  3. What happened to your shee? :x
  4. Please be in a state that touches IL. I dont really wanna go no further than that. Im looking for a decent banshee below 3k$. Post anything you got.
  5. Check PMs/Email
  6. Red, do you have an instant messenger? I gotta chat with ya about a few things. Its not about splitting cases or anything, but about the looks of those pistons. I don't want to get this thread completely off topic so pm me a screen name if ya got... or an email.
  7. Actually, do not attempt without a fly wheel puller. Or you will bend things. They're like 10-15$ plus if you don't like where you set the timing plate, you can quickly change with a flywheel puller.
  8. Do both, because chances are you're going to need a bore from all the shit that blew off your piston, also I'd clean the bottom end out as much as possible when you got the top end off.. If it didn't idle, part of that could be because of the airleak or possibly your pilot jets were wrong, maybe your carb sync's were set wrong... there's a few things that could cause that. I'd get a fresh bore, order a new top end, clean the bottom end out(drain oil and use your gas/oil mix that you put in the gas tank to clean out the bottom end, then drain that as much as possible mix out of your cases). I'd also fill with oil, drain again, and fill with a good lower end oil. After you get the top end on, I'd worry about getting an idle, then leaks, then its time to ride again!
  9. Quick warning on the twist throttle: It will take awhile to get used to, and it isn't exactly for trail riding. I had a motion pro, good part, but I disliked the twist.
  10. Someone correct me if i'm wrong. I'm going to say the impeller had nothing to do with your piston, but you would have melted it anyway without coolant circulating. I'm going to say you're better off getting the whole in your piston then having a melt down. The whole in the piston had to be caused by an airleak, or lean conidition as fast said. when you throw another top end on, double check all areas in the intake, fire it up let it idle and spray carb cleaner around all seals on the top end, if you hear it rev up, then you found your airleak, make sure you didn't forget a gasket somewhere... goodluck.
  11. I'm watching a bike on ebay, if it goes over a certain price then I'm going to buy a frame and build the way I want. I don't see it getting done anytime soon but thats ok. I'll just buy parts as I can afford them, etc. Just wondering if you guys had any tips for a ground up bike build. I'm estimating $4-5k total, I'm going to make a wish list though and see the rough estimate.
