So a friend of mine got this lil POS buggy that some college students hacked together several years ago. He paid ZERO for the buggy so regardless he could not really lose... Since, he has put some monster rubber on it, all new wiring, Sheetmetal paneling 'compliments of the State HWY Dept., head porting, Turbo, homemade wing and some other unmentionalbes...I think he did a pretty good job keeping the budget to damn near nothing and ending up with a decent lil buggy. I went for the test ride in this thing when he got the turbo on it...I was dead impressed with how it lunged when the turbo spooled...WOW...heh Here are some pics...Its still a work in progress. The turbo is not setup perfect but it works. He used an old air cleaner for a boost top and anyone could guess what happened to that...haha...Infact I mentioned that there was no way in hell that it was going to live through any kind of boost and sure enough it blew a big hole in it on the test run...haha Brad

It has been my experiance that Mexican folks are very family oriented and take good care of their own in most instances. There are always a few bad eggs out there but that is among any group. For the most part I see them as a good part of society if we embrace them. IN TURN they need to embrace our laws and get on board and in line with the proper entry into the United States. Nothing great comes with no expense, wait, sacrafice, etc...So why should any individual be rewarded the gift of American Citizenship without going through the same challenges and sacrafices as the next guy that DID follow policy and entered the US legally??? Sorry but regardless as to how much I may admire these folks for their courage and hard working nature, to the back of the line ya go if you entered the US outside of the law. One thing I found VERY disturbing was a few photos of a San Diego Hight School where students were protesting. Evidently the school was predominantly Hispanic as thats is all I saw in the photos. Regardless, there I saw the American Flag flying upside-Down and the Mexican flag flying right-side-up...Let me tell ya...This is no way to win the hearts of most red-blooded Americans...Weak ass, jerk-off California Liberals maybe, but not the forementioned for sure...I will take into account that they were High School kids and not adults, but at the same time it don't take much of the sting out of it for me... That about summs it up for me... Cheers, Brad

So like the title says...I want a lil more power. I listed my mods, I am not sure where to go from here. I have been neglecting this site a bit and am not sure where to pick up with my mods. K&N w/modded airbox FMF Fatties w/sliencers Jetted perfect "Stock Carbs" VforceII reeds Rick Stator Timing plate @ +4 NEW Bad ass Clutch Sprocket & tire setup: 22" rears w/13tooth front & 42 tooth rear. I need the clearance where I ride...Thats why I use the taller tires. I am a big guy "265lbs" so I have been steering clear of the Lightened Flywheel because of that...I could stand to lose like 30lbs, but that is the lightest I get, so I think that mod is out of the question?? I was running againgst two NEW 06?? Raptor 700's, 05 TRX450 & a 04 Predator...I was able to hang with and pull on them even though I am friggin' HUGE compared to any of these lil squirts. BUT I want the bike to make MORE of a statement. I can't really see me putting more than $500 into the bike this season though...Any ideas??? Thanks in advance.. Brad

Are you at NAS Lemoore?? I was stationed there from 89-94...Airframes VFA-125 F-18 Hornets. Got out of the Marines and went to Kuwait to wrench on Hornets for some decent dollars. It worked out... Anyways...Don't do that anymore. Now a Systems Engineer for State University. Brad -
I am using 22" rears on my shee...The fronts are 21"...I am considering going with a 23" tire on the fronts for more travel. I ride in the woods and rock bluffs alot and the added clearance would be nice. Anyone else run the 23's in front??? Brad

95 AC Powder Special 580 on carbs...Modded mildly with a pretty wild clutch setup. 98 AC Powder Special 600EFI bone stock. Both perfect for the kind of riding I like to do. Would fancy a superlong track big power sled to play with though. Its without a doubt a big dollar hobby though. Too many other things swallowing up the funds I'm afraid...heh Cool to see the sled guys here...Hope to see some pics of the rides this season. With luck we will have a good snow season this year...I never even took them off the trailer last winter...No snow... Brad

Brad

Go to Eastwood and check out their polishing tools and tips...It don't pay to go cheap if you want to do alot of polishing. Their prices are pretty reasonable actually. Eastwood Polishing Kits/Gear Brad

So the bikes in the crates have fluids and shit??? I thought they would need minor assembly and fluids added to get them anywhere...??? Anyways, not alotta brain power smokin' through this cats head to begin with...It could be alot worse story for sure with regards to your tools.. Brad

Have you considered a Thunderbird Supercoupe?? You can pick them up pretty cheep and they respond well to minor modifications. I have two of them...One 5spd & Auto...Both have been good cars...They are supercharged, and will manage mid 14's with very minor mods. Both of mine make close to 30mpg and both have been heavily modded. Go here and take a look at the cars for sale. Supercoupe Club of America I have to warn you though...Once you have one you will probably never want to get rid of it...I have had my first one since 93 and never plan on getting rid of it. I don't own any other type of car...2 supercoupes...Thats it..I attached a picture of one of mine to give you an idea of what they look like... The Mustang on the other hand....I dunno much about them, other than I spank alot of them on the street... Brad
