The plate is a pretty shitty design as it is. If you look closely the welds on it are crap. Ti welding isn't that big of deal if you have an atmosphere or a vey good flood setup. Ti machining is a big deal, it is best done on direct drive spindle machines with at least carbide insert tooling. The real crapper about this skid plate is that its not really a proper application for grade 5 Ti. Ti isn't any stiffer than steel, its tougher, which means it would dent as easily as steel, it just wouldn't tear as easily. THe person selling this either had alot of Ti and time on his hands or he has been smoking the weight of that skid plate of crack. If anyone really wants one of these I have a sheet of .060 Ti laying around somewhere.
