I surely hope that you can come up with a better excuse for them than that....truly. Before 370 (chris) started porting....you hit the nail on the head right there. In other words, before he realized he could make a few bucks on his own....and that is why there is a debate about if moderators should be able to sell services on E2S. By his own admission, he's had a LOT of banshees, last I checked, like 4 in his signature... He's also had motor(s) done by Passion... So...now you're saying Chris doesn't know what good work is? After all those banshees AND having a Passion motor..I think you better get a better excuse.

Speedy...READ THE POSTS I POSTED. If his work is SO Bad...why did 3 of the accusers (370, his girlfriend 369dunebunny AND Banshee Balla ALL SAY HIS WORK IS THE SHIT, DENNY FOR President) So...like I said, are they lying now...or back then? Which is it?
-
Balla...that was pretty nice of you to bring that over here. You must be one of those "kids". A drag bike that you can ride anywhere on pump gas? Yeah, I don't think so.... Would you take a top fuel dragster to the grocery store? You think a banshee is any different cause it has 4 wheels and started off as a trail/open class ATV?? Well...either the people that are making this big fuss were either lying then, or they're lying now. Why don't all you read up and make the choice for yourself... http://forums.everything2stroke.com/honda-...k-port-job.html http://forums.everything2stroke.com/blaste...40-porting.html http://forums.everything2stroke.com/lt250-...ere-lt250r.html Oh...and here is the absolute classic...since you might be able to delete those threads on E2S...I can assure you they won't get deleted here: Here you go ladies and gents....right from the horses mouth: http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...c=79075&hl= And now you know why I quit the site....and I printed the threads from E2S just in case they happen to "disappear". If they somehow leave, PM me and I'll be happy to fax a copy of them all to you....

Does it idle? I've got some tic tacs that fell behind the couch cushions and some Dollar Menu Coupons I got in the mail from McDonalds for trade.... If it idles...I'll throw in a half empty roll of TUMS, special edition, low miles.

According to WCR's site, no 6th gear on the dunables with 5th being cut. They'll do 1-4 manual 5th and 6th... Greg was on PS talking about the 1-6 dunable...but last I read, he's still working the kinks out.
-
Unless you want to make it a strict drag bike, leave it as is...and get some CPI inframe pipes for it. Overrides can be cut to just about any combo. Nuetral down, nuetral in the middle...but you want a dunable if you go override. And with a dunable....you can't have 6th gear yet... I know WCR is working on a dunable 1-6...but, last I heard and read, it's not quite ready yet. 1-5 dunable would be my choice, it's what I run in my drag bike, but I use Nuetral down....just my personal preference.
-
To add to what is said above, it has a lockout cover, does it have a lockout clutch installed (Glass is hazy, can't see) If it has a lockout and the tranny is not cut for override, good luck shifting that motor. As is, tuned...that bike should be putting out mid 80s to low 90s HP. A dunable override is BEGGING to go in that bike. CPIs and Shearers are probably the most common pipes for Cubs...they work.... But if that's a trail bike, it'll be more than a handful...which, by the looks of it...it's not a drag bike.... I bet it's fun to ride in the dunes and is a nice, comfy bike.

There are a lot of things you can do....up to and including after market cylinders and bigger cranks. two things stand in your way. 1. Budget 2. Type of riding and where. Once you figure those out, you can do pretty much anything. The guy you took it to...you don't know how much he knows about banshee engines...and likes to work on anything but a car engine? That's not who I'd want touching my cylinders. Tell him to stick to lawn mowers...unless you're going to test his work and don't mind possibly ruining a set of cylinders. It's not real easy to get good power of them. It's very easy to ruin them.
-
Word to what RZ said. You guys are thinking of cub or after market drag cylinders...they are a lightswitch. A 4 mil stock cylinder done right is a GREAT all around motor...
-
RTV...any kind. Make sure when you screw the plugs in, they're just past flush with the base.

cheeta cub cylinders w/ new pistons cheap

The funny thing is he keeps saying my conservative estimate for plating like I haven't had to have it done, like I don't know what it cost.... Where do you get 1025 for a new setup for? Who sells new pistons for 150? What about shipping? Based on your sharp estimates, new cubs probably cost 1200 and pistons are 400. -

The only thing you've proven is you don't know what you're talking about, don't know pricing for anything, and that you're willing to type just for the sake of typing. Has anyone else here agreed with you? No. Have any of the prices "That you're sure are double what they really are" been accurate? No. Dozens of companies can do Nikasil....but you're slick hand at Google found one. Good research? No. Please tell me how you proved me wrong. Please tell me how saving a couple hundred bucks at worst, 400 to 500 at best is not a good deal... Better yet...please don't. You've got 189 whole posts here....and by the time you're done with this, probably 200. Does that mean people are gonna buy shit off you? Bet your ass not... -

First off...let's see... You could call Millenium. Since they're the company that actually plates the cylinders from CP industries (who...happens to make them) And...since I know what it costs to get this done there... it's 250.... So...good job on the research. And....since you were so dead on with those other cylinders and Cascade's polishing prices, you're really shinning here, aren't ya... Look, just because you can spell and type Google, and you can even spell a few words to type into it's search...does not mean you have a clue when it comes to pricing in this shit. And that's painfully and 100% obvious. So now that this guy sold his cylinders...do you need me to keep proving you wrong, or do you think you've done a good enough job? -

Once again...you really don't have a clue. 195 for Cascade to polish cub cylinders. No...not at least, less than half that. You can ship them both ways for 25 bucks. Those cylinders...by bigboy's own words, needing plating, (which...again, by the way...is ta da... 250 bucks.) AND HE'S NOT INCLUDING BRAND NEW PISTONS. So once again....STFU, you really don't have a F'in Clue....period. Here's the Ebay sale where the guy sold them, NOT relisted. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CUB-CYLINDE...emZ200254700640 And here's Cascade's pricing on Polishing a cub. http://67.199.65.66/cascade_innovations/ne...ORE_DEPT_ID=347 And bigboy had his for sale a month ago...and they're are sold. What's your next great investment advice??? .50 for a .25 pack of gum?? All your prices are "it has to be at least"...which, tells us all you don't have a clue. I've given you the actual costs.... -

200 per cylinder huh? Yeah, they see you coming don't they....try again. So, in all your expertise, and that fuzzy picture....and they've been run for 5 hours...you can tell they need to be plated huh? I rest my case.... And....they sold for 601....check the link again Einstein. Someone got a good deal...so even if he has to spend the 250 for BOTH cylinders to get it plated....he got pistons for free basically. Yeah....you're not an idiot.... Move along troll. -
SAE 30 weight oil non detergent

80W gearsaver oil by Bel Ray will work just fine. The guy that cut my override transmission says use ATF Type F, so that's what I use... -

Shows how much you know.... You don't bore nikasil cubs. You get them stripped, then recoated. And yes, you're running your mouth for something you don't know shit about. Just because they're a good deal doesn't mean: a. money and times are tight... b. the right buyer didn't see them c. A combo of a and b and timing.... Get over yourself...don't buy them. So glad you stepped up to be the HQ and Ebay police....nice job. -
Awesome Jeff... What nice weather, etc....looks like the track was nice and everyone had a good time!!!
-
I use Carb Cleaner....warm the bike up....soak one area at a time, intakes first..then base gaskets. With carb cleaner, the RPMs will die rather than raise...though.

6 bills is a good deal....they retail for 875 and another 175 to 190 for the new piston set. Good luck, you'll fetch what you're reserve is... Some better pics of the cylinder walls would help, as well as details if they're ported, cleaned up, by who...etc. -
Don't be discouraged by the rated weight, that's 100% irrelevant. Shaws can have the oil changed and more/less nitrogen added to accommodate any swing arm/rider weight. It's the length that is key, everything else is adjustable. That's a good price...good luck!!

Yep....all day long.

Thanks AC...electronics/Ignition is really my weak spot, I appreciate your input!!

Better than spending 4 to 5 K on a bike you already have and never making out of the parking lot.... acfine....not trying to be a smart ass... If solder is a poor conductor of electricity, why is it used to connect wires instead of wire nuts, crimp ends, tape, etc?? Is it a strength only thing?
