I am not up on the 450 stuff, but I don't think you can actually make your own prgrams for the Vortex. With a Dyna, I can waddle out to my bike with my laptop, plug into the CDI, and flash in anything I want using their Curve Maker software. You almost need dyno time or some simulation software to be efficient in doing ignition map creation though........... :geek:

Wanna make me one......... (it's cool if you can't if they require a credit card for the reservation). Otherwise I will have my secretary do it tomorrow. :geek:

It now appears that a messed up set of reeds is what got my red bike on Memorial Day. It will be back up and going by this weekend though........... :biggrin:

SoCal is really big on the spark arrestors too, but I never ran one or had any problems with the law when I was there. I know several folks who did and was in a group of folks that got pinched for it. Somehow they missed me and my bike though.......... MI seems to be really weird about Silencers and Spar Arrestors at Silver Lake. I am not sure what they are like elsewhere in MI. :ermm:

I agree with all of that...... Except I run a Dyna without a plate as I have the resources to properly work with the Dyna reprogramming software. :geek:

BenBB, one of the members on here has broken a couple of them, but he desert races pretty hard. I don't think a broken spindle is very common. :geek:

It doesn't have any domes with it. You can buy those anywhere though. :smile:

Me........... The starter geartrain failure came from me getting excited and loading the wrong ignition map into the CDI, which caused a backfire. My red bike piston issue was from an undiagnosed air leak. :biggrin:
