  1. Loosen the gas cap....if the vent tube or check ball in the gas cap is plugged, it'll run for a few minutes and die once the vacuum won't allow it to pull fuel anymore. You've tried new plugs, right? White smoke is bad, blue smoke is ok (just rich on premix or jetting, but...at 40:1, you're fine) Have you removed the carbs, removed all jets and items and thoughoughly cleaned them, I'm talking speaker wire to clean all passages... Does it have the brass idle screws on the sides of each carb installed? Just because the TORS is removed, doesn't mean someone forgot to put the idle kit on.....
  2. What is your elevation?
  3. The only downside of 2's is the little screws that hold the reeds in. Wise idea to put a dab loctite on the threads so they don't end up inside the motor.... 2's I've been told dyno a pony or two more than 3s....but, as said...harder to find!
  4. Here's my text of conversation via email with them, you be the judge...WTF does "I have BIG feedback on ebay" mean? Oh, you have a very good feedback rating, ok....yeah, say that then. Scumbags... I have cash in hand, will pay 3000 in cash or certified check to pickup the banshee you have listed on ebay, item # 200043381813 I will drive from Detroit MI any day you choose to pick this up, any day/time you choose. Why don't you give me a phone number to call you on? Dave Hello, You had writed in my eBay Account 2700 but now 3000 so I will go for it for $3,000.00 and the deal is done. I will notify eBay right now regarding our transaction and theY will contact you soon. Thank you! I will pay in person in cash, or no deal. I will not go through Ebay.... Your call. Dave Hello, I'm sorry but you can see that I have a big feedback and all the transaction I'm doing it throught eBay only, I'm sorry. Thank you! What is the VIN on this quad?
  5. Do you mean Dan HUll from A&S? Yeah, that man does know his shit, that's for 100% sure. But, gather some more opinions before you make your final wager....read up on it!!
  6. Yeah, sent them a few messages via ebay and email, it was all send the money via paypal buy it now, I offered him 3000 cash in hand, pickup in person.... That's a 20K bike new in parts, would sell for 8 to 10 K all day.... Scam scam scam....
  7. No sweat...Jay... That bkabina guy bought them back, seems they missed home!!! Paid, sold...will ship on Monday. Good luck with the Job Jay...hopefully we get a chance to meet up and ride a few times at Silver Lake next year.... Daj..
  8. They just told me they're notifying ebay to begin the deal??? WTF.... Told them cash in person or no deal, both via ebay message and email. Let's see what they say....
  9. Steal them back might be an understatement:) Sold to bkabina, pending payment!!! Thanks everyone!!! Steve...PM'd you the info!
  10. Just PM'd you my email addy.... Bad idea to post email addresses on a public forum, you're inviting spammers of all kinds if you do. I figured that was the deal...I gaurentee you it's a scam...or I'd go for the ride with you with my little friend and 10 of his friends in the clip....
  11. Rod....you send them a check or money order without going to them in person I will personally roost you next time I see you.... Go look at this quad, it's a fake auction. A Lonestar frame and 10mil cub motor? If NOTHING else came on the bike, it'd be 4 ot 5Gs right there.... It's a sham, fake auction. Tell them to give you an address...to meet them at. I will go there this weekend and peel off 2700 in cash if this is legit.....and I won't be the first in line, I can tell you that!!! Of course they'll take a check or money order....they'll take anything you got...cause you ain't getting anything for it. I"m going to ask them now if I can come and look at it and will have 2700 cash in hand, I gaurentee they want me to pay before I even leave my doorstep.... Here's my email AND ebay message to them: I have 2700 cash in hand and will meet you immediately any time. I will drive to you right away, coming from metro-Detroit MI. What phone number can I call you at? Dave
  12. Guarentee it's a hacked account. This guy listed it under coins, and this guy only sold coins/collectibles in the other auction feedbacks. I know if this is a legit listing, he's scamming ebay out of money by not putting it in the Ebay Motors section....
  13. Actually...I think it's your buddy that JUST joined yesterday with 7 total posts that has no life, did you cry to him or something to help you out. Loco....I'll send you a boost bottle if you think that'll win you these plastics. That, and I have some stock pipes and silencers laying around....they're prolly worth a few bucks in scrap metal...more than I can say for this guy's attitude....
  14. Oh hell yes....with all the porting work, pipes, intakes, stroker and carbs it'll be a TOTALLY different bike. I'm guilty of skimming...I just read the post of how much difference from a stock crank to 4 mil long rod. That mod in itself will not be a huge deal. Combined with all the other goodies...oh yeah, you're gonna have a blast.... Sorry if my post was confusing!
  15. Without a doubt...programmable dyna. You can run it now out of the box, see which curve meets your need....and in the future when you have time/money, tune it for the most output. When you go Nology, make sure you get their Hotwires, NOT the standard wires. Call or PM Jeff @ FAST, his prices are comptetitve or better than anything I've seen out there, and his service is fantastic. He normally has all this in stock, as well.... www.farmandsandtoys.com
  16. And that...my friend, will never be a problem again...
  17. You'll get a couple of HP and probably a few more ft. lbs of torque... The crank alone will not set your hair on fire, but...will be noticeable. Did you get the porting on your cylinder cut to match the longer stroke?
  18. I have the Dyna and Nology w/ hotwires. Absolutely trouble free for me, roughly 12 to 15 dyno pulls, well over 100 passes on the 300 ft sand drags, and a good two day's riding at the dunes. They are simple, and work. Make sure you use resistor plugs for the dyna.... There are plenty of good ignitions out there, Wilburn is probably the best...but you're going to pay over a grand for it.... Dyna and Nology, no batteries, charging, etc...needed. Plug it in and go. However, once you're ready....you can custom program the dyna with 100 dollars worth of software and a cable to get the most out of your bike. Many will tell you that stock ignition are just fine, many more will tell you they noticed a difference in easier starting and crisper response once they bolted one or both of these items on. I built a nice little cub motor, why go cheap/OEM on the ignition....a good spark is where it's at.... My .02.
  19. They worked AWESOME.... It was really cold at Silver Lake last weekend....just opened 'em up a bit. I checked plugs at least 3 or 4 times, I even tried the Irridium plugs (waste of $$, IMO) and they looked great. Really didn't matter, it's getting torn down very soon for my override, and I'll probably freshen up the top end while I'm in there...but, I like knowing I'm a hair rich on jetting and I have a nice bit of color to my plugs. I did have to lean out my pilot, as cubs like...but, it ran crisp and clean from idle to top!! I'm getting Dave Moore Superjets for my alky setup....can't wait. I know they're pretty deep in the body....but, it still takes some good vacuum to pull the fuel, so...1/4 to mid throttle was probably minimal....depending on how open the knobs were.

  21. I work in the IT industry....AVG is no where near the protection Norton can offer....you get what you pay for. Not to mention, their scanning engine is the worst in the biz (takes 3 times as long as others...) You have to use a layered approach...no one product does it all. Currently, the best paid for AVs are: NOD32 Kaspersky Norton 2007. Free: Antivir You need an active spyware/malware program, as well as a software AND hardware firewall if you're on broadband. Try an alternative browser to Internet Explorer, too... I use personally: Norton 2006 Antivirus (AV only, NOT their firewall, too slow and resource hog) Sygate Personal Firewall Linksys Router/Firewall Spywareblaster (prevents some, must be updated manually) CounterSpy (the best spyware/adware preventer out there, but, it's 20 bucks) I use Firefox as my browser, and have never looked back in years. The ability to customize your browser and their tabbed browsing is the best. I know IE7 beta has tabs, but not nearly as nice as Firefox... Microsoft's Windows Defender, believe it or not, is the best free anti/spyware/malware/junkware program out there. It is based on a similar engine to CounterSpy...not quite as robust. The days of free AV's being adequate, SpyBot and AdAware free being enough are gone.... They help, yes...but I do this everyday, all day. You'd be surprised what I find on user's PCs who thought they had enough coverage.... Oh...to add, occasionally I'll run an online scan as a backup to my passive antivirus. www.trendmicro.com and panda online scans are very good as well... By the way...here's a comparison of AV's from a non-profit site, as of May 2006. AVG picked up 7% of the new spyware/viruses/etc., the worst in the group.... http://www.av-comparatives.org/seiten/ergebnisse_2006_05.php
  22. CAM2, PM Machwon on this board, his name is Bob of R&B racing out of Michigan. True, you can build your own from hardware parts, but he sells a kit ready to use and has done all the legwork for you for about 20 bucks or so more than you can drive around and buy the parts yourself. Bob is a helluva nice guy, send him a PM....they're really not that expensive. I wanna say 50 bucks or so, but...don't quote me 100% on that. Good luck!
  23. It all depends on how well your dealer will take care of you...period. Traditionally, the banshee is a performance ATV, thus....no warranty like any other perforamance model. MY old CR dirt bikes never came with a warranty... I'm sure if something broke in the 90 days, it was a legitimate fault of the OEM, the dealer should take care of it. Otherwise, the warranties are pretty worthless, unless your dealer is very good with customer service....
  24. There are three types of wiring harnesses that I know of. 87-94, 95-96 and 97 to current. Get a clymers and splice wires, they should work just fine.
  25. Jay....got your reply before you edited it... Sorry, I'm firm on 250.... I paid 225 for them, got CEL needles and powerjets into them, I'm pretty sure they're worth every penny of 250... I'll keep them for gas carbs if that's the case. Thanks though....
