trails in the woods. Jeep traps everywhere so the troopers can't follow you. LOL yeah go down the shore in the winter and ride on the beach. LOLOL just don't get caught!

  10. Nope don't have it backwards. By polishing the combustion chambers it lessens the compression by removing material but it also improves detonation resistance by removing sharp edges and places for carbon to deposit. I then mill it .025 - .060 to raise the compression for improved performance.
  11. this actually lowers your compression by removing material from the combustion chamber. I do this mod for my friends, but i mill them from .025 to .060 depending on what they want. Before i polish them.

  16. yeah the write up intrigued me. So i bought them, got the pair for $120. Just looking for someone else that might have some experience so i don't have to start from scratch. If they perform half as good as they claim my shee is gonna rail! My roommate claims his yfz is faster and i disagree. I ported my friend craigs cylinders(Pretty muld port job too) and that bike is faster than his 450.
  17. Ok all i bought some 34mm round slide mikuni's modifiedby Boswell Engineering.(off ebay) Has anyone here heard of this company? It seems they went out of business in the middle 90's.
