  1. OK...So I am very new to the Banshee...I was told that the bike has Works Shox on it already. Looking at them they just don't look aftermarket to me..."Been Painted" Gold of all colors... So my question is...Do the Stockers on the 98' banshee or any other years have the resivoirs for each unit?? Mine have the lil resivoirs connected to each shock on the fronts...So whats the verdict?? Or do I have to snap shots of the shox I got... TIA Brad
  2. I don't think it would be the same without Travis P...I love to watch him race. Like already mentioned...Take a whole season or two or three dead serious with no other distractions and I think he would be in the top 5...Where in the top 5 would prolly be up to him...Like I said...I think he has the talent...Just not the focus. Not that I know ANYTHING...hahaha...Cuz I don't...Just observations and opinions...And you know what they say about opinions...haha Cheers Brad
  3. beadlock front rims, holeshot mx tires, douglas rear rims, new jets, dg nerf bars, ufo fenders blue, new seat cover, full body skid plate, and i have more mods, just too much to list. I wanna know how any of that shit will make you faster...A skid plate is more weight for one, and same goes for the nerf bars...So I guess that shit makes ya slower...Good thing ya got Blue plastic though...And that Seat cover is gonna make ALL the differance... Brad
  4. Lost a reed or two??? Thats what I would check.. Brad
  5. Tit...Dedication and Focus are two differant things IMO anyways...Regardless he seems to have things in the bag and lets it slip by making mistakes. I have watched him live at outdoor races and saw the same thing from him. Don't get me wrong...I like the guy and wish he found himself in the mix for a championship but I just don't think he is capable of it since he does the same things everytime out it seems... Brad
  6. I agree, there is no way any of those guys are gonna let Bubba by them....It would be dead nice to see a REAL battle as apposed to it being between two or three...I would like to see it be anyones title down to the last race...But I somehow doubt that...haha Travis could easily take a podium or two...And I think that kid is ALWAYS in shape...haha...Its just my arm chair opinion but I always thought Travis lacked focus...I dunno...So much talent and no title in the 250's...Something is lacking compared to the competition...What...I dunno for sure..Just a guess... Brad
  7. Yes....Mike Larrocco is know for 3rd 4th and 5th consistantly in the hunt...I dunno what that guy does to stay competitive but he is more than impressive at his age or for any age I suppose... Kevin Whindom is a awesome smooth rider...The thing is IMO he is not outta control enough to win races consistantly...I have always like Kevins riding style. Pastrana will never take a 250 National title if ya ask me...He is very talented but so are ALOT of others...Vullenman, Ferry, Tortelli, Fonseccea...etc Back to Mike Larrocco...I would LOVE to see him take a title at this venture in his career..If these guys wanna push him into retirment they will let him have one...haha Brad
  8. Bubba is gonna have to mature first...I think he might be overwhelmed with all the competition in the 250 class...Unlike the 125 class the 250's have ALL the talent in the finals. Not saying he is not capable, but he is gonna have his work cut out for him in his first year...Anyone remember how hard it was for RC his first year in the 250 class, and how many other Big upcoming 125 stars failed to produce podiums once they went to the 250 class?? Quite a few... I am a diehard MC fan...Talk about CLASS... Chad Reed on the other hand...Mehhh...Go back to AUS dude... Brad
  9. Nothing that has not already been said already...But I also like to see such fellowship among "Enthusiests??"... It reminds me of another place I am a long time member of...To see such a display so early in my membership here really sparks my appreciation for this place as well as its members. I need to pony up some dues.. Good on ya... Brad
  10. When you pay with a MO from a Post Office it is a Federal Offense NOT to come through on the deal....SO...If you send Payment VIA MO and the transaction went sour report the whole scenario to the Postal Service and he will be spanked with MAIL FRAUD which happens to be a FEDERAL OFFENSE "Thought I would mention this fact again incase you were'nt paying attention earlier"... So to the theif...YOUR future aint lookin' too bright if this unhappy buyer reports you. Cheers Brad
  11. Well I skipped most of the drama stuff...Regardless I tend to lean towards Brunettes when it comes to split tail...So it is prolly obvious which one got my attention...No punn intended... Anyways being new to the forum I have to say...I like it here... Brooke...I added you to my AIM list... Brad
  12. Yea, guess none of us thought of that..... But suspension is very important. 286827[/snapback] Fair enough guys... The previous owner of the Banshee did Works front and rears...And a +1 frontend as well...I dunno about the shortened swingarm...I guess if I find it to be a PIA the way it is I will look into that... So I think the susp. is gonna be OK once I get it dialed in for my own preferance. Brad
  13. I remember seeing a video of a Snowmobile racing a Banshee with a GSXR1000 eng. on it...The sled whooped the Banshee in the sand... Pretty much its apples and oranges IMO...I love the Banshee...But ya can't take anything away from properly built sleds. There are some crazy sleds out there with Genasis engines making 250+ HP...So it aint too tough to find a race you can lose either... Brad
  14. Thanks alot for all the HELP/ADVICE... So... 1. Filter Kit/V-Force Reeds/FMF Fatties/JETS....Recover from spending...haha 2. Will see...Prolly Lightened Flywheel and a WOODS Port job/CoolHead & domes 3. The Trinity 2 into 1 Regardless I really appreciate everyone taking the time out to reply to my inquiry. Cheers Brad
  15. So is there a disadvantage to using the K&N lid replacment? Still getting airflow without unwanted debree..?? Brad
  16. Well I am dead new to the SHEE..But I have been reading about mods quite a bit and far as I can tell V-Force reeds got more praise than that of the Boyson set...I used Boyson on my CR250 in the past and had great results...But this is a new setup for me with the Shee....So I still have alot to learn...But sometimes ya need to just do a search and see if anything catches your eye/attention that would make you swing one way or the other...I think either product is probably a pretty good one. After all it is all in the rigidity of the reed itself right??? As apposed to the unit that houses the reeds??? Like I said...I dunno...haha One thing that did get my attention...And that is how cheep I can get a reed set from FMF...Why is this setup so much less...And could you net similar results with this unit??? Not trying to hi-Jack the thread or anything... Cheers Brad
  17. For a first bike I like the Ducati Monsters...Go with a 750 for starters...They hold their value well so when you are ready to ace it you will have no problems...Also there is alot of uniquness with this particular bike...Not many will know what it is...With a nice set of Termignoni "SP" pipes it will sound like a small block chevy idling...haha...They are nimble, and forgiving in the corners, and they have that low down grunt power that won't really catch you by surprise..It is a decievingly powerfull setup... The R1/Gixxr/ZX9R..etc..These aret for the riders that are not satisfied with anything but balls out power. I happen to be one of these junkies, and I aint gonna even start tellin' stories... One thing I will agree with...And that is...If you are good on a dirtbike it will help your control on a streetbike...They have little in common carving corners but seat of the pants control the dirt exp. is gonna be nice... If ya decide you NEED the big power...Save yourself ALOT of money and get a more dated bike...Such as a Gixxer750...Say a 96-99...Cheap superbike power. I had a '96 and it was a total beast with only a full hindle exh., K&N kit with Jets this thing was amazing. Brad
  18. Hello guys...I am a new member here...I just got my Banshee and I would like to start making my MOD list/plan with your help...I have done some research here but it is still unclear to me as to what path to take. I happen to be a Tucker Rocky Dealer so I have access to some aftermarket parts, but this is the first time I have modded a 2-Stroke engine really...I mostly do cars and streetbikes...I do however understand the general concept of making more power. I have a hard time believing the Perf. Parts power increase estimations and what other mods are needed to pair up with said parts to make said gains...Ya know what I mean??? I just don't want to waste my money on something that is not gonna compliment everything else I decide to do to the bike.. SO...If you all could give me say...A list in the order of what mods to do to best compliment each one...If there is such an order to do them in...Just keep in mind I don't ride in the sand, and I doubt I will much if at all...Mostly free riding in wheat fields or trails in the mountains at 3-6K feet elev...And prolly do some time on a MX Track... Here are some things I have in mind to start with... 1. Lightened Flywheel "Via BoonMan" This is a no-brainer... 2. FMF Fatty Pipe set "I know these pipes are very debatable but I can get these at a killer price and they happen to make power down low/Mid and still keep some top end...So I have read/been told???? 3. K&N filter Lid replacment & K&N filter units on the carbs 4. A rejet to compliment the above 5. Noss Head & 22 or 21CC Domes??? I dunno exactly what benafit there is here...??? Should I just have "BOONMAN" do his machine work on my heads instead and get the same or better results??? I want to be able to run pump gas...No race fuel hassles... 6. Aftermarket Ignition piece..."Don't recall the MFR." 7. Considering the Trinity 2-into one intake/Carb setup...This is a spendy piece and would prolly come later. 8. And wht sprocketry should I change to for my type of riding??? I recall reading that I should stay with odd number sprocket teeth to get the best wear on my chain and sprocket??? Never heard of this before... 9. I can get the V-Force reeds as well...WHen do I do that??? TIA... Cheers... Brad
  19. Just picked up a Banshee and want to know if there is a suggested manual to get for the best in depth illustration...??? Is there an FAQ here as well??? I never saw it...To save a bunch of stupid questions... Brad
