  1. Ok...you don't know shit about hill climbing... LOL... (Hey...you asked for it...)
  2. Havoc Crew...I got a Generator for you. Brand new, about the size of a 5 gallon gas can, maybe a hair bigger. It's a 2 stroke (YEE HAW...no methanol, please...lol) Neighbor borrowed it to me, brand new. Quieter than a lawnmower.... Yours to use.
  3. Depends...how much money ya got? LOL.... J/K. Hell yes. If Roger doesn't rope off an area...as soon as He and I get there early Friday AM, I'll rope off some area.... I'll either get crime scene caution tape...lol, or put up some cones, etc... NO worries.!!!!
  4. Take carbs and cool head out of that equation. Insert porting... On your stock head and stock carbs, porting will get you more power than the head and bigger carbs.
  5. Oh boy, not even gonna get started... A cheetah with PV would be a better choice than a cub, but....a stock ported cylinder is still the best choice. I can assure you, Cheetahs with PVs were designed more for wide open duners than trail riders....and for that, yes...great choice. Wide Open, Wide Open throttle trails....cubs are fine.... I too would like to see a Dyno chart of this port work on cubs. A cub motor with a more linear curve will be not only more usable all over, but faster at the track.... More torque/HP and less RPM will pull more gear and get you down the strip faster...
  6. I just talked to Rich, he said no problem roping off an area for our group to park, party...etc. People are already doing it. I called and left Roger a message, since he's 5 minutes away...if he can do it, no prob...otherwise, I'll be there EARLY Friday AM...and will do it then.... Be nice to pit by each other for a common party place. Plus...in a dark, drunken stumble/crawl, 10 to 20 vehicles would be easier to find...LOL.
  7. How many threads are you going to start about this? http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...mp;#entry868258
  8. And HOW MUCH $$ do you have to spend... All around good pipes are T5s, T6s (don't listen to the mod argument, basic mods and mild porting work just fine on them, T5's are just older, and cheaper to buy), Trinity IV and FMF. How do you ride, where do you ride, and how much you got to spend? That is the question. Unless you plan on going full on out drag racing, most pipes have different characteristics to suite your riding style. Aside from pipes and motor work, the proper suspension and tire/gearing combo is every bit as important, if not more so.
  9. I have the slingshot that fits under a modified (extended) cover. It works.
  10. I've got Jeff from FAST's EZ Pull perch, the lever has a ball bearing pivot, not just a sleeve. With that lever, bearing and a new cable, I have 6 HD springs in mine and it still pulls like a 125cc new dirt bike....
  11. Change your gearing and air pressure if you have to clutch it that much....
  12. Pipes and timing? Stock springs, you'll be fine.
  13. Loud? You ever hear JT and Brent once they get drinking? Hell...they'll drown out open stinger drag bikes??? LOL... Don't worry about the generator... I'll give Rich a call later today or tomorrow. I know he was at Silver Lake this last weekend...won king of the hill...
  14. If you want, I can call Rich... Have him set aside about 20 sites. Or...I'll just find out where Shelby Boys and Hopper and crew will be, if they already have an area set aside... To be honest, I'll be there first thing Friday AM...maybe even like 8AM or so... I'm bringing a tent and air mattress, but might have to sleep in the truck and put the heated seats on...LOL... I'm going to pick up one of those lantern/air pumps as well to have at camp. I may pick up an air horn or two...first one to pass out (standing or not...JT...lol) might get the wakeup call....
  15. The arm should NOT line up without any tension on it. You should push the arm with your finger, and feel the resistance once they are lined up. If they are lined up without tension, it will not disengage properly...
  16. No one with a drag bike runs an airbox. drag bikes don't go in the mud, water, etc. Most of the people I know don't even oil the air filters....
  17. Dan Hull @ A&S: http://www.bansheeracing.com/ Rob Earl @ RDZ: http://www.rdzracing.com/Main/main.htm Bob @ RB Porting: http://groups.msn.com/RBRacingTwoStrokePorting These are all Michigan guys, all within an hour of Lansing area...
  18. That is a great tool and well worth the price. Start by using it to set idle, then open them up about a 1/4 of the way and check again. Counting turns on adjustment screws is nothing compared to using this tool. It works...For drag racers or Joe Trail Rider.... I used my eyes too, and will sit there for 1/2 hour triple checking it.. But why? This takes that guestimate out of it.
  19. Good luck from a fellow Michigan guy and Metro Detroiter... Part it out, only way it's gonna sell. Only things that are selling are 15K drag bikes for 4 K....damn shame, economy, etc. Good luck to ya John!
  20. I do... Will PM you.
  21. Jeff... I'll be in Grand Rapids that Thursday night, dropping off my bike at Rogers...staying at a hotel for work. Work is paying for my gas there and back... Is there anything I can do to help get you guys to the track? Tow a trailer, etc? Won't be the same without the Havoc guys and that Lindsay chic... Remember, camping is 100% free... Let me know if I can help...spare parts, tuning, etc., whatever... Keep in mind, Friday is T&T all day for 30 bucks... Worse comes to worse, T&T with us, party...crash...head home Saturday... Whatever you guys need...let me know if I can help. I can't wait for the race...tick tock tick tock..I'll be a like a little kid before Christmas that Thursday night, guaranteed...
  22. Is it possible you're blowing the tires off so bad, by the time you click 6th they're finally catching up??
  23. My bike is at my buddies house, I haven't gotten it back from Labor Day... My buddy needs a rear master. Told him he could have mine once I put the polished bad lad on.... They actually broke the wheelie bar mounting point where it bolts to the rear shock...so, gotta get that tab welded back on...too.
  24. In my opinion, a 4 mil cub is the best bang for the buck, best starter motor...and with proper setup...they can be made to absolutely rip...and keep up with and sometimes beat bigger motors. They are a drop in and rip motor...period. You're a light guy, that motor will pull you around no problem. What is going to kill you is the chassis and suspension. You want a light strong bike....if you're going to dune it...cut the unnecessary brackets and mounting points off the frame, but leave it as is.. If you're going to drag it more, lighten that bitch up. Shocks, A Arms, lightened steering stem...all that kinda stuff adds up. What do you have to work with already, motor and suspension wise? I could set you up pretty good on a motor deal, spark plug to drain plug....
  25. YOUCH... That's F'd up. Sorry about your wreck, at least you're in good spirits...get well soon. These bikes are way to fast with too much power to take for granted...just goes to show you, easy to get over your head ...and aside from that, accidents happen... Get well!!
