There are a few screws that are hidden behind the stickers on the bottom. I will tell you as an MCP and MCSE it will void any possible warranty you might have or ever get on your xbox. If it is still covered under warranty I would not recommend doing anything with it because if you open it up and something happens to it, no one will service it. Why do you want to open it up anyway? Oh yeah... you DONT need Torx screwdrivers or any fancy bullshit. Don't listen to people. You can do it with any simple computer repair kit screwdrivers. You MIGHT need a pair of hemistats for lifting out and putting back in some of the smaller screws. And remember when you are working on your xbox to stay grounded. Good Luck

YAMAHA R-1 (its Off The Topic But W/e)
BigRed350x replied to BaNsHEE ELiMiNaToR's topic in General Banshee Discussion
An R1 is too much bike for someone who is getting their first crotch rocket. That is retarded. I had an R6 for my first bike and it spooked me occasionally. For any normal person just doing riding around town an R6 is plenty. -
I use good ol Yama-Lube stuff and mix mine at 20:1 then I go find a tree hugger meeting and just rev the piss out of her on their front door. 32:1 for me most of the time.

I used mine for nitrous. We put wet nozzles on both sides of the bottle, and the increase in pressure inside the bottle would force the nitrous into the reeds. It worked quite well until the front of it cracked. We guessed it was from the heat comming from the top end and the instant cold of the nitrous. Oh well, it worked for that at least.

I had a banshee one time that didn't have any compression at all. None. maybe like 40psi in each. I had my buddy come over and I was like... man it won't start, can you help me out? He kicked that bitch for about 20 minutes and wore a hole in his shoe. then I told him there was no way it would start. I laughed my ass off.

Home Security& Safe room/ Panic room, maxi door?
BigRed350x replied to German Shepherd's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Give me 15 minutes and a dremel and I can get through just about any kind of crap you could put on your door. Screw that, give me my 79 ford with the good ol solid steel bumper and I will drive through your gay ass door. How about moving somewhere that you don't have to worry about shit like that. If you have to reinforce your door to protect your little TV and VCR, that should be a clue to you that you should maybe GET YOUR ASS OUT OF THERE and move somewhere better. -
You dont need any fancy tool to take it apart, a normal common head screwdriver will work. Just get one that will fit across the star and use that. Any normal computer screw driver set will have what you need. There is Nothing fancy about them, I have taken 5 apart and put back together, and put mod chips in 3. They are pretty much a desktop computer in a small black box.

I have a four stroke and a couple banshee's. I would never trade a banshee for anything else. Four Strokes suck in sand.

Holy Shit I want that thing. I wonder what the banshee's he was racing had done?

My digital camera takes some kind of fancy battery and I don't have any around, so sorry about not posting a pic yet. I will post a pic as soon as I get new batteries. The intake basically mounts directly to the reed cage bolts (the four hex head bolts that hold the reed cage in place) with a metal flange that is part of the fabrication. It goes from about a 1.5" tube to the large square of the reed cage in a 1.5" long transition with a gasket that looks like what you get with a reed spacer. To give you all an idea of what it looks like before I get my pics posted, I based the entire design off of the intake manifold from an Arctic Cart Panther 440 snowmobile, I just changed the part where the intake will bolt up to the reed cages, and made it a little longer. - Jared

Well I just finished cleaning up my new intake. My jugs are ported and I have quite a few different carbs to play with on the new setup, so I will let you know what works best for me. I will be using a 40mm Mikuni, 36mm Mikuni, 38mm Mikuni, and a 34mm Mikuni carb. I will get them all jetted right and take all of them out to the dunes for a weekend when I get the new top end put in and will post what worked best for me doing different things.
-
Well I have the 40mm I got for this setup, I have a 36mm Flat slide BSR carb sitting in the garage, and a 38mm a friend offered to me, so I have lots of options for what to use. My design is kinda like the one described above. I don't like the look of the trinity either so mine actually has pieces of pipe shaped tube going from both reed boots back to a Y then a rubber flange where it mounts to the carb. I still have to go through and remove all the endges from the casting pour and smooth out all the "descrepencies" from the mold I made. My 40mm carb needs a cleaning and some new breather hoses. Hopefully some time Sunday morning I will be able to post pics for everyone. Oh yeah... this setup might be used with a nitrous system, so I don't know if that makes any difference with the 40mm carb setup for sredish. Thanks for the input everyone!

I went down to the metal fabrication labs in the engineering building and had them make me a two into one tube for the banshee. I got a 40mm Mikuni carb for it too. I can't wait to get it all put together and jetted. Should be fun. Soon as I get some batteries for my camera I will post a pic.

OK, I stole the intake manifold off an old snowmobile I had behind the garage. It was a 470cc twin, so I stole the carb and the single intake manifold. The carb is an older (mid 80's) mikuni about 38mm. Where would be a good point to start with the jetting? Its going onto a banshee that is bored 80 over, mild port, clamp on K&N, and I will be using the stock pipes on this bike because my SST's are going on another banshee. Whats a good starting point for the jetting?
-
Oh yeah... I'm not too worried about blowing up this particular banshee engine because it is already bored 80 over and I am going to put a 404 big bore kit on it after I burn up these sleeves. I have a +4mm stroker crank to put in it so if the crack goes all to shit, I have a new one chillin in the garage. I am also putting new heads on it after this particular head goes to crap. So knowing that I don't really care about the top end on this one, what do you think? Should I go ahead and try it, or do you think it just plain won't work?

I can't afford to buy one of those CV intake manifolds like trinity sells or anything like it right now. I was wondering if anyone here has ever tried to make their own? I was thinking of some kind of hose comming from the intake boots on the reeds, then into some kind of splitter, then onto the carb, then use clamp on filter where the airbox sits right now. I have the single 36mm carb I will use. Do you think it would work right? I think I will just try and make something and see if it works. Check the jetting & stuff and see if both cylinders are getting equal air/fuel. Do you guys think it will work? Oh yeah, how many sets of plugs do you typically go through when you are first setting up your jetting with new mods? I have all these crazy-ass ideas for shit, but don't know if half of them would even start to work. I want to try and hook up he wet nitrous system I got from a friend. I am thinking of drilling the hole for the nitrous/fuel jet into the side or top of the boost bottle, but I don't know if it would suck the new nitrous/fuel mixture down into the reeds or not. I would think the added pressure in the boost bottle would kinda force the nitrous/fuel mix down into the reeds, but not sure. Or maybe if the rigged intake actualy does work, I could hook up the jets at the Y or right in behind the carb on the reed side of the ghetto-rig intake. What do you all think? And how many plugs do you go through for setting up jetting?

If I get one of those single carb conversion kits, could I use the carb off my 99 warrior for the kit? The carb is a Mikuni 36mm BSR.

I flipped my 350x going about 40mph and went over the bars onto a rock pile, and the quad flipped over behind me and the rear grab bar hit me in the small of my back. Broke a couple bones and cracked two vertibre. My chest protector saved me from having broken ribs & fucked up front side when I hit the rock pile. I always wear mine, has saved me many times. I also ride with guys on dirt bikes a lot and its a necessity with their roost.

You local dealership can test the CDI for free. My dealership here in Laramie, WY tested my CDI. Took like 2 min to do, and they didn't charge me for it.

I live in wyoming and I remember hearing back when they frist tried to ban snowmobiling in yellowstone (wasnt a total ban, but only let like 500 into the park or something like that) there was a restaurant up there that some cool old guy started way back in the day and he had to shut down this place that he built from the ground up because he didn't get any business after the partial ban. His entire winter income was based on snowmobiling up there. I felt pretty bad for him, all because some f*ck tard didn't want the buffalo to get scared by the evil nasty horrible two-stroke exhaust. Those people don't realize that my 500 head of cattle release WAY more toxic gases into the atmosphere than all the two strokes running around yellowstone combined. Don't tell them that, they might ban my cattle. HaHaHa Kerry is a twit. If he is so concerned about bringing jobs into the US why doesn't tell his dog ass wife to bring the 100+ Heinz factories outside the US back here. Start with your wife, then worry about the rest of the country.
-
I can't wait till I get the 4mm stroker put in, then I'm going to go show those damn 4 strokes whats up. lol Happy Halloween all.

We dont need dogs. We just run around and shine lights in the trees down by the river bed. You see a pair of eyes and blow them suckers away!

THAT IS SOME FUCKING BULLSHIT! I will ride WHEN I want, and with however many people I want on my land. I'd like to see some liberal bitch like that show up around my place and try to say that kinda shit. Wow, she should be smacked in the head with a rusty machete. What a bitch.

I NEED A CR500 MOTOR and a 250r rolling chassis
BigRed350x replied to danacurtis's topic in General Banshee Discussion
probably would be easiest to buy both new. Roll Design makes some 250R frames and suspension, and if you know any stealerships you can probably have them order you a crate motor. -
OFG That is the funniest thing I have seen all night. Nice one!
