I've found a happy medium. I look forward to getting my shit in the mail....but don't go run out to the garage to put it on. However.... I don't wait till the last day, either. Nothing I hate worse than last minute shit, last day... Then again, I haven't done shit to my bike (other than plastic/seat) in a long time (I did put a new axle and carrier on, however)...so, my pre race routine is draining the carbs and changing the plug....LOL...

Last thing we need is all that drama over here. Those guys are a joke, it looks like they made their site on an etch a sketch....F them. Period.

Uh oh.... The midget didn't try and play "tummy sticks" with you late at night, did he?? LOL.

I understand you're trying to do this cheaply....if you're going to stick to trail/mx style riding, I agree...get the cylinders ported for the extra stroke. If you're going for more dune/drag power, use the spacer plate. So...add into your equation more porting and cut heads/domes for the stroker.... Nothing is EVER drop in...

As long as you are using the case split mark as a timing reference....yes, set it at +4 and run it. Night and day difference...

left cylinder low compression, building press in trans?
dajogejr replied to KA Phil's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Low compression in the cylinders will NOT cause it to spit tranny fluid out the overflow. Three things will. Overfull, vent plugged, or bad crank seal. Check compression, do a leak down test... Use a QUALITY compression tester. -
What kind of compression gauge, and more importantly....what is your elevation at?

I just got off the phone with brother newtz... Did any of you happen to catch the moped racing at their camp??

You're right....if he was anything like U of M, he'd be the winningist athlete in history....and wouldn't have had a below .500 season in over 30 years... If he was that good....he might be worth the paper those tickets are printed on....

Shamrock wins...you won't hear about Kimbo Slice for a long time....or he'll load YouTube up with a bunch more shit...
-
He said 150HP at the crank....(PTO)....a 10 mil twister big block done up correctly will do that all day.... Probably puts 120 to 125 to the rear wheels....

I am with you 100%. I ride my own quad, ALL of the racing we do is bracket racing...and I cut pretty good lights and am pretty consistent. The only race of the year that is heads up is Gilbert, Planet Sand...and AVI in a few months. I couldn't make the trip to Gilbert, I sent my bike down just for a buddy to ride and enjoy the trip. The fact our friend Frank got 2nd in a BIG class...well, luck and Frank's skill had a lot to do with that. I'll let just about anybody ride my bike, most of our riding is test and tune... I like to see what my bike can do with a lighter rider. But I ride it in the classes....I built it, I ride it. I'll let others ride it in a faster class (cause I can't turn the times with my big ass) but any class that is index or bracket which I have the ability to ride in...I will ride it...

Unfortunately....they are a great team. I try to give credit where credit is due....and Tressel has U of M's number...no doubt. However....I still F'in hate them. So be it....LOL.

I am as die hard a Michigan Wolverine fan as any....but they were 100% lucky to even be in that game. With all the penalties Utah had, they could've easily been 20 points down... I can tell you this....I am glad to see a departure from the run, run, run, run, run offense. I like the spread offense. Give Rich Rodriguez a few years to get HIS recruitment in the offense, I think it's gonna roll. But at this point, and I know it's early in the season...I think Michigan is going to be a .500 team....depending on the strength of the Big 10. First Saturday of college football was as expected. A couple of losses that were somewhat surprising, but most of the upper ranked teams smoked their "tune up" opponents... I'm just so glad college football is back!!! GO BLUE!!

Yep....weight is key. It is painfully obvious to me when I watch someone 100 to 125 lbs lighter than me take the bike down the track.... I run very consistent on my bike...but nothing earth shattering on times. I put a lighter rider on there....it's like adding a BIG Shot of NOS. The lighter riders consistently turn 2 to 3 tenths faster....higher MPH...whole 9 yards. Weight on the dunes doesn't make as big of a difference, but in organized racing, no one weighing 250lbs is turning the same numbers as a 125 lb jockey...guaranteed....

I don't know what's worse... The fact you had to ask...or the fact you thought you would be an option....

His fights have been the equivalent of the Dolphins picking on the boy scouts.... Ok...maybe the brownies....and they still have a chance....

Wow...talk about desperation for both fighters and Elite XC. This is a TV marketing campaign at it's best. Shamrock is Way, WAY past his prime at 44....Slice is still a nobody with a name for himself from YouTube. Neither man has anything at all to gain from this fight other than a paycheck. Slice wins....he beat up on a man that has 2 wins in the last 10 years....and has lost his last 5 in a row. Shamrock wins, he just proved what everyone else already knows....Slice is not yet a well rounded enough fighter to be in any of the big leagues of MMA fighting, just a thug with a heavy hand and as of yet...NO Stamina.... What do you guys think?? http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/26396202/

Fair enough....they don't "crate them" like we do... But...it's heavy, you pay for that. Extra shipping from weight is better than broken motors from shipping....insured or not...
-
Well put...Travis. And to add to that.... Any motor is only as good as the components and setup surrounding it. Simply put...you can make all the horsepower in the world, but without getting that from the motor to the rear wheels and hooking up efficiently, it's wasted time and money... And, when you start putting a fair amount of power through the motor, things must be "beefed" up to handle it as well. Motor and Chassis-wise. Such as, but not limited to: Clutch, transmission, swingarm length, rear shock, gearing, tires, etc.

Other than that fact he posts pics of nude girls, himself, is a charter member of the Michael Jackson pre-teen let's share a dream club, and is the only member who has more posts than I do.... He's aiight....

Interesting on the wooden crate, Kevin...hmm...

To be 100% honest, 4 to 10 mil cub or super cub are all VERY Close. Setup is key... I had a 4 mil on gas, it was a great bike. I never put a lockup, override or alky on it. I wish I would've...but, I'm a big guy...and I built my 10 mil motor for very, very little out of pocket. It was an easy choice for me. The super cubs run well, they require more porting to work well...and the cases have to be bored for the 72mm piston. You're going to have to decide if you want to sell your crank, buy a new one and trench cases or keep the crank, bore cases and get a new head. Everything else is bolt on... If you weren't in Quebec, I could get you good pricing on all the parts. I have to be honest, I won't ship International. 4 mil super and 10 mil cub are very close...I'm biased towards the 10 mil because mine runs very well for me.
