  1. Ok, my shee has ran good most of this winter, I tried this new gas, and messed with the air screw a bit cause it was warmer, well it started missing in the topend. So I jetted up, and got a different gas, and some new plugs(B8ES). Now it will idle for a bit, but when you rev is misses real bad, wont reach the powerband or nothing. Its terrible. I have 340 mains in it right now, and 30 pilots. I'm starting to think its something with the electrical, not positive. Its impossible to do a plug check although I did let it run for about 5 min, revving periodically, I pulled the plug and it was spotless, a dab of oil on each bridge of the plug. Also, its spitting hella oil out of the pipes. Any ideas please, please, please post!
  2. I got: AC Nerfbar set, decent shape, black nets - make offer or trade Skid plates, frame & A arms, needs some bolts, keeping swing plate - make offer or trade Stock head, needs milled comes with gasket, - make offer Forgot to add I also have a brand new Brass Eagle Avenger, its anodized red, not a scratch on it, hopper, full bottle of 500 paintballs, mask with the tag still on it, and 2 co2 tanks, one 9oz, one 12oz, barrel squeegee & plug - 80$ shipped. My aim is "Switchaim", its always on if you want to contact, can get pics.
  3. '03 Shee 370cc K&N Pods Boyseen PowerReeds CoolHead - 18cc (110 octane) Wiseco ProLites FMF Fatty - PowerCore's I'm @ 500ft elevation. I was running 330 mains, 30 pilots, and airscrew 1/2 out and needle clip 2nd from bottom, it was running good. I changed fuel from c-12 (40:1) to 110 leaded pump(32:1). Then all the sudden it started popping in the powerband. I switched to 350 mains, raised the needle 1 clip, and it just plain shitty, popped, no power, couldn't even hit the powerband. I switched to a 320 and it was the same. I was wondering if the 32:1 was too rich with the lead? I know c-12's leaded also, but I was told c-12 has around 1 gram/gal and most other 110+ octane have close to 15-30 grams. I'm sure this "Clark 110 Race" is more towards the 30 mark. I'm going to run c-12 tomorrow to see how it does. If someone could maybe give a jet range/needle position.. I would appreciate it.
  4. Looks solid to me, I also like how the head nuts will tighten below the head surface so you don't bang the studs with wrenches taking out the plugs.. but noss's has that too. I got CoolHead so I got denied.. ;\
  5. could you link to the bearing washer mod plz? or explain it?
  6. I just noticed when reading my Clymers Manual that when I put my clutch back together I put the ball & pushrod in backwards, ball first, pushrod second. The clutch still works ok, but I'm adjusting the clutch lever, and the release lever on the cases. I was just wondering if this could cause a problem later on, or if I should take it all back apart and fix it. Thanks
  7. Update: After running the 110 leaded from the Clark station I've went through about 1/2 tank mixed with yamalube @ 32:1. It is terrible. After sitting for about 4-5 days The shee will no longer hold an idle, and it spits and sputters in the powerband until it is warmed up. I believe the carbs are getting clogged, or possible the extreme lead in it makes it really rich. I'm doing plug checks and finding a rich plug reading, while its spitting and not hitting powerband so I dunno. I'm switching back to c-12. I was also told by the place I buy my c-12 from that it has only a few grams of lead/gal. Other fuels have up to 15-20 grams/gal. Just thought I'd update ya guys...
  8. Anyone tried these on their plastics? I have meier plastics, and I'm going to paint. I need heavy duty shit, figured this would work, and they got the color I want..thanks.
  9. I'm not a sled person, partly because it barely snows enough here, other part is because I would be in a full body cast the rest of the year.
  10. I'd try 260 mains, 27.5 pilots... where you located?
  11. its very true, i've ran every vito's piston short of the big bore...lol. SuperStock if your going vito's. But you being ported already I dunno. I got these with stock porting, noticable difference, but the weight i believe slacked low end. Power Pistons were shorter I noticed, powerband was like a lightswitch either on or off. Both held up great, those keystone wrings are the shit... but I got Wiseco ProLites this rebuild, I must say, I forgot how nice it was to have my shee rev up so fast. Wiseco <3. Btw, I heard Wiseco don't make Vito's shit anymore, someone second me on that.
  12. you ppl are traitors. I've raced a pipe'd & jetted one, and I was not impressed considers 5700 for the bike plus another 500 for pipe & jetting. 6200 and I paid 3500 for mine. I raced a stock one, not even close. The ppl that were riding them have been riding for years, so I dunno. I'm not bragging, my shee is by far fast compared to most of your guys's bikes. Are you saying they're plain fast for a four stroke? I'm just not seeing it, sry. you guys must be racing hella mod'd ones. - nuff said.
  13. I don't understand this shit, you guys are talking like 450's are crazy fast. My mods are in my profile and I've walked on pretty much everyone i've come across. Off the line they're there I get them by at least 5 quads... i dun understand. I'll get some videos of how to do it...lol.
  14. a 900cc two stroke imagine the power that would make...
  15. You didn't by chance get that off ebay for 172.00 did ya? if so I was bidding on that too.
  16. What size tires you got? Maybe you should gear up a tooth? You're sole mission shouldn't be to beat this one quad, but if top end is what you need, go up a tooth in front. You're ported so you shouldn't have a problem with this As far as going with the smaller domes, I have 18cc, @ 500ft. I love them. You can run 18cc's but it'll put you @ about 185psi. People keep telling me about the crank issues that can happen. BUT, if your willing to take a risk there's a reward, the shee loves it, you already run race gas.. so you should be good2go.
  17. I would start with a 360, keep needle @ 2nd clip. VForce's wont make it that rich. You're probably going to have to play with the air screw, but I would start it @ 3/4 to 1 turn out, thats what I would tune the main jet size with. No reason why you shouldn't pwn that 450! Make us proud..
  18. jetting is key here. anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but here goes. Why is your airscrew turned all the way in? I'm pretty sure that sucks pure fuel, and little air, which would mean you need to jet up. I'm running 330's and I'm lean still. I would size your main jet up to around 350 maybe more since your ported, turn your airscrew out about 3/4 and you should fly. Pilot isn't going to matter in a race unless your bogging and the low end of the gear.
  19. Thx for the reply, but I run dual pods, no airbox.
  20. I just put my clutch back together, and adjusted the bolt on the clutch in, btw it didn't help. Anyway, Its about 30degrees here, i had my air screw @ 1 turn out, and it ran great @ around 55-60 degrees. Now it was spitting and shit in the powerband, so I turned it down to 1/2 turn out, and it ran a little better, this mean I have to jet up?
  21. Im sorry but neither of these mods will produce any difference, i don't believe its even been proven, besides theory. Not to sound like a dick or anything, but I would really not worry about this, unless your taking off excessive amounts.
  22. Goto the thread I made about IL riders.. don't gotta be the badlands, but I just want to get all you guys together.. ride, race and party! but seriously I got like 3 ppl around here I ride with, they barely ever go and it gets pretty boring, I want to ride!!! Astoria is nothern il I believe... I think they call it "Brushy Ridge". My girl's dad said its pretty nice place too ride, but all the pics I keep seeing it looks really muddy and alot of water. My shee don't like water... I heard they got some nice hillclimbs though...
  23. Mine are also leaking, except from where the float bowl meets the carb, any idea?
  24. Banshee man, I put a thread on here earlier this year about a scenerio like that. Thats caused by low octane fuel and high compression. The compression of the air gas mixture actually detonates itself, therefor no longer needing spark. Switch to good shell or quality 93 octane gas, if this don't work...look into race fuel, 108+ octane. btw, the revving it was doing wasn't actually rpm's. it just sounds like it. it was only turning about the same rpm as idle turns, the sound was just alot different. =)
  25. I'm thinking about just getting my crank welded, how high of compression is the stock rods/bearings good for after the stocker is welded? I'm running 185, which isn't extreme, but I want to be safe...
