  1. Ok...so my first question about this clutch, then... ON the standard arm type lockup, you can change and/or remove weights to fine tune it. How would this clutch be fine tuned? Different weighted ball bearings. I'm assuming you can't remove them...or can you?
  2. Sorry...would you like us to turn this thread into running down city streets from the police, maybe turn it into carrying a few Uzi's and AKs and run some drugs? Oh wait...you got that one covered already
  3. Nice....the hot dripping wax might heighten my reflexes... LOL>...
  4. Bright ass shift light....LOL...
  5. 15 to 20 minutes.... I have 2 or 3 gallons left over from our trip in April, but it's mixed 28:1 with Benoil. If you want that...you can have it...free. If you want the VP stuff, it's pricey....but I can pick you up a can..no prob.
  6. Maybe I'm missing something...but the standard one updates every 2.5 seconds. The commercial updates every 1/2 second... I don't think either will work..... Am I way off here Mark?
  7. I know you don't need tires, but a guy in Midland is selling 4 gold factory rims wrapped in Razr 2's in great shape, 200.... He's parting the bike out in the for sale forum, YFZ450 is his name.
  8. Nice research...LIM.... I was pretty sure that both two stroke and thumper Dyna's had a tach output.
  9. I ran mine same way all last year JT...there, not plugged in. At WMSD on Memorial Weekend...evan just said hook one wire to the black/white striped wire and one to a chassis ground. 5 minutes, done deal. I thought tech inspection was gonna be a lot tougher at WMSD....they didn't check anything for the T&T memorial weekend.
  10. I've actually been thinking of hooking up a tach too...I think It can be wired directly into my Dyna. If you bracket race...consistency is more important than overall speed....
  11. I know they don't check, or didn't last year...to see if the tether works. JT...they may check for an actual race. Not sure though...
  12. True enough...but the problem is, on a gurney or on a slab, it's still a statistic not in our favor for those that like to ride.....
  13. Sorry...not all of us have. And...I never built a 160HP bike just to be able to outrun from them, then brag about it on here.....
  14. That's the same thing I said a long time ago... I fail to see how a stock cylinder, even on a drag port...would need jets bigger than a triple port on a cub... And, just like a cub...why are you running T5 pipes and stock carbs on a drag ported cylinder? 410 mains at 3000 feet, something else is seriously wrong.....fix that first.
  15. Yep...thanks dickhead for ruining it for those of us who obey the law and still find someway to have fun. You ever stop to think it's jack asses like you running from the cops and bragging about it on here is the reason you get riding areas shut down in the first place? I know you think you're only effecting your little small corner...you're not. You're effecting us all...
  16. That may be true, but a far cry from being "asshole curious" as in your other thread... :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: :whistling:
  17. Dude...it takes 10 minutes to cut and tape the wires, and they're 20 bucks or so....c'mon now.
  18. I made this mistake a long time ago... Here's a better way to think about it...if you're a sports fan. Denver, mile high stadium. Football. Athletes from out of town get winded a little easier because the air does not have as much oxygen and is thinner. Your motor breathes just like you do... If there is not as much air to breath, you don't have to give it as much fuel to match... Hope that puts it into better terms for you....
  19. That's it... They'll give you a paper plate with a number and tape if you'd like....
  20. Probably 2 to 4 jet sizes down (taking into consideration temp and altitude changes, if there are any) Probably have to lean out the air screw 1/2 to 1 turn. May or may not have to lean the needle one clip....
  21. I think you need a compression tester first. Then...answer the rest of the questions... 1. Do you have the timing advanced? 2. What elevation and temps do you ride at? 3. Are you holding it open for a long time in 6th gear (Wide Open Throttle, or WOT for short)? All of these play a part. Your jetting and octane could be fine...however, if you're holding it WOT for a long period of time, it could be running the float bowls dry, which will lean it out...and cause detonation (and the plugs to back out) Several factors contribute to plugs backing out from detonation. You'll need to answer ALL of the questions, as well as get a GOOD compression tester with the same reach as the spark plug (threaded end that goes into the cylinder) Also...you MUST do the compression test correctly. Warm the bike up, remove both plugs. (Make sure the ignition is turned off) Thread the compression tester in, hold the throttle wide open...and keep kicking. Not 1 kick, or 5 kicks, or 10 kicks. Keep kicking until the gauge no longer goes up. Often, this can take 15 kicks, 20 kicks or more. The first two or three kicks the gauge will jump pretty good. Then, it'll barely go up a few PSI at a time. It is CRITICAL you keep kicking until that needle doesn't move at all anymore. I'm basically getting at don't just "kick it 10 or 15 times" and call it good. Keep on kicking until it doesn't move on the gauge, however many kicks that takes. Then, repeat for the other side.
  22. You can make the stockers run damn well...but, in all honesty, it's cheaper and easier to get HP out of that Cheetah. That would be my choice as well... On top of bigger carbs, you're gonna want better pipes as well...
  23. If that was the highest elevation...you will need to richen it up depending on how much lower elevation you will be riding at.
  24. That's all fine, you're missing the point. You need to check compression first before you go any further. Regardless of what you plan to do on the carb setup... And 38mm single carb is too big for your motor....with a mild port. Check the compression first...using a quality gauge.
  25. Think or know? At this point, you must get a quality compression tester and get cranking PSI... If you're lean...it will really show in 6th... Are you holding it WOT for a long period of time in 6th gear? You could be running the carbs out of fuel, as well... It shouldn't back out plugs, regardless....in any gear. it's either timing, jetting, compression...or the wrong octane..or a combo of any of those.
