nah...there is a true 2wd feature and 4wd is what they call a visco-lok that only triggers when there is a wheel slip making control a lil nicer. Ive not GPS'd the bike yet but had the speedo to 76...Im not a big top speed guy so I have not rung it out to see what it will do but 80-85 is the general concensus among owners. Brad

My giant Banshee with a steering wheel project
cudaz101 replied to theeechozen1's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Very Cool. Nice work!! Brad -
Thanks Guys Yea, the thing weighs 560lbs and they even gained a few lbs after 07' from what Ive read and when I mount the winch it will bump the weight up as well. It feels heavy at times, but will sometimes gives you the illusion of a Sport Quad but yea the GO-Factor is pretty impressive right out of the box. Im gonna wait until I get bored with the power before I do modifications. As it is right now, none of the guys I ride with are rockin' anything that even comes close to it. hehe I had to do something because I am really getting tired of beating the crap out of my Banshee following these 4wd quads around. Oh yea...That peak is called Bald Mountain at Laird Park ID., its only like a 4800ft peak but the snow was pretty deep in places. Also ride the Washington Blue Mountains in the Umatilla National Forest alot. Brad

I picked up a 07 CanAm Renegade 800 for winter and rough terrain riding. So far this thing has really been impressive for what it is. To compare it to my Banshee would be retarded. The Renegade is as close to a Utility ATV as I will ever bring myself to own..haha Ive dont nothing to the bike but put tires on it. Put about 600miles on it so far and no troubles at all. Here is a pic on one of the trail peaks a few months ago. Brad

Whats been up with the site?
cudaz101 replied to chevrolet banshee's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I am glad to finally see that others are having issues as well. I continually get PM and Thread Post Emails as other users appear to not be impacted when I am unable to simply even see the forum. I can ping the website IP attached to the cache page but can't pint the web URL address...Only thing I can come up with is a DNS issue. I have access to 4 differant ISP's and many differant terminals and NONE of them were able to see the BHQ yet I only see this single thread with respect to site issues??heh Currently I can see BHQ from my Desktop at home and a Wireless VPN connection at my place of work. The other two connections I have (Wireless @ home & LAN @ Work) are unable to get here. I would add that I've been coming here since 2004 with no issues from any of the said connections...??? Cheers, Brad -
Waiting for Payment before they are shipped out. If it falls through I will let the next guy have a crack at them. Thanks for all the interest and PM's fellas. Someone is going to get a nice set of Shocks. BTW...The shocks are for a 250lb plus rider. For some reason I was unable to get to the BHQ...heh...Appeared to be a DNS Server issue?? So I am sorry for the latency in my replies. Looks like I am back for now...heh Cheers!!! Brad

I rebuilt these shocks a few years ago....Even did a write up on it in the susp. forum. Anyways I am going another direction because the shocks need rebuilt again. SO....You know right up front that the shocks are gonna need repacked. (Not that big of a job really: see write up I did). The photos are right after I rebuilt them. $150obo shipped anywhere in the L48. Pics

I ship custom wheels & tires on a regular basis and only have UPS as a service provider. Lemme tell ya they SUCK!! You insure a package for X-amount of dollars but the MAX you will ever get out of them is $100 per package PERIOD. Their legal disclaimer is IRON-CLAD fellas...Basically in a nutshell is says...ITS NOT OUR FAULT EVER...EVEN IF IT IS OUR FAULT ITS STILL NOT OUR FAULT...Lastly it should say in the disclaimer "YOU ARE A TOTAL DUMBASS IF YOU USE OUR SERVICES BECAUSE WE ARE GOING TO SMASH YOUR SHIT AND ITS GONNA BE YOUR FAULT WE DID IT"...Rant off...haha Really though...I would recomend using USPS or DHL..They have much better policy and service. Surprise! Another shee jetting question.
cudaz101 replied to 250RTONE's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I ride @ 4K alot and run a 290 clip in 3rd position...But I run a K&N with no lid and +4 timing. I think you are at a good starting spot. Regardless of what you decide to start with you are going to have to change it a couple times before its right anyways. Brad -
eating lots of gas with new parts
cudaz101 replied to cheezehead69's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Something aint right...I bet if you pulled the choke all the way out at WOT the quad would pull a wheelie...heh Get that bike jetted even if you have to take it to a shop or your shee is gonna be a GRILLED SHEEEEZE Sammich... Brad -
Prolly be close...Just have to do feel it out and plug chop it. Brad

Do a search on pipes and you should be able to come up with an objective decision. It all depends on what you want from the bike when choosing pipes. There is no ONE best pipe to go with... Brad

Like bandanshee basically said...It depends alot on where you ride in WA...Elevation and temps are key... What works for me in Pullman WA. Elev. @ 2700ft I use 290's with my mild mods...And I keep my modded airbox lid on. When I go to the Blue Mountains riding @ 3200ft+ I just remove my airbox lid and I am good to go. Its pretty much spot on and the bike responds great at both elevations. There are some great jetting articles if you search for them...GREAT information that anyone with a Banshee needs to know. Cheers, Brad

I dunno fellas...I am a 2-Stroke freak but 80HP is 80HP no matter how you chop it up. 80HP with 4-stroke torque might be a pretty nice combination. Yea...I took a look at the Phazer 500cc 4-stk and its rated at 80HP...Pretty impressive IMO. There is alot of chatter about this among dealers as well...May not be a pipe dream/BS... Brad
-
I agree...It may get upgraded at some point. Its great for the pea fields right now though...haha The guy is all about keeping this thing on a super low budget but it could turn into something else. Brad
-
Its alot more stuntable now with the Turbo but its far from well setup Rail... Tit...It has the stock brake setup and it seems to work pretty well...The brakes however don't get used ALOT...haha...But yea, the next thing to go in it is independent wheel brakes for steer braking. And yea...Its a helluvuh view in the avatar... Brad
-
Its just a manual rack. It steers fine and handles better than you would think with the susp. that is in place. 60mph through some smi-rough terrain is not too bad...Jumping it off eyebrows is interesting though...heh Brad
