YFZ seems better to me. Newer frame, newer technology, better metals, etc. Ody frames would be prone to rust and the abuse of time. Also might be harder/more expensive to find. good luck though!

whats the stock hp of a 98 shee?
BigRed350x replied to oldschool98's topic in General Banshee Discussion
How much HP will I have if I stick my mouth over my pipes when I ride? What about if I hook the exhaust up to the intake, will it be like a super uuber supercharger? -
You are more than likely getting the interference from the coil that is up under the front cowling. Its like putting a magnet next to your monitor... you will just have to find somewhere else to mount the camera...

CPI or ROCKET? Im gunna buy and need opinions
BigRed350x replied to nickxc's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I posted that EXACT same question a while back. Go search for it and look at what people told me.... -
Whats the biggest displacement you have seen on a twin-cylinder banshee. stroker, longrod, bore, sleeved, whatever. Not including the triple cylinder ones.

guess he didn't know the stove has a LOW setting...

Another LAUGH at a honda fan
BigRed350x replied to sheerider4life's topic in General Banshee Discussion
shiiiiit, I will race him on my warrior. I can beat any banshee ever made on my warrior with a cam, pipe, and valves, etc. My shit is so much faster than like... any she ever made. -
Uh dude, that link has been floating around the HQ for like months now.

i have a set of 22" maxxis razrs that I toss between my 350x and the shee. 22" rear tires with a 13x40 runs fine for me on hardpack dirt roads and hay fields. tends to bog down a little if you do any kind of long hill climb. I run a 20" paddle in the sand with the same gearing and love it. i don't do many races or that kinda thing, I just do short steep hills at walden, so the lower gearing is good for what I do. more power.

Shit happens, thats life, get used to it. Locking up all the "crazy" people won't do jack shit, because there will always be the ones that you think are the nice guy next door that no one expects to do that stuff who will. Whoever did it probably felt that he was right in taking that action, so even if they do catch him, chances are he won't see anything wrong with what he did.

I rode a friends banshee that had a 4mm stroker kit and was bored 70 over. It was something right around 400cc and had a crazy bottom end for a banshee, and when you got on the pipe it was nutz.

I run a set of old old answer silencers and have found a way to nig-rig them to just about every pipe I own. They are quiet 95db and I don't notice any loss of power between those and the silencers that came with my sst's. Maybe a little tiny bit, but nothing I am going to sit around and bitch about for the noise level.

I love how in that game you can come off an 200ft jump like nose into the landing and as long as your have your weight shifted to the back nothing happens. lol I also like how you can save shit that in real life you would be soooooooooo fucked on. I just wish you could pop it up on two wheels and ride it sideways like in real life. That would be sweet. I would ride sideways off jumps and shit, and I'm willing to bet you could probably save the landing.

I've never even heard of them. I am in Wyoming, so I get stuff from RockyMountainATV like the day after or 2nd day I order it. Never had any problems with them at all. I order all my stuff from them and Vito's and I am very happy with both.

Which pipe do you all prefer for sand dunes. I ride at walden, CO a lot, and they have some fun hill climbs. I spend almost all of my time down there doing short steep hills. I'm usually on the top end. I've seen shee's down there with CPI but all I ever see them do is drag, never see any of them doing the hill climbs. I also ride my shee around our property a lot. Lots of straight looooong roads. Like 6th gear for 15-20min at a time kinda long. I have a set of SST's for one shee, but only have stockers for the other, so I am looking for a set of pipes for the other one. Sorry to post the "what pipe is best for me" question... I guess I am asking more about what your experiences are with these two types? I am looking at the CPI in-frame pipes. CPI / Rockets

The smaller tire is more efficient for times when you are in the air a lot, IE motocross/supercross. The smaller tire will give your overall vehicle LESS rotational velocity as a whole. Larger front tire will give you a HIGHER rotational velocity. Since MX riders want to do as little movement and exert as little energy as possible, its easier to maneuver a vehicle in the air with a smaller rotational velocity than one with a higher. Same kind of idea as when you want to nose down in the air, you hit the rear brakes. You are taking energy out of the rear tires and applying it to the entire vehicle, thus forcing the nose down in the same direction of rotation as the rear tires. If you run smaller front tires there is less "spinning" energy on the front of the vehicle, making it easier to maneuver in the air. I feel like the larger tires give me a little better control in the sand, and when I am jumping my shee on my track I will put on both smaller front a rear tires. Rear tires size goes more towards gearing and traction though.

I just got an e-mail from led saying he doesn't have time to post pictures of tawnee stone. I just thought I would share with all of you guys since me & a friend stole some dudes password a few months ago and downloaded all the content from her site. I have every single picture, video, etc from her web site and was going to give to all of you, but can't post pictures for some reason and led won't do it. Thanks anyway Led. Appreciate the help. I am only on dialup connection so I can't really just upload of them all at once, I have to do it in small 5mb pieces or my connection gets dropped for some reason. I suppose if anyone really really wanted them I could burn all of them onto a CD and send them to people if you really want them. Kinda like a Christmas present from BigRed. lol
-
I sent a bunch of them to led to put up. I am waiting on him. I don't know how to upload the pics so I e-mailed him a bunch of them to post.
-
Yes she is 20 this year. I am dial up so it will take me a bit to upload the pics to led. I will be uploading the pics tonight. I just got off work so I am just now starting... 9:30 mountain time.
-
I sent Led an email. I will work with him to post the pics since i don't really know how to do all that.
-
sorry it took me a while, I had class today. I will start a thread in the pics section. I have 3500 pics so it will take a while since I am on dial up. I can send attachments up to 10MB if anyone has a large account, the folder with all the pics is about 400MB. Go check the pics section...

His whole site is for bikes. How much was it to port you banshee top end? Did you get the head work done as well? What all did you get and for what price? Thanks
-
Welcome to the HQ! When are you going to start tossing mods on your new ride????
-
I have about 600 pictures of the girl in my avatar naked. Anyone want some? I got a new girlfriend who isn't really fond of my collection so I am giving it away before I delete all the pics... She doesn't know about the CD case full of CD's hidden on the bottom on my desk drawers. lol I have to make it look like I am getting rid of all the good stuff though.

I know in a lot of the states back east its illegal, but you can still buy Everclear here in Wyoming. Its 190 proof. Two and a half shots of it mixed with some koolaid is one of my personal fav's. The koolaid covers the horrible bite it has, and those two and a half shots get me totally snockered. I love it. One bottle will last me a good 4 or 5 months with only drinking on friday and sat. nights. When we go to the dunes we take two bottles for 6 guys and it gets pretty retarded.
