there is an acid you can wash the piston out of the cylinder. did it scratch the walls at all?

ya gotta watch cutting floats off and running gas, I have heard it makes the bike bog now and then. so I am thinkin this is not the best mod for a dune bike

I called the platers that jeff uses the other day and they said they have about a two week turn around time. Also if ya want to pay alittle extra you can get an express service where they bump ya up the list and get your stuff done faster. I have done this before in order it get my stuff back and running for a race. just a heads up.

I would get some billet bowls and drill the vent line bigger on the gas cap. may not need the bowls but for 150.00 seems a whole lot cheaper than rebuilding the top end and or replacing a crank.

slow down the tire speed by gearing up, and stiffen up the rear shock. you want a stiff rear suspension so the weight transfers faster. also try sliding back on the seat a little bit.

I have heard of using jet ski cylinders before, but never yz250 jugs. Not saying it cant be done, but I have never seen it.

I was running 350 mains and 27.5 pilots on my play bike when I put my shearers on it. I did not have to buy anything else special to put them on other than the shearer pipe orings suck and leak real bad. jeff at FAST sells a better set. other than that you should be good to go

best help I can give you is, take everything you know about tuning gas and throw it out the window. With gas you are trying to run the bike as lean as possable with out burning it down. with alky you are trying to get as much fuel in the motor as you can without hydrolocking it. you need about twice the amount of alky as you do fuel. Also you can ride the bike say on a weekend trip then purge it right before you put it away. I have done this a couple of times with out porblems. as far as setup with the lectrons I think I would call a couple of builders that use them. they should get ya close.

I ran ported stockers with tdrs for a long time, worked great. but when I built my cub I bought some vf3's throttle response seemed to be better with the v forces. but the stockers where much cheaper and did work.
