  1. actually I haven't left the garage since rebuild, after a couple 20 min break ins, and riding around the yard, I took it out and gave it a hell of a break in. I raced a 95 CBR 600. I must say I held my own, until about end of 5 gear I had him... amazing power difference in running 113octane (the 20 extra cc's, & 185psi compression) probably help out too . I rode for about 2 hours today, light at first, then warmed it up and gave it hell. I think the prolites feel alot better than the vito's. With the Vito's SuperStock's the powerband was like a lightswitch, either on or off. the prolites even out the powerband, and it feels VERY nice now. Rode for about 2 hours, hopped off of it and it idled perfect. It could use a bigger pilot I believe, I'm running it rich on the needle, but I'm going to keep it that way. Very crisp and responsive, 5th gear powerband wheelies, I like! Little late, but I appreciate the simpathy replies... lol ::edit:: also I took air screw only 1/2 a turn out, instead of 1 1/4, helped bottom end alot
  2. 2003 Custom built Shee. My quad was built in 02 using almost all new parts. All bushings, bearings, and seals are new. The engine is from a 99. New crank bearings & seals as of this rebuild. All reciepts and records kept. Below is a parts list off the top of my head: Blue Race cut Meier plastic Dual K&N Pods Coolhead w/ 18cc domes(108+ octane) Bored to a 370cc Boyseen Power Reeds, stock cages Wiseco ProLites FMF Fatty Pipes w/ Powercore II's Fresh top end, 1 hour at most.(+break in) I'm looking to get around $3,500, though price is negotiable.   3. My current mods are listed below, I just upgraded fuel to accomidate the 185psi, I changed to "c-12" or 113 octane. Everything seems ok now, but when I rev sometimes it holds rev for a minute, don't go back to idle, after idling for about 5 min, it will sputter & die, just wondering what my current jetting & airscrew settings should be, its currently main jet: 330, pilot 27.5, air screw 1 1/4 turns out...any help would be appreciated thanks.. :I posted in jetting, no one replies:

  6. I'm going through a detonation problem as we speak, be safe and if you're running 19's stick with 99 octane or higher...
  7. I was using vito's which are shorter than wiseco's, it seems like the tops of the pistons almost touch the head, its very very close....
  8. I started the shee, rev'd fine (Finally) actually Idle'd after I cleaned the carbs... Its got a fresh top end, I started little revs up to about 1/4 throttle, let it sit, it started revving by itself, then stuck full throttle... for like 5 seconds, then jumped about 5 foot and killed itself. Dunno what caused it to rev, dunno what made it jump into first gear (maybe cause I fucked up the shift star modding it...? anything anything you guys can think of, PLEASE HELP! This thing has been nightmare after nightmare with this shee, I dunno whats going on. Im trying to get it running to sell> AN ANSWER...Possibly? I tied a piece of hose to the spark plug wires incase it started the reving again and the kill switches didn't work for some reason... it stuck again, pulled plug wires, it was still reving! And now for the kicker! Something me & all you guys looked over ---- After chatting with my dad, I told him about my domes, and how my wiseco's are taller and my bike makes around 180psi of compression. He said "desiel's fire from shear compression, no spark, sure its not firing just from high compression?" and thats when I realized, * higher octane fuel! * I'm usin 99 oct now, must not be high enough, also I noticed when it was running on its own, it had a very weird sound, no pinging in the pipes, just a buzz sound, very weird. that must be because the explosion wasn't the same as with a spark plug! HA! I have yet to test this theory with 110 or 115 octane, because I'm thinking about changing domes to 20's... tell me what you guys think

  11. I'll use an easy out... I think there was a typo in a post, 20$ a bolt? wtf. I'll goto lowes and get it for 20cents.. I just had the seals replaced on the crank, by a reputable(sp) guy.

  13. Yet another great occurance happened to me today! Loosining the spring bolts, one snaps off inside the clutch case, yay. Any ideas on getting it out?

  15. Thanks, its wierd... I looked in clymers, it says to refer to table 3.. in table three it only lists: Right Hand Side Case: 7ft/lbs didn't know if it was the same, thanks.

Don't be a kiss ass, try not giving it to her, she'll wonder more about you. Quit with the romantic bullshit, being friends and whatnot. This isn't the 80's. If you don't get noticed you don't have a chance. Sit at her table @ lunch. Stuff like that... p.s. Don't start telling everyone in school you like her, cause she'll think you're psycho, you don't even know her. p.s.s. I was hooked up with a girl in high school that was considered a whore, I just hooked up to have sex...   18. The plastic on my throttle cable is broke, which could cause a throttle to stick, but I don't think thats what caused it to rev like it did. I reved so high that it was a solid "ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ" sound, couldn't even tell the difference between cylinders firing... has to be an airleak. I do compression/air leak test. Make sure it holds the 6 psi for 6 min. Im going to replace the throttle cable. I made sure the shift star is in neutral, dunno what caused it to drop in gear, but after it jumped it was in first. I need the torque specs for the barnett clutch springs. Any info would be appreciated. Anyone interested in a banshee that needs some work shoot me an offer... ';'

  20. Thats the funny part, since it jumped about 4 ft in the garage, then died after it jumped. I tried to kill it I pulled key out and hit the kill switch. Your guess is as good as mine, what should the clutch springs be torqued to? I didn't try to start it after it happened, too frustrated. btw, its an older motor. I had a ring spin and catch the exhaust port, so I had to go 2 over this time.

  22. Update: The ball bearing in the rod was gone... replaced it with a new one. Cleaned carbs, running 330 main jets, air screws were 1 1/2 turns out.. Well, I did the shift star mod, and put everything back together, but for some reason, my clutch level goes all the way to the bars w/o any tension. What could cause this? I can fire it up and everything, except I have no clutch.. any ideas? Also, I have the mods listed in my sig, any ideas on what the following settings should be: Air screw TORS Idle Screw Jetting Main & Pilot Needle Clip Thanks.
