I'm surpised none of you geniuses stumbled upon the fact that the 4.6 and 5.4 are the same motor. The only diddefence is a slight bore and and stroke. The varied power figures across the Ford line is due to tuning per application, EPA number fudging, and just plain bellshit to sell cars.

Speaking of calling the kid Frodo. I also have a kid I call Frodo because of this earing he got last spring. The damn thing is a about a 1" dia. hoop. Anyways, he is know knows as Frodo Lord of this Ring. However his previous nickname was "Fingers" on the count that he tried to remove jis finger last winter with a hose cutter. He had to have surgery for ligament damage and everything. I'd make fun of this kid more, but he's actually a good kid. We also have kid that I have nick named "Special Ed," as in "Special Ed" from the show Crank Yankers. I'll tell stories about him later.

I get to see alot of wierd stuff all day long. THe funniest thing that happened recently is that one of our over ambitous students tried to use a parallel bar for a parting tool. Of coarse this is also the kid that couldn't figure out how a diaphragm type carburetor worked, so he some how came to the conclusion that pressurizing the fuel tank was the method my with you throttled it. Needles to say the tank burst and gas went everywhere. He is what is known as a "winner."

That sucks I'm pretty sure that is funny, but then again, I'm already in hell.

The plate is a pretty shitty design as it is. If you look closely the welds on it are crap. Ti welding isn't that big of deal if you have an atmosphere or a vey good flood setup. Ti machining is a big deal, it is best done on direct drive spindle machines with at least carbide insert tooling. The real crapper about this skid plate is that its not really a proper application for grade 5 Ti. Ti isn't any stiffer than steel, its tougher, which means it would dent as easily as steel, it just wouldn't tear as easily. THe person selling this either had alot of Ti and time on his hands or he has been smoking the weight of that skid plate of crack. If anyone really wants one of these I have a sheet of .060 Ti laying around somewhere.

I have been the best man in two weddings and a groomsmen in another two and I think I was supposed to be the usher in one, but I didn't really do anything that time. Weddings inspire me to drink too much and hit on the brides maids. There is a carful balance in these situations, because if it is someon in your family that is getting married you have ot be careful to not drink to much, inorder to avoid hitting on a family memeber that you are too drunk to recognize.

One of the biggest lessons you learn in college, is how little amount of sleep you can survive on. THe kid in your class sounds like the type of kid that is going to have the lathe tear his shirt off at some point.

I'll have to scrounge up the guys eBay name. I made a couple custom slides that use the standard needles. I seem to be able to get large enought jets to make these work mathematically. Hopefully this all works out.

I'm pretty sure my guess was form eye to eye fully extended.

When it comes to machining stuff like this, if, youre not sure, try turning it between centers, or pay omeone else to do it.
