They are twice as exspensive... :yelrotflmao: In all seriousness I doubt that Lee would have a problem with this other than the fact he does have his own product.. Even at that I don't think you would be breaking any laws.. I think it just kinda boils down to being respectful and asking but thats TOTALY just my opinion and nothing more.. Iam looking to buy a hoodie or two possibly so Iam not trying to knock your idea man.. I am not sure what kinda offensive PM's you have been getting but I think most the people that said you should ask are lookin out for you.. I think I even remember Chase asking before he started selling BansheeHQ stickers.. Is it me or does everyone seem so damn testy lately..? RIPPEN

RIPPEN replied to Keyser Soze's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Yeah that arm was NASTY.. There were deffinatly some good finishes tonight.. I wish Kosh wouldn't have won but oh well.. Ben Sonders, holly HELL that guy jacked dude up.. Thats one of the worst lookin foreheads I have ever seen after a fight.. Sad part is Iam sure the swelling is just now throwing down-lol.. Oh and what was up with the ref in the last fight of the night, what a tool bag redneck.. RIPPEN -

Ah your killin me man, making me have to dig-lol... From what I just looked at it looks pretty sweet and very similar to what we got.. I am guessing some of your guys stuff is just a bit taller.. Iam sure in the future there will be plenty of pics and such exchanged.. I finaly have gotten into the habit of getting a fair amount of footage and pics.. Oh and as for Idaho, I have been twice and I agree.. The place is the SHIT! RIPPEN

As ban99 said you may want to contact nitrotate(he did my pc work and did a great job) as he knows his stuff.. I think what your after though is refered to as "jet hot" I think its called.. Made for headers and stuff that has to deal with high heat aplications.. RIPPEN

AHahhahaah! Nice catch, I was just gonna say "huh looks like he carries spark plug wires too"... LMAO RIPPEN

I think the original everything was lost about 5 pages ago..lol I was just tryin to expand on the idea that a properly setup/ported stock cylinder bike can throw down on these types of climbs just as well if not better than what you guys are describing.. I realize that different guys like different setups.. To each his own.. At least you (Pacific) don't come across as quite the know it all.. Shifting gears again here.. Any you climbing boys got any pics or vid to share? RIPPEN

The way you conduct yourself holds more power than what you know when it comes to being labeled here.. I know plenty of great guys that don't know that much about bikes.. Thats what this place is for.. Its the ones who THINK they know it all and act like jerk offs when told otherwise that people don't like... OP, sorry for going a bit off topic.. RIPPEN

To be honest I don't really see what the big debate is.. I think the simple fact that Dave is trying to make is that a stock cyl ported 4mill remotly set up right can run up to what your getting out of a "piped down" cub.. I ride VERY similar stuff to what you guys do.. Thats why I mentioned before you to are not the only ones that climb or climb tight hill shoots.. My F.A.S.T. ported 4mill with CPI's performe great at most whatever I point it at.. Oh and Iam at almost 9,000 ft in elevation rather than sea level. A bike with stock cylinders can be ported to WHAT YOU WANT and you add on the peices to compliment it from there.. You buying a cub and restricting its top end is fine and all but why? I know a local guy here that climbs as much or if not more than I.. He has a 10mill cub with PT mids.. He does some sick climbs and all but the amount he has wrapped up into it, he isn't that much or if any better off than I.. If anything its more uncontrolable and probably lost quite a bit of duning ability as he also runs quite a bit more swinger than I.. I can see if you want it to be simply versitile in the sence you can "pipe it down" for climbs or duning.. But to say you need a cub with T-5s (or something similar) in order to prophicent at climbing couldn't be further from the truth.. I don't have gobs of money to spend or throw at trying all these different set-ups.. I talked to a builder and we decided a ported stock cyl 4mill would provide plenty of power.. To be honest I couldn't imagine how my bike would do in your guys climbs.. At sea level, shit maybe to much power-lol.. I get in and out of the throttle plenty and have very little problems.. The only time I ever really need to clutch it that much is if I screw up or something in my setup(tire psi, jetting, ect) is off.. Even then you throw A LITTLE clutch at it and like a sum bitch she gos.. And you all are killing me with the "hitting so hard you break this that the other" crap.. Come on.lol Your on sand not heated up slicks to VHT.. All sand, even wet heavy sand does have SOME give to it so the tire is gonna spin or put your nose in the air.. Otherwise I have never see anyones bike hit and bite so hard they are breaking shit like you imply.. The set-up you got obviously works for you, just like the guy I know.. Thats awesome.. The point is what your getting/after is just as acheavable out of a properly ported stock cylinder motor as it is out of a restricted cub.. Just cheaper and more straight forward.. Why throw a supercharger on buick and run .5 psi rather than give her a nice tune up? BY nature Cubs ect are a top end cylinder as is CPI's /Shearers ect a top end pipe.. Thats why I said I don't realize what the debate is.. Your putting lowend pipes on a top end cylinder and saying its the only setup to have for yor type of riding.. Its not.. As mentioned before I would love to come out there.. Be happy to climb anything you try.. Pacific NW, you seem like a decent guy.. Maybe on your part it was a misunderstanding about the 80 on stock cyl. I was refering to 4mill as stock stroke would be a bit more radical and difficult-lol.. If I ever make it out your way man ill be hitting you up for sure to show me around.. Iam actually stoked to see some other guys on here that climb some similar stuff to what my crew does.. BUT Wiz I don't know man.. Like someone else mentioned you come across as a prick and a arrogant one at that.. I had seen that not long ago when you first started posting.. Maybe when you picked out a name it went to your head, I don't know.. What I do know though is Dave is one smart bastard when it comes to these things, its been proven as he has helped more folks on this site than most anyone else.. Iam not sure if you guys simply don't read what he is writing clearly or what.. But what the guy is saying is pretty basic and straight forward.. I don't know, in the end I look forward to chatting with you fellas about climbing.. But Ill tell ya, never underestimate a well set-up stock cylinder bike vs something like what you guys are running. It may suprise you.. RIPPEN

Move it to the trash can.. Thats where mine ended up.. RIPPEN -
I would love to come out to Oregon one day for these climbs.. Actually if I had a choice of any place to go thats where would be it.. Hell Id even try out my 4mill stock cylinder CPI setup out there... Don't act like you two are the only ones that climb steep hill shoots.. Oregon isn't the only place that has them.. Oh and if you seriously think that stock cylinders are not capable of 80hp you need to do some research... RIPPEN

Got My CPI Inframes Today Not Impressed at all!
RIPPEN replied to ICULOKN's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
It seems CPI's are kinda like gambling.. The pair I got were in great condition, have held up nice but were a bit of a bear to install.. The biggest thing I have seen with peoples stingers on CPI's is they allot of the time are uneven.. To turn people away from CPI I think is a bit excessive as they are a great performing/sounding pipe.. I think if the shit aint right make sure THEY make it right.. I have heard they are decent to work with.. RIPPEN -
Not a bad idea, havn't ever looked into that... Have to be gripper though-lol After riding this thing with gripper seat I don't know that I could ever go without now.. Thanks for the compliments fellas! RIPPEN

Breath in through your nose and blow out through a straw.. Answere your question-lol T-5s will work but it will deffinatly take the performance outta the top end.. The Cpis are fine for a drag port but still not optimal if your looking for lots of top-end.. Allot of guys prefer the Shearer pipes cause they pull forever but I realize those probably dont fall into the sleeper catagory..lol RIPPEN

If your looking for just a bit more bottom end and your stock gearing now (14/41 I THINK) then I would maybe jump up to a 43-44 in the rear.. Thats basicly gonna be the same as dropping one tooth in the front.. I hear though that a 13t up front can be a little bit harder on chains so thats why I mess with the rear more.. Also I say 2-3 teath because only going one tooth probably wouldn't be even noticeable.. As far as tire goes I have always been a fan of skat track haulers.. However if your not looking to climb or drag to much I know allot of people that have been happy with something like sand skates or a v-paddle of some sort.. Otherwise I think somethin like 8 paddle hauler maybe a decent choice which would maybe leave ya a tad bit of room to grow.. Like I said though Iam pretty Hauler biased as I mostly climb. Iam sure some others will be through that maybe can tell ya more about the v-blade type.. RIPPEN

I have tried everything from a cut off wheel to a sawzall to a hacksaw.. The tool we found to work best was a jigsaw with "medium" tooth blade.. Clears out well but doesnt take out chunks.. We find our lines with masking tape using the inner edge as our cut line.. Helps to visualize a little bit.. After cutting them sanding them make them look perfect.. I did mine right before re-doing my plastics with that plastic renew kit wich worked out well cause I had to do some sanding anyway.. Right before wet sandin the paint.. On.. RIPPEN

My friend, we are gonna need quite a bit more info to try and answere this question.. Like, mods of the bike, kind of tire and size of tire, rider weight, what kinda riding(hillclimbs, drag, casual duning).. Even with all this info there will be a mix of recomemdations but should help get you close.. RIPPEN

Its seriously kickass to see guys on here from so far away! Welcome Rob and when you gonna hook us up with some pics or video? I think its badass to see other parts of the world. Again, welcome man... I think there is another guy or two from Perth now that I think about it.. RIPPEN

Ill tell you if I were to be in your situation I would hit Tim up also.. Some of the stuff he does looks SICK and very clean.. Straight forward guy and like he said I bet it would be just as good of a product as the "big guys" but at a fraction of the cost.. RIPPEN
