  3. Yeah perfectly. I have all the tools you listed, and engine mounts would be pretty easy to fab up in a weekend. How/what did you use to line up the sprockets? Trail & error? Did you make your own pipe or did a stock 500 pipe fit with some custom mounts as well? I wanna try it. I've seen your vids and it looks fucking kick ass. Have you found any major problems with the cr500 engine? Anything you regret about doing it?

  6. I have yet to find a quad that will put up a decent fight against a crotch rocket. Besides all out drag bikes anyways. Besides, put a couple grand into a motorcycle and they will go so much faster than a quad....

  8. Seeing as I don't have the slightest clue where you live, I don't know how far it is from you. haha! Cheyenne is about 90 miles north of Denver, CO. I can get some pics on Tuesday. I keep my quads on our ranch outside of town so I will get pics next time I am up there. Should be Tuesday when I go up next.
  9. The guy on the 600 must have been retarded. I used to have an R6 and I have a few banshee's and you would have to have a pretty nice shee to keep up with an R6 with a pipe & filter. I don't know about the cbr's though. Maybe for like the first 100ft you could beat one, but after you wind them out the crotch rocket would pass you like nothing.
  10. I'm wanting to get rid of an 88 I have. J-Arm Frame, Black. Just bought brand new top end, not installed yet. Mild Port job. Pretty much stock other than that. Clamp-On filter inside air box. Right now everything is all taken off the frame, in labled boxes & bags, engine is in a crate with the top end taken off. I can put back together or sell as is. $1000 I will drive up to 100 miles from Cheyenne, WY.
  11. I have two bikes that are bored .080 over and I can only notice a real slight difference on them compared to stock bore. They are bored due to age and use though. 370cc vs 349cc not much diff in performance. After you start adding some other stuff on like pipes, porting, timing, flywheel, reeds, heads, carbs it will be a little bit more noticeable, but still not worth the loss of a couple re-builds.
  12. Bored .080 over, stock head, stock pipes, K&N inside airbox w/ no lid. Mild port. (yeah yeah I know I need new pipes! I want some fatty's but dont have enough money right now. ) Just bought a brand new top end kit and finished rebuilding the bottom end on one of my 88's. Going to put everything back together next weekend. What would be a good range of mains and pilots to buy? I have no idea whats in the carbs right now. I also have the TORS eliminator kit, but don't have the idle screw fix for it yet. Going to get that and a timing advance plate here in the next month or so and probably advance 4

  15. I am in Wyoming. I didn't really understand what you were asking for in that last post. Did you want pics of the port work or what? As for the work involved in a J-arm to A-Arm conversion... if you can weld and are confident in doing your own work it can be as cheap as the price of the conversion kit. If you have someone else do it, it could get a little pricy.

  17. I have two 88 models just sitting behind my barn. I would sell you one of those that would be pre-stripped down. Rolling chassis, and everything else in labled bags & boxes. Radiator, wiring, complete engine in a crate (I could give you specs on whats done to the engine if you want), plastics, seat, gas tank, carbs, everything that came off of it when it ran... for like $1000 You could use that... J-Arm Frame. Good for a drag frame if that's what you are into.
  18. I ran a 15 shot on my bike with porting, and 2 into one carb conversion. Ran pretty good and it sounded sweet when you would hit that shit.

  22. That's why I stick with X and GHB. Out of your system in a few days and doesn't leave any traces. Smoking anything is icky stuff. I have a buddy who smokes a bowl every day and he has passed every test he has had to take. I dunno how though.
