  1. Just wondering if any of you guys are near Greenville north carolina or Raleigh or even Elizabeth city. I live 1 hour from above mentioned except for Raleigh which is about 2 hours away. I was wondering if anyone has been down to this place http://bigdawgoffroad.com/raceinfo.html near Greenville. I think Im gonna go up their this weekend and see whats crakin.
  2. Damn $250, what the fuck. I shipped a 500 zilla engine that I had which was the biggest and that only cost 80 from north carolina to missouri. I usually package it in a rubbermade box with cardboard 3 inches thick on all sides. And I usually rap the engine in bubble rap. Then I screw the top on with self tapping screws. I might start shipping with usps though.
  3. Thats cool that you build houses. I have an associates degree in Architectural Technology. I basically know how to use AUTO CAD to design houses among other things.
  4. Yeah. I will start at 9.50 an hour with full time benefits, medical and dental. You get a 50 cent raise every year I think and once you start driving your pay goes up to 17 dollars an hour I think. The guy that dilevers stuff my way has been with them for 30 years and I know that he is make probrably like 28-32 dollars and hour.
  5. If any of you guys work for UPS let me know because I think I start work next week as a preloader from 4am to 9am. Just curious as to how you like the job and how long it could take to get a driving position
  6. Yep. Sredish is right like always. I did the same thing last week just experimenting and man it ran like crap. Temperature and airflow make a hell of a difference on how a bike will run.
  7. what abou the rear shock getting revalved. Would that be a good start.
  8. I was riding with these guys sunday and one of them happend to have a track he made with a 3ft high jump on it. Anyways I got nerve to hit it and I jumped about 30 feet and 5-6 ft in the air and it felt good. The landing didn't feel hard but when I stoped they said everytime my bike landed it sounded like it was hitting really hard. They said it was like "thump". Could this be my stock shocks bottoming out. Anyways need advice as to what setup would be good for a fast trail bike but with the mx capabilites. I will get videos of the track and us hitting the jump next time I have off work.
  9. So are you trying to just trade your rear hubs for stock hubs or what.
  10. Here are some tips and steps to follow. 1. First put bike in gear and then remove foot peg, shifter, and side cover. 2. Next you will have a nut in the center of the flywheel to take off. If you do this by hand then you will need a special flywheel holder or clutch holder tool to keep the engine from turning over. The best thing to do is to take an impact wrench with a 17mm deep socket and take off the nut. With the impact the engine will most likely not turn over. However it is good to have someone hold the rear brake down too. 3. Now you will take the flywheel puller tool and nothing else to take off the flywheel. It has left hand threads so left loosy, righty tighty don't apply to this part in the process. After you thread it in make sure it bottoms out and then take the center bolt that screws in through the puller and tighten it. Again the impact will come in handy with this too. It will save you time and energy. Then the flywheel should come right off. 4. Now take off the stator and then you will see the stock timing plate. 5. Take the stock timing plate off and put the new plate on and set it to your desired timing mark. Make sure you set it according though. You set it according to the center crack in the cases. It goes right through the middle of the crankshaft. 6. Now when I installed my ricky stator timing plate I had a little problem with it sliding into place. They are made to fit tight. You may want to grind down the outer edges some but that is up to your descresion. 7. Then just reinstall everything and make sure you tight everything good. A few good hits with the impact on the flywheel nut will do the trick to get it tight. 8. Then you will be ready to go.
  11. First off I would try and lose some fat like you said. Follow what everyone else said about eating less. I disagree on a diet though. I think that you should eat the same foods just a lot less of them. And eat like 6 small meals a day. Make sure you eat a good breakfast because that helps raise your metabolism. Start small with weights. When I first started lifting in 7th grade I could only bench like 125. Now I can bench 275 and I only wiegh 150. Building muscles takes time and hard work. So set realistic goals and don't get down if you miss them.
  12. Sounds like you got a good selection on mods. I wouldn't get an aftermarket cdi though if you are going to advance the timing. I just got vforce2's and they helped a lot. I would go with them because they are a little cheaper and I think that they are just as good as the 3's. Get your flywheel lightened by boonman while you advance your timing, and might as well get the shiftstar mod too. I just did all the above and they helped alot. As far as domes I don't understand your question. I live at sea level too and these are some things you should consider. Do you want to run pump or race gas, or 50/50? Depending on how far you advance your timing will have a bearing on this too. dlnoss told be that with the +4 timing I could possibly get away with 21cc without cutting the gas. Anything lower I would have to cut or run straight race fuel.
  13. Yeah that is new plugs. I had 280 and it ran pretty good but last week I went up to 290 so I guess 280 will be alright. Im at sea level.
  14. I just did a plug chop for the first time and I don't know if I did it correctly but here is the picture of one of my plugs. Am I too lean or what.
  15. How much down time would it be if I sent my motor off to get a 12 port kit with 4 mill stroker crank.
  16. I live in north carolina and would like to take a day and all my bike to get them dynoed and tuned up to their full potential. Do any of you guys know of anywhere near where I live or a way to find a place that has a dyno.
  17. Well you could be spinning really bad coming out of the hole in first. When you shift to second the tire speed is probrably starting to slow down with the engine because of your gearing and setup. When your tires start to spin really fast and hard then slow down rapidly, you can feel your bikes rpms drop.
  18. Get it man. I just got my flywheel lightened by boonman as well as my shift star last week and what a difference . It revs so fast and smooth. One thing I really like is now I can wheelie all day long and through all the gears. The throttle response is amazing after the flywheel has been lightened.
  19. You seem to really praise those knarly's. You know what I think I just might get me some. Ive seen some of your videos and I see that you are a man that I don't want to fuck with yet. Your bikes run awesome man. I guess those knarlys will be what Im gonna get. I will come see you with my to drag tecates though. I have a tecate 4 and 3. Both are badass. Im not through building them yet but almost. When I start going to the drags this summer I plan on carrying both. I will put the tecate 4 at the back of the trailer so it will come off first that way if I beat someone then I will tell them if you cant beat this one, how the hell do you think you can beat the other one. Or if I get beat then I will say hold on one second. Then Ill pull off that beast tecate 3. Just messing with you though. Thanks for the tire advice.
