  1. I have received many phone calls while jeff is sokein it up in the hot tub, and yeah he does have some good jokes!!
  2. looks like melisa is riding the drag bike brent. and I am with dave on the bikini thing!!!!
  3. :yelrotflmao: and it starts all ready!!!!! tell bob I am taking offers, how much cash can I make not to fix brents bike.
  4. check and make sure the deck of the cylinder is true, when the platers sand blast the cylinders they have been putting low spots in the deck causing the cylinder to suck water, also make sure your head is true. there is alot of things to check when putting one of these motors together, you cant just slap it together and hope it works. What is your elevation? what size carbs are you running? my 4 mill on gas with 39 pwks liked 165 mains and 60 pilots. If your fibers have no grooves they are smoked! get with jeff from FAST and get one of his clutch kits, I have one and it has been going strong for 2 years, ad most of that was on a 4 mill cub with no lock up.
  5. just get a fuel solenoid that is compatible with alky, and jet it according lee. nos makes a gas solenoid and an alky solenoid.
  6. Put a bigger main jet in it!!! If it wants more fuel give it to it. like I said I am running 350 mains in my t5 play bike I would try a 300 in your bike, if it goes away do a plug chop and go from there.
  7. a stock cdi box retards the timing as the rpm increases also, just to let ya know. I would send it back, you already have the timing advanced right? why would you wanna go more than +4 on a gas play bike??
  8. your main jet seems small to me. I am running a 350 main in my play bike and all it has is boysen reeds, t5's and clamp on filters!
  9. yeah we took all the electrical off of my drag bike, we even swapped out my nology and plug wires. plugs look good as far as jetting goes, may be alittle fat if anything. I have a stock coil I will try that for shits and giggles, and I will pull the carbs and clean um.
  10. comp is 165 in both holes, rad is full, and as far as we can tell all the grounds are good. do ya have to clean off where the coil mounts? he is running a nology coil on it. I made sure to scrape the pc off where the front engine mounts are also.
  11. do you still have tores on your carbs?? are these stock carbs we are dealing with??
  12. what color is the smoke?? are both plugs black?? might be the clutch side crank seal letting tranny oil into the crank case.
  13. I would order everything from jeff, he knows what all is needed to make your bike run right! I ran jeffs clutch kit on my drag ported cub when it was on gas with no lock up and it did not slip. Now I am running his clutch with stock springs and a lock up just because I am on alky and I am running more paddles.
  14. rumor has it, if you cut the t-3's they can be a really good drag pipe. I have done a google search on it and there are tech articles on how to do it.
  15. dont forget to drill the vent on the gas cap as big as you can, and take the check ball out if it has one like the banshee
  16. you need to go get a drill index that has bits that are in the .118-.130 sizes. harbor freight has one. You have to drill right through the main and up through the dump tube. dont try using a drill bit that is close to the size you need. get the right stuff! there are also a couple other things that need to be done to the carb.
  17. would work better, for a couple in my group. super cross is the third weekend, and brents ol lady has surgery thst weekend so the fourth weekend is a go!
  18. jeff is fastoys on here, or farmandsandtoys.com he will know what drill bit to use, and he will install the power jets for ya.
  19. send the carb out to a reputable builder and they can convert it over for ya. jeff at fast does some real nice work and can get ya dialed in. No you dont run regular jets, you have to drill the jets out with a drill bit to run alky. Yes you should run a bigger petcock, pingle makes a real nice one. You also have to drill the vent bigger on the gas cap so it can let the tank flow more. To purge your bike, all you have to do is pull the fuel line off the carb, hook a bottle up to the carb with some pre mix gas and start the bike. Run it till it gets real boggey and barely wants to run. then you know you have gas in your carb and engine, not alky. Also dont forget to plug the vent line and the pipe when not in use so moister does not get into the alky. I shoot for about 175psi of compression on alky, you can also run a bunch of timing.
  20. no motion for ya!!! I can here the tune already.
  21. ARE WE THERE YET???
  22. how much for the wheels and tires together??
  23. let me run it by him, I will get back to ya. thanks
  24. Well if ya have it apart you can have it ported, mill the stock head to raise the compression, or run a cool head, get a timing plate, reeds are a good add on. the list goes on and on!
