  1. Dammit...I wish I had cash laying around. Got a 400EX that would suit her good. Fresh rebuild, full pipe and muffler, spark arrested. Works triple rates up front, fresh axle bearings...damn it... I'd love to have that shee as my play/trail bike.... Oh well.... Good luck again!!!
  2. Yep....sure is. You get used to it, it's no big deal.... Honestly, on gas...just pull the chokes, start it...wrap the thottle a little for 30 to 40 seconds, and normaly you can shut the chokes off then. Properly tuned banshees should start in 1 to 3 kicks....
  3. The screws that hold down the pickup are small. They must be used to adjust the air gap for the flywheel... I've found that if you actually use the correct size screwdriver, you'll have no problems.... The right tool for the right job, imagine that....
  4. Two guys in MI that I would let work on my cylinder. Dan Hull @ A&S Racing builds some of the fastest bikes in the country. However, he's busy...isn't too great about returning email, phone calls, etc. However, you show up at his shop in person with cash in hand, he's a pretty good guy. BansheeDan lives near there, and got a real good port job for a good price from Dan. The other is Bob @ R&B Racing. Helluva nice guy, I've seen some of his porting...and his price is excellent. Normally, I'd say you get what you pay for. In his case...I'd say you get a helluva lot more!!! 517-388-3662 is Bob @ R&B Racing. Grand River Racing (Andy) no longer does work for people, he only does a little work for a select chosen few. RDZ racing (Rob) builds very, very fast bikes. However, his customer service sucks in my opinion, unless you're spending thousands and thousands with him. Based on that...I wouldn't let him port my chain saw or weed eater. Rob builds fast shit, his customer service is terrible for the average joe....and this is from my own personal experience, or lack thereof. He missed out on selling me a 4 mil cub complete, crank, pistons, cylinders, clutch...chain...etc. And he's since missed out on selling me pipes and a chain tensioner. If he's too busy to pickup the phone and return a phone call before the sale, how good do you think he's gonna take care of you after the sale. (For that matter...he's never returned any of my 3 phone calls or 2 PMs to him)
  5. TWO top ones?? What am I missing... As said, one on top, one on bottom....and the slider on the front of the arm. The bottom one froze up and chunked away in pieces...I see it all the time.
  6. I will definately agree PC are a better pipe to putt around in.... The T5s have a real hit to them, that's for sure.... However, once I advanced my timing to 4 degrees and lightened my flywheel, they really...really smoothed out. Even my die hard 4 stroke buddies were impressed how it changed the bike. It's not real fair to judge one bike next to the other, and the reason being is simple....no two bikes run alike. The PC bike could've just been a better running bike... Now...if you would've went from PC to T5 on the same bike, adjusted the jetting accordingly (if needed) and dyno'd then ran it against a "benchmark" bike ...well, you get the idea. The only reason I say that...nunya...is because I've ridden a PC and a Bills equipped buddies banshee. Maybe I was partial to my bike, but neither seemed to pull or rev as far as mine did....and we all had, at that time, pipes and air filters.... Of course...like I said, no two bikes run the same....so, that shoots a big old hole in my speech...LOL....

I think 10 because of your weight. Dan's bike hooked up nice and rode great with him on it at a similar paddle.... Up to you on the 8 or 10 inch rim...
  8. Geckos are the absolute bargain basement, biggest waste of a paddle they make. Even if it is only 2 trips a year. There are much better paddles for not much more. Honestly, look on the for sale forums, pickup a 8 paddle hauler...you'll be fine.

I'd get the porting first, then decide if you can keep the front end down...a 1 inch shorter swinger will give you better MX track manners...can't say too many duners shorten up, they pretty much all extend... If you're not into drag racing, 10 inch rims are fine.

Call Jon Sefarian @ Sand Toyz Unlimited. He was the only one around that had them...EVERYONE is waiting on them. Jim @ Jim's Sand Toys is probably gonna get them next. http://www.sandtoyzunlimited.com/ http://www.jimssandtoys.com/
  12. Awesome...congrats on the win. Nothing wrong with a little cash to pay for the riding...that's fo sho!! Now you're hooked....soon, it'll be bigger motor, spray...LOL... gotta love the addiction, though....
  13. Tried to reply earlier...Trav. My buddy jankab has a cable and CD. I was thinking of going in on halvsies with my buddy...has a Dyna on his Honda. You could really benefit from the programming due to what's coming in the mail for you. I know they make a clutch activator switch that can be used with the Dyna.....
  14. screw that....I'd have called the cops. They have to have some kind of mailing address...etc. Hell...look 'em up now. Zabbasearch.com
  15. YFZ quite possibly....what do you have, Steve?
  16. I'd disagree....to the point the T5s make more power in the upper RPMs...but totally agree PC's make more power in lower RPMs. I'd also say the T5s rev out further....
  17. I meant the carb bell to air box, not the intake boots. I know you can stretch the intake boots to 28... What about the airbox boots??
  18. Hell yes...Gonna get me some smack, some lines...and get my swerve on.... LOL J/K... Thanks Steve!!!
  19. I hope you're saving a LOT of pennies. 100HP does nothing if you can't get it to the ground. Are you prepared for a lockup clutch, override tranny, longer swinger, stiffer rear shock...tires, etc. to get that thing to move??
  20. I might want that crank, Steve....
  21. Sorry guys...I'm from MI. It just clicked that the season is over for now @ Glamis....due to heat. I was like WTF are you guys talking about...season is just starting over here. Then I remember we've got snow....sooner or later.... :shoothead:
  22. That's no fair, then Travis won't have to drive far.... I'd be stuck in Graceland....LOL. Any big trips for this year is out....Silver Lake dunes (about 4.5 hours) is enough for me this year. Being single with two dogs is tough, they're kinda like kids...gotta make arrangements for everything. Hopefully by this time next year, I'm living with my girl...and she loves my dogs. Built in babysitter (hope she doesn't read this forum...LOL) I'm all for a long road trip, just not this year.... My buddies, JT (badassbanshee479) just had a baby, and Bob (he's a 4 stroker, but...we still put up with him) just got into a new house....so, the road crew is gonna keep it local. Hell, I'd rather drive down to have a few sodas with you boys more than anything....
  23. I PM'd him that as well, travis....he never got back to me. I know you can buy a cable and CD new for 100...but, always looking to save a few $$...
  24. You little bastard...you're gonna bottle feed that baby, I forgot.... That's awesome!!! I still can't believe that thing is 4.2's on gas...with a fellow big boy on it...sheesh. Before you give it the hose, I'd remove every other weight just for the sheer hell of it, see what it does.... I agree you're gonna need 'em once you "laugh it up" on that beast.... I'd love to see a 3.999 on that baby!!!
