I've seen 2 compression gauges vary by as much as 25 PSI before too on the same engine 5 minutes apart.. Just something to keep in mind....not all gauges are created equal. -
that looks pretty normal for a 2 stroke piston to me.

pistons get scratched a bit. A picture would speak 1000 words. Also, I don't understand how you have DG headers and stock pipes? do you mean DG pipes and stock silencers?

I'd pass. Quadzilla's are notoriously unreliable, and finding parts for them really, really sucks. Take that 900 dollars and get some better pipes, a timing advance plate, have the head shaved, and get some sort of air intake for your Banshee. -
there is a reason modern, high performance snowmobile 2 stroke engines have a carb for each cylinder, because it aids the performance of the engine.

I wouldn't bother, stick with twin carbs.

and if it still reads low after doing what is mentioned above, put a tablespoon of oil in the cylinder and re-test. If your results improve, you have worn rings or a scored cylinder wall.

Ricky Stator = junk 5 years ago I loved them. Now that they get everything from China, its cheap junk that breaks and messes up your riding trip.

I always find the UPS Stores or places like PostNet etc rip you off on shipping. if you have a UPS hub nearby, go there instead.

yep I'm back, and I've joined the dark side, I own a 2007 YFZ 450 and a '98 Banshee now (I actually just bought the Banshee tonight). Yes, the 450 is faster :biggrin: it's like a 250R on steroids. Jer is still around, just doesn't get on many forums anymore except mine. He has an 18 month old son now too, so look out, a whole new breed of Quick's are coming!

I know this post is really, really old, but I had to reply to it with an update. Adam Miller (aka Big Skinny) has been in prison the last 4 months on charges of making terroristic threats. It's just proof that what goes around, comes around. :thumbsup:
