I would get cardboard boxes, break them down...and cover the frame in them. Then shrink wrap over it.... I know Greyhound will do it to, usually 75 to 90 bucks or so. Make sure you double cover any jagged or sticking out edges with the cardboard good, like the tail section, headlight mounts, etc....

That's a steal, Jeffro... I will post up for you on PS if they ever come back up.

Yep... My Holeshot XCRs are shaved down, and my friend put picks all the way across on the rows of three. If he would've put them in between on the rows of 2, I think my tires would be damn near perfect... 1996...where'd you get chisels? JT...didn't you say you found a deal? Oh well, never mind, I got one more ice race this weekend then it's tear down anywho. JT...I'll be at the bay...c'mon out if ya want!

ON Marvins you use PSI to stiffen or soften them. Not on stockers... Get a stiffer spring and change your valving if you're going to run a longer swinger... Put the Nitrogen PSI where it's supposed to be at from the factory (I'm not sure on that number) I run 1500 PSI in my Marvin, but I sure wouldn't recommend that to someone with a stock style or even YFZ style shock...

Two Sets of Tie Rods and Billet Foot Pegs
dajogejr replied to FireHead's topic in Online Auction Watch
Man, dem pegs is nice... Good luck homie...wish I had extra bling cheddar... -
Exactly...if you have one done by Joe Bob's tire/rubber and cosmetics store, I wouldn't trust it. A competent source, no issues. I ran my Neutral down 1-5 dunable all last year, no issues. I know SEVERAL people personally that have had no issues...either. You basically upshift UNDER FULL THROTTLE WITH NO CLUTCH. Dunable allow you to backload the trans (although doing this for periods of time over 8K motor RPM is not advised..) and you can downshift like a normal tranny.

Start with about 70 to 80 per tire or so. You want to make sure they picks are out of align so that when they hit the ice, they're not digging at the same patch, if that makes sense.... Off set one in front of the other by a solid 1/4 to 1/2 inch... I only have 48 picks (sharp) per rear tire, but I have 14 over on my 10 mil, you see how bad it fries those tires till third gear...

I think your bitches are SMOKING HOT...LOL... Depends on who they put him up against... I mean if they pull the 70 year old Iron Sheik out of retirement....ok, I'll put money on Kimbo....LOL. I'd put money on Lesnar now, and in the near future... Other than that, it depends. As much as I hate him, I think Tim Sylvia would easily destroy him, Mir would, and a LOT of other top Heavyweights would...

Triple DS.... His own brother Jonathon told me he went to Jail, and Shane himself confirmed it with me when he got out.... Now, if this over a different time, I don't know... But he's got some people that are NOT happy whatsoever, he needs to make right by them. I always thought he was a good guy, too... Very slow to ship, one horse town...and he told me he shipped my pipes a few times when he didn't...but I eventually got them. They turned out to be the wrong flange...but, not his fault...and he did try to help me to make it right. I was lucky enough to sell them to a local friend for the same $$ I had into them, so it was easier... But he's got a couple people saying the same story...said he shipped stuff, then he vanished....poof.

I would PM Dave Noss...see if he can help. I agree...someone tried to put "other" domes in there and ground that down to makeshift it...
-
I'm not saying Kimbo doesn't have raw power, or even potential...but as it stands right now, Lesnar would whip Kimbo. Give him more training....then it'd be a different fight, but he simply doesn't have the cardio or other skills yet....YET. I think Lesnar and Kimbo would be a HUGE media success...though, any way you "slice" it.... Ellison, those two fight, we'll come up with a friendly wager...sound good?

You're not running big bore domes. Hard to say by that pictures, but I think you'll be fine.
-
Thanks for the correction, Rob... I'm pretty sure I stated the prices before you lowered them. I'm not sure how many HQ folks will be hitting Gilbert...but I think it'd be wise of you to post something about your offer to refund the purchase price of big bore pipes if someone wins a race using your pipes. I thought I read something about a few bucks if the take second as well.... I have to be honest, that is pretty damn good PR and damn fine of you to offer up some contingency money like that....

Nice looking ride...but if I remember, that's a BIG twister motor, like 18 or 20 mil or something, on that short of an arm...that thing has got to damn near snap that wheelie bar on every run. I can't imaging how hard it hits.....
-
You'll get about a 7% increase in torque and hp IF you match the cylinders to accomodate a longer stroke. Do not go 60 over unless the motor is worn and needs to be bored to be back in spec, otherwise, you're wasting two bores...they make .050 pistons.

We used to get Titles with our bikes, you paid to transfer/buy them...etc. Just like a car, but it plainly said on the title Not for highway USE, ORV. They never check for that... What they do check for is ORV stickers. It was 16.25 last year, good for a year. Not sure if they raised it or not. Any marked ORV trail you have to have spark arrestors, too... Ridiculous... Also...some parts make you test decibel limits. They didn't at the dunes all last year...but other parks they do.

I know this isn't apples to apples, but... My buddy had reed spacers on his 72mm super cub 10 mil, he took them off and gained a hair more power and response. Now...I know how different the Cheetah intake is from the cub/super cub...but I thought I'd share that with you....

PJ1 makes a high temp exhaust paint in a can. I don't think it matters what kind of paint you buy, sooner or later, down by the cylinders, it's gonna need to be redone. You could probably get it to last a year or so...depending on how much you ride, but...it's just not going to be as durable as a ceramic coat, chrome...etc.

I'd be weary about buying parts from someone that sells women's gloves and Mary Kay cosmetics, too...

I agree with MJ... He's a brawler, that's it. In the video that Wallace posted, if that was UFC, the white guy would've choked him out and it would've been over with.... Anyone with ANY kind of boxing skills and ground game is going to destroy Kimbo. I'm not saying he can't be a good fighter once day...but Tank Abbot? C'mon.... Rocky Balboa at 50 years of age would've been a better fight...YO ADRIAN.. I'll tell you what would draw a BIG media frenzy... Brock Lesnar vs. Kimbo. Famous wrestler vs. Internet/boatyard legend... I would put my money on Brock. Even though Mir submitted him, he was a world class college wrestler, on the ground, Kimbo doesn't stand a chance.... Not to mention, ANY fight I've watched of Kimbo...he's gassed after a couple of minutes of the heavy hands. UFC is three 5 minute rounds for a regular fight. He does not have 10% the conditioning of most of the UFC fighters...just about any heavyweight would beat his ass....

See...that's funny.... If you were to ask anyone on the forums, myself included...I would tell you no way in hell would CPIs give you more bottom and mid than a T5. If anything, they'd give you more mid and top....at the expense of mid...which, the T5s don't have a lot of. That just goes to show you...you never, ever know till you try. Good for you CSR to actually try something without listening to all the other keyboard experts.... It's been my goal over the past 8 months or so to keep an open mind...and believe in stuff until it's proven wrong, unless the reported facts are WAY overboard.... You know the ones...like my piped 400EX smoked my buddy's 4 mil cub banshee... That kinda stuff. However, I found this...and it kinda made me do a double take, unless this comment was meant as being sarcastic (I sure hope so....) "toomeys quit making good power at about 9100 rpm. thats about the rpm at which cpi's start making power." If that was the case, they'd probably make power for about....1000 RPM at most, contrary to what you're saying here. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=90607

Conventional wisdom tells me the same, but he's actually running it..and the only person I know of running it in a two stroke...banshee nonetheless. So..I'd like his first hand experience from it...and what adjustments he's made..

I think they're BOSS knockoffs, not sure. I got them from MajicMike when he was still in business. Crossover built in... If you need intakes, PM me..

It was DEFINITELY THE SPARK PLUGS
dajogejr replied to Skip2 MyLou's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Honestly...if you pulled the spark plugs, knew they were bad...why didn't you just spend 4 bucks and buy two new ones? Mixture is irrelevant...4 oz per gallon I think is 32:1..should be fine. I'd suspect rich jetting if anything... I'd have a problem paying 159 for them to replace spark plugs. But...that's not a warranty item, it's a wear item... I'd bite the bullet, pay for one hour shop labor time...and call it a day. next time, buy a pair of spark plugs and call it a day.... You knew the plugs were bad and needed to be replaced before you brought it in for service, right? I'd charge you the shop minimum for labor, often 1/2 or 1 hour, and tell you to come pick up your bike once the bill is paid if I ran that shop... -
I haven't had any problems with my RS timing plate per say, I'm on my second stator from them..and I keep an OEM spare handy at all times... I love the look of my Chariot Head, and I can tell you the chrome version is well worth the few extra bucks. I've always liked the look of the Cheetah Cylinder heads...flat, but the middle rises up, these remind me of them. Here's some pics...(it's COLD here...sorry for the finger prints...etc. Hard to wipe the chrome down when it's 15 degrees out...)
