  1. i think thats the other way around, you get more for parting bikes out. selling your bike as a whole your losing money because you payed for the quad, and the parts, and the value goes down because its used, so your getting less than what you payed for. its hard to sell a highly moded bike anyways because not everyone has money to drop on a fully loaded quad. i would rather go pickup a cheap banshee and then turn it around into nice machine.
  2. you could have jim do some light porting, so in the future u can still be able to get the 12 port with the same cylinders.
  3. http://adcache.atvtraderonline.com/5/1/6/79113316.htm found it while lookin around at banshees the other day
  4. they come on very high in the rpms and have alot of over rev.
  5. these are dg's, they dont look anything like his pipes.
  6. pretty funny, but: On May-26-05 at 10:06:21 PDT, seller added the following information: I am listing this quad for my brother and i made a mistake by listing it as a twin turbo. I thought the twin cyl was twin turbo and it's not.
  7. whats wrong with the dynojet needles?
  8. well shearer will be good for stock if you mostly drag, and even better on a modified motor.
  9. but do they have the same torque down low? because that's what makes the pt mids good down low, their torque.
  10. if u only dune, they would be alright on a stock motor, but they are very peaky. if u ride trails , i wouldnt recommend them on a stock motor.
  11. thanks for the info guys. i think ill go with the mids, and when i go stroker, some high revs. anyone know how the torque is with the high revs on a stock motor?
  12. any progress whitney?
  13. yeah really. just call fmf and see if they will ship u a single pipe iif only 1 is cracked, they should be able to do it. just tell him to port it and bore it, then get all the stuff and take it home, u can do it yourself and save a load of money. dont get the cpi's, makes no sense if u run mx like gimmeabeer said. with that money u can get alot more stuff, dont waste 2000 on a top end rebuild and a new crank man, just a word of advice.
  14. i like that response .how was the power up top with the mids. how were the high revs with the motor, power down low? would you prefer mids or the high revs with the motor. how much was the port job alone?
  15. do u think u could get some top end with midrage or mid to top port? i know duncan offers a midrange port but it costs like 500 bucks.
  16. ahhrm www.fast-forward.us/pulse2.htm
  17. 28's or a 2 in 1 wont do it, 4mm's like fuel. i suggest 34mm pj's.
  18. damn how do you keep those pipes from rusting?
  19. i think the metal most people use is called 4130 chromoly
  20. how was it out there? im going to head out their this summer with a group of people.
  21. well i did some searching about pt mids on the forum because i'm really interested in the pipe for when i get a banshee (hopefully this year). had a couple of questions hopefully people with them could answer. can you run stock silencers on them? i was thinking about buying just the pipes chromed, and getting silencers later, save a couple bucks. how's the top end? about what rpm do they rev out? is it possible to get them to rev out higher with some mods or specific porting (woods,mx,dune)? and a question for the pt high revs. i know they only slightly alter the curve and rev out a tad higher, but do they maintain the same torque as the mids and power for the woods? Edit/ also do these pipes work good with a +4 stroker or a 12 port stroker
  22. , uh, i really dont think u can find them. valve has been really craking down on cd keys and such for hl2. i just went out and bought my hl2, 50 bucks.
  23. you could just give her 250r geometry
