  1. Just get an oxy-acetaline torch and heat that guy up to red hot on each of the mounts and you could bend it back real easy, then just douse it with some room-temp water so you get your strength back. You don't want to use really cold water or you risk it cracking.
  2. I've never heard anything like that. Sounds like he was blowing smoke up your ass. I've never had a clutch slip simply because I changed my oil. I change my oil ever other ride and have never had any problems. Sounds to me like it is time to adjust your clutch.
  3. Here is how I did mine. I have a large gauge hooked up on my bars and it doesn't rattle around. You can actually read my gauge when you are riding, since it wouldn't be moving around like those little meat thermomitors do.
  4. Why don't you just paint the plastics you have?
  5. I have a TTR-230 I would trade, but it isn't worth anywhere near what your bike is. If you were willing to part some stuff out off that shee, I would trade you the TTR-230 for some parts.
  6. Even if they aren't ported, the stock cub porting is supposed to be pretty damn good right off the shelf.
  7. Now don't everyone crowd in all at once over this thing.
  8. Holy Pink Frame Batman!
  9. Get a wire-wheel and start going at them things, then just start doing the whole polish thing.
  10. It goes a little something like this... ping ping ping BOOM!
  11. There are a lot of people on here with Quicksand setups and I hear good things about them.
  12. I fyou are on a budget, use some JB weld. I've even used epoxy on a friends bike when we were out on a ride. Had to scuff up the case a little so it would stick, but its been on there ever since, no problems.
  13. I went riding yesterday and it was -5 where I was at. Had to change the mains up two for that. lol
  14. I ran ATF in my 87 and changed it every time I rode it hard. In my 97 I'm running Castrol GTX with that lucas oil stabilizer stuff and I change that every 2 or 3 rides. I never noticed any difference between the ATF and actual oil. Both run the same.
  15. If you are not too concerned with looks or functionality, go to wal mart and get some little blue lights and just run 1 for high and 1 for low. I did that on my old 87 and that one 55watt light would work better than the two stockers IMO. Pretty funny seeing it running around with 1 light though. ahha
  16. I think the rule is that anything above 150-155 you need to be running race gas. Anything below that and you should be fine with some 93 octane pump gas. I ride at 8000ft plus. There are places out here that sell shit as low as 83 octane and I have seen guys run that stuff in their shee's at that altitude with no problems. I would never do that, but I've seen it done before. With my stock head on at 7200ft I get right around 120psi compression. A cool head with some 18 or 17cc domes will get you up there to where you need to run some 50/50 race gas at this altitude.
  17. I have +2+1 arms on my shee, but I have been putting $$ into the engine so far, not much left over for shocks. Even with stock shocks on those arms, it's way better than stock. Real nice ride. I plan on getting some Elka's when I am done with engine work.
  18. An out of frame drag pipe will give you the best top end. Ask loco about what pipe for that engine.
  19. You can't run those things in the snow we get out here. They just pack full of snow and then you have a spinning snow ball for tread. I just got some Big Meaty 35's for my truck so we will see how those do. They all do about the same in that kinda stuff IMO.
  20. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA This poor kid is probably like... what's so funny?
  21. Rhino on my truck and I have no complaints. 8.1L In your face! Just bought a lift and some 35's for her.
  22. I have a 2005 yamaha TTR-230 trail bike for sale. Only has about 20 or so hours on it. Real clean bike. Bought it thinking my girlfriend would ride it, but she didn't like it, so it's been sitting in the garage since summer time. Has eletric start, manual clutch 6-speed. Mid-size bike. Located in Rock Springs, WY I could deliver/ meet as far as Salt Lake City or Denver. Looking to get $2000 for it. Click here for Official Yamaha Specs Here are two videos of the bike. First one is just a startup and idle, the second is me going down the driveway at my place in rock springs. http://media.putfile.com/TTR-230-Video-1 http://media.putfile.com/TTR-230-Video-2 PM Me if you are interested.
