  1. I think you need to fix your ignition problem before you rule it jetting. 55 is a very rich pilot, it's what we run around here for the pilot in ALKY bikes....which, as you may know...require twice the fuel as gas bikes do. Bob...I think I replied to your post in another forum.... I have a stock 96 CDI that I know works. You would have to cut/splice wires, and I'll let you try it for free as long as it comes back to me with the harness/wires in as good of shape as can be expected. You just pay shipping...and you can try it. Up to you...but, I think you have an electrical problem/Ignition problem first....then sort out your jetting.

Jim, I'm looking for you as well....trying to find something local for you....
  3. Furthermore.... I had a TON of problems with my cub last year. Researched, and found jankab from Planet Sand, saw he was local from Michigan. At the time, he was working for fun and side money out of a local well known dyno here in southern MI. The only bad thing I can say about this guy is I wish I could've met up with him and became friends sooner...probably could've saved me a lot of time, money, and trial and error. If there is ANYONE he could've screwed over, it would be me. He's got my frame, my complete motor, my money (for a few parts to finish the build)....he could tell me to piss off, lock doors, etc. Instead, he's always on the lookout for good deals....on whatever. One day it was straight cut gears, the next it was plastic already painted....you name it. He's offered to let me stay at his own family's place at the dunes to crash if need be. Opening up a house for someone you hardly know (for a year) is to me a true statement of one's character. You're only trying to smear his name because you got caught, and not only caught...but pants down, hand in the cookie jar, pecker in the apple pie caught. I've worked hard trying to build a good rep here buying and selling parts with other members. Anyone that has a single question about Jankab can ask me personally....and I will tell you what a straight forward guy he is.... I don't care if your parents live 2000 miles away. Your communication sucks...and that just gets the ball rolling against you from there. The fact you short change people, lie and cheat them are the nails in your coffin here.
  4. Honestly, you've got some nerve.... You've got all these strikes against you, and Jankab flat out called you out trying to sell parts for monetary gain on your part because you needed money for school. It's not your track record for shipping alone. You lied and got caught. You shorted Chase@miamiatv 2 bucks. You shorted me 2 bucks. Is it about the money? nope...sure isn't. But...it's about the point and the pattern. Let me guess...you sent Chase a taped envelope with cash in it too? Cash...in the mail? WTF is wrong with you? IF the only complaint I had with you was slow shipping, I would never have said a word, kept it private 100%. But you continue to lie, cheat and steal from members, SEVERAL members I've personally done business with and never once had a problem. I'm sure there are quite a few people on here that may not like me, like my attitude, like my posts, sarcasm, humor, whatever.... You will not find a SINGLE PERSON on here that has bought or sold stuff to me that will tell you I've done them wrong, lied, cheated or stole from them in one bit.... I GAVE you a 90 dollar one year old gold X Ring chain for 12 bucks. 11.15 actual shipping, you sent me 10 cash in an envelope. That is exactly what kind of person I am....I will give what I can to who I can to help them out. ASK ANYONE that has done business with me here on HQ. Don't you even try to smear my name, call me a cheat, liar....or theif. Look at your record, look at mine....and I challenge you to say otherwise.
  5. Bring a bag of jets to Silver Lake, and I'll do my best to help you jet it in. I know a group of us are going the third or 4th weekend in April...if you and pops can make it out there.... We might have to stop by and drag ol' Rodney out too.... I'll get a fishing pole, some 20lb test and a beer can to lure his ass out.... LOL...
  6. You can click on his banner, he's a site sponsor. FAST 785-364-5325 www.farmandsandtoys.com
  7. I like Denzel as an actor, and he does put out some hella good flics. As far as a person, he can eat shit. He uses his hollywood voice to yell out "the man is keeping the black man down" and shit like that. Obviously, by his success and bankroll, the "Man" didn't keep him down very far. Another Al Sharpton and/or Jesse Jackson...a couple of the biggest hypocrites I've ever heard of or seen....
  8. You've peaked my interest as well....keep me in the loop as well...
  9. My first opinion is get rid of that amsoil junk.... Sorry...had to get that out of the way. I'd say 160 mains, CEL needle middle clip and 50 pilots. That's probably a bit rich, but....it should be pretty safe. Also....if you plan on running LONG drags and/or extended WOT...a few other guys here have been running their float bowls dry. Running out of fuel on a two stroke is like shutting off the oil pump on your car. So...be careful...
  10. Wiseco or NGK makes one, forgot which....think it's NGK. Was 100 bucks or so, but...I don't think it was trail or dune friendly (in other words, I don't think you'd want it on the bike at all times) What kind of problems are you having? http://www.ngksparkplugs.com/products/air-...&country=US
  11. Actually....the dipshit can't even quote a person right, go figure. He wrote me a long drawn out explanation about being a Christian, not in his beliefs to hold a grudge, he has issues he knows he needs to work on, let's put this rivalry behind us. Basically licking my ass. So, I wrote him back, trying to be a nice guy and let bygones be bygones. What he typed up there is what I TYPED to him in a PM. I didn't save him PM because as said, he's just not important enough. Obviously I've made such a huge impact in his life that he felt the need to save my PM. Or it could be the only one he's gotten on this board, either way...I've shaved some pubes and ass hair for you to take with you where ever you go, that way you can feel close to me and we can continue this connection. You're exactly right...if he's such a tough guy, let him get on his big wheel and start peddling his ass up here. Why would I go knock on his parents door, I might interrupt nap time....then he'd really be cranky and upset. Funny his avatar is a tranformer, ironic actually.... The phrase: "More that meats the brown eye" seems to be his motto....
  12. I don't know about that....I'm reading that and laughing pretty hard to myself. That shit there is funny....I don't care who ya are...
  13. Ebay for cheap used parts, sometimes pretty cheap new parts too. Jeff @ FAST has pretty good pricing as well. He's no ebay dealer, but then again....you wont' get customer service like him on ebay. Magic Racing in MI has a good price on a complete top end kit, about 159 for pistons, rings, clips, pins, bearings and ALL gaskets you'll need. I'd bet my tail if you sent your cylinders to Jeff for boring, he'd give you just as good a price on the top end kit...and he can probably get you a good price on a crank, stroker or stock stroke. If you're gonna do a stroker/long rod crank, now is the time. You have two options with OEM cylinders. A. Get long rod pistons pistons (795 series Wiseco), get stroker domes cut for a cool head, and get the porting matched. (Best case) B. Get long rod pistons and run a spacer plate on the bottom. (2mm thick) Never been a fan of spacer plates, one more place to leak.
  14. Pull off the flywheel and look EVERYWHERE for wear marks, or scrape marks. If it were crank or rod bearings, it would only be getting worse, and probably would have seized up by now to be honest. I can't say for 100% sure on the crank, but....normally crank bearings don't last long when they start making noise like that. Make sure all the wires and clamp are out of the way for the stator, check all the windings, check to make sure the bolts are tight, check to make sure the pickup coil wires are tucked, and make sure the pickup coil has the correct gap from the flywheel magnets (.015 to .018)... I'd love to take a look at it Dave, but...I've got my own projects going on for sure.... I worked on jmkampala's carbs yesterday for his Frankenstein collection. Good news is it fired up first kick, bad news is the slides are a little sticky...and his clutch is WAY out of adjustments. So....my plate is a bit full right now!!!
  15. That little motor runs good, the bike was on the trailer before I had a chance to hear it that last day we were there in 06. I would take the left side cover off and start the bike, see if you can isolate that sound. Does it get faster as you rev the engine up? Is it louder or quieter when it's cold/warm? You've said you've ridden the bike quite a bit since last October, still runs great, but the tick is still there. I'm wondering if it isn't something silly like a pinhole in the exhaust, near a weld, near the hangers or maybe even at the header/stinger tube meeting....
  16. Jackass Part 3, Banshee HQ edition... :yelrotflmao:
  17. Ha ha ha... I never said I wasn't a smart ass.... Clearly though, you've earned the dumb ass title. Yep, for once you wrote the truth....too bad you actually had to copy and paste EXACTLY what I wrote you.... I didn't feel the need to save your sob story in my PMs, you don't mean enough to me to give a shit. AND....that was a reply to you for basically sticking you head up my ass....clearly you've removed it, and stuck it back up your own. I think you should stick that wideband sensor up your ass...maybe you can get a feel for tuning your bullshit...then analyze your own tears and figure out what adjustments you should make. Over 900 views...clearly I'm not the only one laughing at your pathetic ass.... You do provide entertainment, I'll give you that... You make all of us feel better about ourselves seeing what a dipshit you are.... Hat's off to ya bro!!!
  18. Dumb question, but are you tightening them too much, or...is your chain to sloppy? Either that, or you're a hullva crazy jumper!!!
  19. Careful John, Keyboard tough guy might make it to NJ after his visit to MI. :shoothead:
  20. 12 mile and Harper, St. Clair Shores Michigan. 48082 Big Silver Dodge Ram, with dajogejr in the back window so there is no mistakin'. Please tell mommy and daddy I won't be changing your shitty diaper.
  21. I have a spare CDI off my old 96 motor that I know works, I bought a Dyna so it sits in my tool box. I know the harness ends aren't the same, but...if you pay for shipping and promise to reconnect the wires after splicing them, you can use it to test if no one else can help you out.... PM me if you'd like me to ship it to you, prolly cost 5 to 8 bucks via Fed Ex.....
  22. Don't know if this helps you boys or not, but Magic Racing (as I'm sure other sell, as well) have a UPP slider pack. It included the top and bottom rollers, a slider from the front of the swingarm and a chain stay (rear of the arm, near the sprocket). Comes in pretty colors.... And here it is: http://www.magicracing.com/UPP-Chain-Slide...p_748-1058.html
  23. Do you have the crank welded? Good idea if not once you start raising the compression. I think a +4 to +6 timing advance will be noticeable....it might sacrifice a tad on top, but...doubt you'd even notice it. Timing and compression advances pickup the lack of bottom and mid a non-powervalved motor like the OEM banshee cylinders have (or don't have). Careful...though. You're at an area where more timing could increase the need for more octane, more than a 50/50 mix. Not saying it will...just be careful, listen to your engine and read your plugs often....
  24. Nope. I use a thin coat of high temp RTV on just about everything. Cool Head Orings, intake gaskets, base gaskets....
  25. Careful, Kai....you might get grouped in with the rest of the Internet no skills/wannabes. OJ.... A race says you'd have a chance in hell....race is the wrong term. You better bring a lot of lunch money and saved up allowances if you want to step up to the big leagues...you don't even have a fast enough bike to qualify as my pit bike.... Your world includes...you and....well, just you at this point. So, you go and be all you can be...for yourself. I'll spank your little bike with my 10 mil on the strip, then blow by you in the trail on my little bitty 400EX....all the while you'll be mumbling "I can tune a mustang on a dyno, I am a smart guy, really...I am"... Group of 10 to 20 of us will be in Silver Lake Sand Dunes third or fourth weekend in april. Bring it. Otherwise, I'll be at Clarksville 300 ft sand drags all year....every other weekend when they're open....
