  1. damn thats pretty good for having no pipes man, i wish u had some video too tho
  2. thanks for the info again guys. ill probly end up gettin some elkas and upgrading to rezzys later
  3. the best thing you could possibly do next is porting, after that, then go with bolt ons. I hear sst's dont respond well with porting, kind of like t6's. might want to invest is some different pipes if u get porting done, maybe fatty's or pc's. almost any pipe on the market will perform awsome with the right porting.
  4. its open year round man. my friend has a 03 shee with a red sticker, and thats like the only place he goes when he cant ride the trails at the certain time of the year.
  5. going up on the rear sprocket and going down on the front sprocket losses top end speed. going down on the rear sprocket and going up on the front sprocket increases top end. the reason your are shifting more is because the 13 front sprocket has shortened your gears. i say try stock gearing (14/41) or 14/40 .
  6. i say do a rz350 or cr500 motor swap.
  7. Man I would do the f'kin works with 20 grand!: midrange/mx port, nosshead, v-force 2 reeds, pro flow k&n filter, 33pwk carbs, LONG TRAVEL WITH ELKAS ALL AROUND!, new clutch , 5gallon IMS tank, ricky stator lights, -1 swinger, oversized radiator, steel braided brake lines all around, anti vibe steering stem, and a nice desert seat.
  8. nosshead, lightened flywheel. i say to get rid of all the trouble of going through little mods to get you bottom end that you wont get with the toomeys, get another set of pipes.
  9. i hear full flight arms are crap, you shouldnt of bought them. measure the length of your shocks, should be about 14 inches.
  10. their's been a couple of topics on this already, hit the search button
  11. haulin ass no matter what, 3/4 to WOT in the trails.
  12. im assuming elkas are better than works then. how much did you pay for your piggybacks PTT? im looking into recreational dual rate elkas w/o rezzys, anyone know a price?
  13. whats the difference between tripple rate and dual rate front shocks? I'm hearing that dual rate shocks are better for mx, but thats it. what would be better for recreational trail riding. what are the advantages/disadvantages of each.

    yfz shocks

well your best bet would be the yfz shocks. like I said only minor modification is needed for them to fit. they are well worth it.

    yfz shocks

they wont bolt direclty on but will work with some modification. you have to grind a little of the bottom of the shocks and I think grind the shock mounts a little. they are well worth it for a quick suspension fix, unless you want to go all out and get some works or elkas.
  16. i shouldve went to go see that movie, instead I went to go see star wars 3. you know that movie was long and boring because by the time it ended, people were still sitting in there seats snoring and waking up, it was hilarious. batman begins is next on my list to see.
  17. get some pipes, an air filter, run a taller front sprocket, then get the boon tune: milled head, lightened flywheel, shift star mod. pm boonman
  18. thats the kind of dyno I was looking for, but what kind of motor are those reeds tested on. some reeds work better for different setups. i would of loved to see that info on a stock or piped shee, it looks that bike is highly modified.
  19. damn deadop your lucky. anyway, ill have to talk to him and convince him to do a rebuild before his engine gives, and then get a nosshead to top it off. after 3-5 years hes talking to me trying to get more power, and I think he should rebuild before he does engine mods. thanks for the help though guys.
  20. i personally think they look better, and it does give them a louder sound. the smaller and shorter the silencer, the louder the sound.
  21. ok, my uncle has had his banshee for around 3-5 years and has never done a rebuild. i can tell his compression is real low because it takes a shitload of kicks to start, and I keep telling him he needs to rebuild it, but he doesnt listen. im telling him it should start in 1-2 kicks, and doesnt believe that. would a nosshead help raise his compression, or would a rebuilt be best? he just has an air filter an pipes. also, is boring nessecary when you rebuild? or can u just replace the pistons/gaskets/etc.
  22. im glad someone agrees. fattys, pt mids, dmc's, or pc's would be good pipes for the trails/mx, just depends on what type of power curve you want. fattys are good all around. pt mids are more of a low-mid pipe and produce alot of torque, best midrange twin pipe on the market. dmc's are also good for the trails too, with a decent price. i would say dmc's power is comparable to pt mids. pc's are also a good all around pipe too. i can speak for fattys because i've rode a shee with fattys before, real good pipe. theirs other people on the forums who can tell u about the other pipes.
  23. ok thanks
  24. i still say i wouldnt go with t5's for the trails. you want a smooth powerband in the trails/mx, something more controlable, not wheel spinning when u hit the powerband. yeah those mods might help it out but why go through all the trouble when it can be solved with getting some midrange pipes. maybe he's got a certain amount of cash to spend, and if so i'd rather get it right the first time.
  25. i think it could be possible. but I dont think the gas tank plastic would fit. some people put boiling water in their 5gal tanks to soften them and then blow it with compressed air to get around 6 gallons.
