  1. the steering wheel controls won't work right without adapters and what not as well.
  2. from who though? Joe Schmoe or someone who knows what they're doing?
  3. by the time you get a custom 1 off creation rolling correctly, you could have rebuilt your Banshee engine twice.
  4. I'd stick with dual carbs, 28mm Keihin PWK's to be exact.
  5. get Haulers, they are well worth whatever extra they cost. Sometimes Rocky Mountain also has a Hauler clone called the 'Sand Hauler', they don't have them on their page right now, but sometimes they show up off and on as they get stock.
  6. all plastic tanks breathe through the plastic, which is why you shouldn't store fuel in plastic cans long term. The paint will bubble badly if you paint it. Sell it and buy a new tank.
  7. ASR sucks. They are con artists and will rip you off, this is their 2nd company, the first one closed due to fraudulently ripping off customers! (Last Rebel Racing) STAY AWAY!!!! also, the search engine here sucks because you can't use 3 letter words!
  8. many good oils even recommend 50:1 or more. If your plugs are black, that isn't good. It would really suck to foul a plug out in the middle of no where because your jetting is too rich, wouldn't it?
  9. what a moron.
  10. I definitely have the acorn nuts on the left on mine. Glad I got the updated ones.
  11. I have a Tusk front bumper. I took the center piece out of it. It seems like a nice piece for the money. There is a nice picture of my bike in the images section under the 'pic of my banshee at sunset' topic.
  12. yea, 15 years of owning and modifying 2 strokes, I don't know anything *rolls eyes* put that bike on a dyno with and without packing and I guarantee you lose power. I've seen it tested and every time you lose power. But hey, it's your bike, run it like that, piss people off just so you can have some lame loud tin can sounding exhaust on your banshee.
  13. weak spark can cause this as well, either from a faulty stator, coil, or cdi.
  14. I'd run dual carbs for duning (better mid-top end), but Snop knows his single carbs and his jetting advice should get you close.
  15. not to mention it hurts performance and can ruin your silencers (packing is an insulator too). I don't know how many times a clown like this pate guy has to be told, but some people are just too stupid to even bother with.
  16. weld huge 4 inch pieces of chrome pipe on too. Hell just take the silencers off and find a couple old vacuum cleaners, Cut the chrome part off the hoses and weld it to the headers. Sweet chrome tips man, and it sounds awesome and your top end will rock.
  17. just try to get 1 spot, 1 flood.
  18. see this before doing anything else to your Banshee. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=92089
  19. boost bottles = gay SUPER SCARY FAST SUPER DUPER THROTTLE BLADES Roost Boost Amp Link people who want the loudest pipes on their stock banshees mud tires on sport quads confederate flag graphics and/or stickers. Beer graphics for that matter too (wtf?) reed spacers (unless you need them for clearance issues) shitty port jobs by morons like All Pro etc teeth front bumpers single pipes single carbs (sorry for those that have them I just think they suck)
  20. I picked up a Chariot head. Uses PD style domes, haven't had any issues with it.
  21. when driven right, it's very possible. When driven on the interstate at 75-80mph or in traffic, no way. Don't be so quick to throw doubt on me when you don't even know or probably even own one.
  22. think what you want, my road trip into northern Minnesota last year with my truck, 430 miles, 21 gallons of gas. I had my YFZ450 in the back, too.
  23. I average 15mph in the winter, and 17-19mpg in the summer with my '03 Chevy Silverado LT with the 5.3L, 4WD, and 3.73 rear end. Out on the 2 lane highway at 62-65 mph it will get 20-22mpg in the summer.
