  1. Pretty much a CLASSIC....I know I first heard this about 6 years ago. Its as funny now as it was then. Brad
  2. I ordered some of these Maxxis tires pictured below. Anyone use them?? Brad
  3. Keep working at it. It should not be a problem opening the body up. Its resealing that is a bitch...As per below. Yamaha put TWO snap rings in there. The one on the top is simple enough to remove. It is getting to the one they put on the bottom that you can't see that is giving you problems. You have to drill through the seal "Carefully" in order to remove the bottom retaining ring. Once you remove it you need not replace it in reassembly. Just re-install the top retainer. Yamaha did it purposely to keep the DIY out of it...I say keep at it, race-tech makes a kit to reseal/valve it. Should be able to pick a kit up at the local dealer for around 60-80bux. Brad
  4. Boonman...WTF man....I have been using this shit...No ill effects as of yet, but I am on the edge of my seat as to why I don't want to run it...I actually just ran out of it and bought some synthetic Silcolene. Brad
  5. This is why a guy simply can't get an objective opinion on the internet...Everyone fosters what they have or have had in the past as being the absolute shit to the point that the objectivity is lost. You have to sift through all the bullshit and find the FEW that just speak the facts. Why AC would get bad mouthed is way past me...Every manufacturer has made mistakes. My own exp. has been very pleasant in that we have incurred minimal repairs and no breakdowns. I am sure there are hororr stories out there, but that would apply to every make I suppose. For a Mountain Sled I like the RMK 6&700, The Highmark 600 and the AC Powder Special "Now Mountain Cat" 600EFI...I test rode the AC MC 600EFI & the 800 and I liked the 600 MUCH better in the sidehills as well as everywhere else. The 800 just needs horsed around a lil too much for my taste. The 600 was very flickable and powerfull...I have ridden many, although only owned AC machines... Brad
  6. I guess I don't count yet, but will possibley be moving to Santa Fe area in the next few months. Brad
  7. I guess I am too old to get it...I really don't see the attraction of getting it done or looking at it... I suppose you would never lose your keys..Maybe they will come out with attachments for a backpack and shit like that... Brad
  8. It takes a special type of person to do that kind of work. I personally would rather never have that type of a job. I agree that he should be forced to resign. He needs to do something else. The job has taken its toll on his compassion for humanity and general values. Its kinda sad really... I have to admit that although I have remorse for anyone that is in an accident..But...I tend to lose a little compassion for those that ride like wild fools "Such as myslef" AND don't wear helmets on Bikes...But its not my job to do so either... Brad
  9. SWEET....I am all over that like a cheep suit... Thanks, Brad
  10. Thanks...Should have done a search....Loads of info out there on this...Thanks ROD... Brad
  11. OK...I think I need a new clutch soon...It is slipping a bit even after I changed the oil few times now. The adjustment marks are way off "The Arrows on the Lever poistion & The Case" but I am not sure if just re-adjusting it will fix the issue. I just would rather not go to the trouble of trying the adjustment only to find out I need anew clutch???? AND I am not sure what is the best route to go since all I want to change is the disks...I would rather not go through Yamaha on this one. I can get the EBC clutch kit through Tucker Rocky, but I am not sure if it is a good way to go with a stock basket??? Brad
  12. If you think a XC will do it for ya then go that route...Depends on what you want from the sled regardless of brand. They all make great sleds but the model choices among the brands is really where you need to shop. I do alot of steep hillclimbing and need to be able to pick through the trees so I went with something Narrow up front with a semi-long track. The AC Powder Special600...It has been perfect for what I do with it. It is nimble, powerfull and easy to sidehill on the really steep stuff...I could accomplish the same thing with a Highmark, or an RMK...I am not really a fan of the YAH sleds though...Sorry... If you are on mostly Flat trails then the XC is prolly a pretty good choice IMO... Have fun man.... Brad
  13. I run them...They seem to hook up fine. BUT I have not tried anything else yet since they came with the bike pretty much new. I thought they did pretty good in the snow turned around. It just depends on what kind of snow surface it is. Pretty much worthless in any more than a foot of snow. Brad
  14. Is it just me or does that thing just get faster and faster???? I can't stop laughing.. Brad
  15. Right on Ben...I will definatley be looking you cats up when I get settled in NM. Cheers, Brad
  16. VERY SORRY for your loss...Your family is in my prayers. Brad
  17. There is a good chance I will be moving to New Mexico. I know there are some banshee nuts around there. I will be in the Los Alamos & Santa Fe area. Will know for sure in a couple weeks. Anyone close by??? Brad
  18. To me its just a turn-off when there is all the smack talk...I like the Shut-Up & handle your business with much authority type...Let the skills speak in VOLUMES as apposed to your Suck/Soup Cooler.. Also...The more shit you talk the further you have to fall when shit aint goin' your way...haha...Thats when assholes just like me are pointing and laughing... Brad
  19. I agree.... Although I don't like either one of them...Pure and simple Brad
  20. Bubba has way too much attitude for my taste...Back in the day Ricky was similar, but not even close to being as big mouthed as Bubba is... What kinda smak have you ever heard Mike Larrocco talk??? EVER..??? If ANYONE has some braggin' rights its him. He is like the bad case of gout ya can't get rid of...."Whatever gout is...haha...Nasty foot disease I think" Anyways Ricky has matured to the point where I am able to respect him...The think is that THE MAC always had that level of maturity. In regards to Ricky taking a title with a SUZ...I don't see the comparison there since the bikes change so much in a DECADE...haha...Come on now...The time frame MAC was on a SUZ it was a HUGE challenge cuz they were GUTTLESS wonders that handled really well..That simply is not the case these days. Chad Reed can throw somemore shrimp on the barbie back home and never come back to the states for all I care. He is a total TOSSER... Brad
  21. Representing " WAZZU " the Palouse/Cougar Country...Free Riding the wheat fields & Attacking the River Breaks of the Snake River Valley. Some STEEP SHIT BABY!!!! And Try to make it to the Blue Mountains "Umatilla National Forest"..More STEEP SHIT!!! Brad
  22. Yes & thanks for the kind words. It is a 94 Tbird SC "Supercoupe"...I have a 90SC as well. You may already know, but they made them from 89-95. Brad
  23. I have two cars with Superchargers on them...One of them is pictured below. Anyways IMO depending on what you would end up using you may end up using about the same amount you gain just to propulse the pump. This is the only bad thing about Blowers is that they rob HP to make HP. So if you can't make X amount of boost then you are defeating the purpose. And even if you do make X amount of Boost...Is it a cool enough charge to prevent detonation...??? Turbo's make alot more sense for smaller applications. Not to say it can't work...Its just that you could net better, more efficiant results with a small turbo. Brad
  24. I have not done this YET so I may be missing something. BUT is there any way to get a puller on it??? Or a slide hammer?? I must be missing something. My Clymer manual is at home so I dont have an IPB to look at. Brad
  25. For sure jump on that. Definatley nothing to lose on that deal. Brad
