  1. I was in the same position, couple months back- bought the coolhead 18ccs and some boyseen reeds for the stock cages... wouldn't change a thing
  2. Ok, I ordered a adjustable timing plate before these problems started acting up. If that is the problem the advanced timing will spark that octane correct? How far should I advance? I truely think I have a jetting problem.
  3. Before you buy try a tusk clutch! they're like $39! I've heard nothing but good things about them..!
  4. Maybe when you took the head off you looked at it backwards...
  5. Yea, its coke. A little fyi, did you know the syrup in Pepsi & Coke is flammable? I work for fedex, and it requires special handling. Think 'bout that next time ya take a drink
  6. Items on ebay. http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfsooZ1QQfsopZ1...ckhondaQQsojsZ0
  7. I disagree- I think you would notice a bit snappier throttle, and it would run a little better.
  8. Yeah, you most likely broke a piston skirt, or ring. I would quit trying to kick it because it can dig into the cylinder walls and really tear shit up. Get ya a 12mm wrench and pop the tops
  9. Just take a set of pliers to it, no reason other that your wires & engine move alot, kind of unscrews them.
  10. I went to lowes, took a stock bolt in there. They got a neat little bolt sizing chart hanging on the wall. I bought 4 peg bolts for like $2.50. and by the way, otis, lose some weight fatty- you wont have this problem... j/k!
  11. Yea, all thats good. I came across this thread: http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=33173 His stator went bad, and I believe this is my problem, all the symptoms are the same.

  13. '03 Shee 370cc K&N Pods Boyseen PowerReeds CoolHead - 18cc (110 octane) Wiseco ProLites FMF Fatty - PowerCore's I changed from c-12 to 110 leaded Clark gas. Ran shitty. Now I switched back, and also rejetted my carbs, and adjusted clutch. Since then its barely ran. There is a more active thread in the Repairs section of this site. Thanks guys.
  14. Any other ideas?

  16. "A small bottle ,often called "boostbottle", is installed between the carb and the intake port connected with a branch pipe to get the engine to respond quickly from bottom end without flat spots. It saves 10-15% in gas consumption and makes the engine wake up at lower rpm." http://eindiancompanies.com/images/resonator.htm I got one I'll sell ya 20$ shipped.
  17. I'm going to try smaller mains today, only thing is 310's are the smallest I got here, but we'll see if it helps. also, I don't think its a crank seal because it idles half ass, doesn't rev crazy, and the plugs aren't white hot. the plugs are wet. the shit comming out of the pipes is like half ass burned gas oil mix.
  18. yea, I cut out most of the TORS, including my killswitch. I got it all because it ran afterwards. Coil connection is good, compression is good. Starts and idles, it does rev up, but its off key, missfires, pops, no power if you ride it, hits powerband and sounds terrible. Supposed to go riding tomorrow and I have no clue what is going on. There is so much shit comming out of the pipes its dripping out and running down the silencers. Maybe its just that rich? But why would it change all of the sudden?
  19. Ok, I've been thinking for hours, and taken the carbs off close to three times now. Changed all kinds of jets etc.. took the stator cover off, cleaned that all up. Now I was in the shower thinking what stupid things could be wrong that I have not thought of, then it hit me. Could the plug wires being crossed cause a condition like this? I checked compression after changing jets, and took both wires off... I have it in pieces or I would try myself, but If I put it all back together and have to take it apart again, I will
  20. Forgot to add, compression is @ 185psi on both cyl. I'm taking stator cover off now.
  21. Old gas? 110 Clark Leader to new gas? 108 Klotz Race Fuel Old plugs? B9ES to new plugs B8ES Old jetting? 330/30 to new jetting 340/30 *How many turns out were you before on the slow running mixture screw? And now? Before I was 1/2 turn out, now I've tried everything from 1/2 - 11/2 out. *What mixture ratio are you on? 40:1 *Your mods in your profile say 110 gas and 17cc domes. .... Any port work done? *What altitude are you at? I got 18cc, I'm @ 500ft, no port work, its not detenation, I'm thinking something with the stator. Maybe crank seal- althrough I just replaced both crank seals!? I also adjusted the floats in the carbs, so the line is level with the base of the carb... I had it a little low, I haven't tried since then because I'm going to clean out the carbs real good. Also, it had this problem with the old jetting & old plugs. So I would count that out. Plugs are almost like they are brand new still, even though it ran for 5 min or so.
  22. Ok, my shee has ran good most of this winter, I tried this new gas, and messed with the air screw a bit cause it was warmer, well it started missing in the topend. So I jetted up, and got a different gas, and some new plugs(B8ES). Now it will idle for a bit, but when you rev is misses real bad, wont reach the powerband or nothing. Its terrible. I have 340 mains in it right now, and 30 pilots. I'm starting to think its something with the electrical, not positive. Its impossible to do a plug check although I did let it run for about 5 min, revving periodically, I pulled the plug and it was spotless, a dab of oil on each bridge of the plug. Also, its spitting hella oil out of the pipes. Any ideas please, please, please post!
