Michael Jackson not guilty on all charges...
cudaz101 replied to Brooke's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Being a parent myself I agree with that 100%...I thought there was a law in place that charged parents with neglect. Pretty simple fact that many parents have neglected to take the past accusations seriously or they are using their children for monetary gains...The stupid "Taking accusations seriously" part would be more understandable to the tune of it being too bad that the kid/kids have ignorant parents. On the other hand if these still stupid folks think they are somehow brilliant in thinking they can gain wealth via pimping their kid out to MJ then THAT in my opinion requires a most srtingant punishment to the tune of mid-evil...Since we are using lines from a certain movie..."Brooke"..hehe I would never take my kids to Neverland but I can't remember why...??? I actualy liked watching him "Bubba" ride the 125 class before he was all high on himself...Now I avoid listening to him during podium interviews etc... I have a question for you or anyone else intererested...Mike Larroaco...Who is ever going to follow in the footsteps of this guy??? He has been going the strongest for the longest...Its amazing what he has accomplished without all the accilaids of some others that have come and gone...Yet he is still in the middle of the points race and frequents the podium...My guess is that nobody in the professional sport today lasts as long as Mike...Maybe someone up and coming but I don't see anyone right now that I would say has the love and drive...I dunno maybe Windam...Doubtfull.. Brad

Yea...Bubba is all hot to keep his sponsor or at least impress upon them that he is the key to their 250CC success...When he gets more comfortable and just rides things will probably come together for him. His 250 start and attitude reminds me of RC & Lusks star/attitude as well... I like watching Bubba race, but I just don't like him like I like alot of the other guys...Mike LaRocco, McGrath, Pastrana, Windam, etc...He talks too much shit for my liking. STFU and RIDE... RC on the other hand....He has come a long ways, and has pretty much dominated with some authority. He is more likeable now, but he was also one that I did not care for early on...He always had a list of excuses as to why he was at the bottom of the podium, a DNF, or whatever... Just my $.02 Brad

He prolly forgot to mention that his Brother in law lives & rides at 8500ft above sea level... Anyways, at 2700+ ft with fatty pipes alone my bike was dialed in perfect with 280's as well... Now still fatties...No airbox and some other mods its at 320's and still seems lean at 2700ft...Where I was recently riding at 4-7K ft. it seemed to be about right... Brad

So your sealhead is improved over stock?? Is there any custom setup for weight etc?? What are the exact improvments to be expected from your rebuild?? And what is your turnaround time?? Brad
-
Thats a Negative. The oil content/volume will change with the Rezzie setup. Oscar can walk you through the steps to service up to the point of Nitrogen charge. Then simply take them in and have the charged to 250psi. It cost me like $8.00 You have to cavitate the new volume/area with fluid/oil or you will get air in the system and it will just foam up and you will loose all dampening. Call Works and ask for Oscar specifically. Brad

It really is too bad that there are sooo many out there just like this guy to one degree or another. It makes me wonder what the coversations were like at the dinner table he grew up at...Back in the day they would have simply burned your ass out for such shit. My question is when is that trend gonna come around again. Brad

Yea...I should have mentioned that I DID go back to the stocker and it is in the Middle position...OK...So the needle can effect the WOT top gear choke test?? I though that was ALL mains...??? Thanks for the reply... Brad
-
OK....So I am still lean...Did choke pull and no change...I am pretty happy with the o-75% throttle response...Shit I am happy with the power clear through...But Top Gear WOT with choke wide open no change... 320Main/Middle clip position/stockl pilot/2700ft Bueler...??? Bueler...????...I have to admit I am a bit miffed here... Brad
-
You using a stock needle or the DynoJet piece??? I am using the Longer Dyno-Jet piece...I am considering going back to the stocker "Shorter Needle". BTW...Thanks for the reply... Brad

First of all. This is a pretty strait forward and simple Do-It-Yourself project that anyone can do with a lil common sense and attention to detail. I would put it at a difficulty level of 4 on a scale of 10 Works Perf. supplies the replacement parts & parts breakdown documents of their shocks. This is just a GENERAL how to. It may or may not completley apply to your own works shock rebuild. That is where the common sense thing comes into play. So on to the project. 1. Determining what your shocks need "Resealed, Re-Valved, new shaft, new Head, etc..."...Mine needed a simple Reseal kit. They were just leaking. Works has alot of options for reseal, or other replacment pieces. Check your "shafts #5" for deep gouges in the smooth finish. Pretty much if you can catch your fingernail on it, thats not a good thing. You could still possibly get away with just hitting it with emery cloth depending on how bad it is...Another common sense thing. 2. Required tools...Most of them can be found in the house junk droor. Really, I found that no real "Special" tool were actually required. I did not need a special wrench to get my shock apart. I used a good thick rag and a set of good chanell locks and they came apart with no breech of the metal finish. Follow the instructions and tips that Works gives you and everything will go smooth. 3. Removing the main Shaft seal...This was probably the toughest part of the rebuild. The seal is pressed into the "Seal Head #7" aluminum body and it does not want to come out at all. Take your time and be carefull when removing this. I used a good set of dikes/sidecutters to bend over & snip the seal to weaken it. Eventually it will come out with little trouble. The key is to be patiant with it. If you do make any marks on the aluminum seating surface for the seal simply hit it with some emery cloth until smooth. Not a biggy really...There is no textbook way to remove this thing that I am aware of. It presses in pretty easy with a vise & wooden block. 4. Shock Diagram/Pats Breakdown "GENERAL" Like I mentioned before...This is not an IPB for ALL Works Shocks. It just gives you some basics, so its not all foreighn when you take them apart. It is basic enough to basically cover a works shock in general though. If you run into a snag contact Works with your inquiry. They were very helpfull to me, although they did try to get me to just send my shocks to them. Fair enough, business is business, but I like doing things myself just as something to do as apposed to saving alot of money. Although I did happen to save quite a bit. 5. COST... A. The reseal kit was $32 shipped to my door. B. 5w Hipo shock oil $12 locally C. Nitrogen Service $8 locally D. Supplies $10 maybe...Not counting my paint/stripper etc... 6. Time: My rebuild took 5-Days...Mine took awhile becasue I had to strip my shocks of the pimp gold rattle can paint from hell that did not want to come off. So re-finishing them is what took the most time. If it was just a reseal, or even a total rebuild it would have taken a few hours. I had to paint, sand, paint, sand, paint, sand...To get the finish quality I wanted. 7. Results: I am VERY happy with the results. No leaks, no gold paint and some decent suspension finally. I would recomend this to anyone that can change the oil in their bike. Really...If you read the whole document I have hosted/linked above you can't go wrong. 8. Finished Product... Its rattle can paint...I did put some time in it though. Some say that it holds heat etc...My type/style of riding I don't think all that really applies. Finally all done up and ready to bolt on for testing. Finally on the bike and working as advertised. Very pleased I really hope this helps someone. If not then I only wasted a few minutes I guess...haha... Cheers, Brad

OK...So I have trying to dial my shee in for a few days now. Here is where I am at with mods. FMF Fatty Delta 2's Stock Carbs K&N stock airbox w/NO lid 2700ft elev. Before the K&N & Airbox lid removed I was using 290/stock pilot/Middle clip/adjust air screws. This was perfect and I am almost pissed that I messed with the K&N & lid now...heh...I don't mean that...haha Last try was: 310's/stock Pilot/clip=2nd position from top/ Result of the above was LEAN...Pulled choke at WOT and it made no diff...I know I need to go to a 27.5 pilot cuz I am boggy at 1/8th throttle as well... Tomorrow...320's/stock pilot"unless I can find a 27.5"/Middle clip/adjust screws...Am I going in the right direction??? I'm not really frusterated yet I am just wanting a few opinions.. Thanks in advance... Brad

I can appreciiate the constructive reply without totally agreeing...I will and do continue to frequent the other forums as well as the BHQ. Maybe change the title to Christmas and let it go on for another 7+ months...Whatever... Brad

How did I know my post count would be an issue... ...Most forums I have been to draw the "Latitude" lline of "general topic" at Religion...Its a topic that very few share the exact same views and at times only ends up creating discontent towards one another.. I simply don't see its place HERE...You do...Whatever...I'm pretty sure there are more than enough places on the intraweb to express your religious views without having to do so here. Once again...Just an opinion/view/observation. Don't feel free to speak to me in a condecending manner. You don't know me...And don't mistake my post count to be some type of barometer for inexperience of any fashion. Carry on brandishing your depths of wisdomesk knowledge, assumptions & beliefs... Brad

Get over yourself...Don't take everything so personal...It was just a frank opinion/request/inquiry made publicly on a Public Forum. Brad
-
Why can't this go to the Roostin' Room...??? That forum is dead anyways...Frankly I am sick of seeing this in the General forum as I don't see where religion finds its place here really... Brad

Ferrari = High revving, cool sounding, stlyish, fast machine which = Banshee WTF does a 400ex have in common with a Ferrari??? Certainly not exh. tone, speed, or handling...Hmmmm???? Brad

Hers another one for the right to bare arms. I suppose on some level you did the right thing by not doing anything to escelate the incodent. But I think you had every right to open fire. Those types are like roaches. When you get out the can of spray they scatter like mad. Fair enough its easy to kick back and talk shit having not been there. But I have been there, just another incodent. Sorry your weekend was busted by some dirtbags man... Brad
-
I think he is more concerned about the REAR shock from the YZF fitting the Banshee as apossed to the fronts. Brad
-
I've never done the WD-40 air leak test...I would assume that you are concerned about an INTAKE air leak therfore the result would not be bubbles. I would imagine that it would change the idle if not make the machine die when you sprayed the affected problem area. Propane works pretty good as well...Or anything else similar to either of the two. Brad

So what is the link to TCS then??? I googled them and got a shitload of vendors but nothing on TCS alone... Brad
-
I have a set of Maxxis Sure-Trac tires as well...They are on my stock rims & have been GREAT. I got another set of wheels and wanted to get a differant type of tire for other conditions. I am really happy with all the feed-back on them. Can't wait to try them out. Brad
-
Thats what I was thinkin'...Is there a more reasonable alternative that you know of for a rebuild other than DIY??? Brad
