Tuurning a Geo Tracker into a mud machine is like saying the you are going to turn a Kenworth into a IRL car. Less crack is better.

This sounds like a great idea. Unfortunately I only have bad ideas for contests.

Those are messed up. It looks like the work of a drunken five year old and a die grinder. You could probably save them by having them drag ported.

I used to get a kick out of budgeting my life like that. I still do it too. It was always like competition with myself to see how little I could spend. Of course, no I don't watch the little things as much, but I still keep a pretty good eye on them. The trouble I have had lately is that I buy alot of books related to my job and when I add my all my books together at the end of every month it freaks me out.

The real question is, are they still for sale?

I have a set of chrome out of frame, silenced, Power Pros that I would be willing to work some kind of deal with for some chrome in frames and silencers. Let me know, my email address is [email protected]

I have been in the same situation, but now I am an a different one and would rather be back where I was most of the time. When I was in college, I didn't owe much money, but between school and work I there wasn't much time to do anything, let alone spend money that I didn't have. The situation that I am in now is basically one in which I have a great job that pays more than I could ever figure out what to do with, but it involves working very long hours. I don't have time to do anything now, so all I cna do is save the money htta I make in hopes that things will get better. I rent a condo right now, but I should buy a house, though I don't have time to look for one. I need a new car, but I don't have time to deal with that either. To put things in a different perspective, I have had my Banshees and Sandrail since I graduated from college with my B.S. degree, since then I have used them a grand total of 4 weekends over three years. Thats it. I can understand that I maybe shouldn't have had time to ride them while I was working on my M.S. degree, but I figured atleast I would have weekends off when I went to work for real. My point is that it all depends on how you look your situation.

Will a mag light break? Need for defense
FireHead replied to German Shepherd's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I drove over one of my lights with my truck that has GVRW of 6300 lbs. The light just got scratched up, but thats it. -
Building your own A-arms and swingarm
FireHead replied to jeepman380's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I have built both A-Arms and swing arms before. You can pretty easily do the swing arm by yourself as long as you are copying factory geometry and/or adjusting the length. A-A arms are a bit of a different story. I doubt your chassis fab class will get into suspension design. Unless you plain on making exact copies of stock arms, I would not recommend doing the A-Arms yourself. If you do feel the need do do them yourself, there are books by Claude Roulle and Doug Milliken that you need to read and fully understand. Remember, when you get around to making something like this, it's all about fixtures. -
All of these measurements are specific to the CVT being used on the specific model. Mixing and matching CVT's does not work. As a word of warning, there are very few people in the world that actually know what they are doing when they are setting up and tuning a CVT. Most of the time all anyone ever does is lower performance and possibly hurt themselves as they make the engage speed lower than idle.

I take it your VD has VD now???

Get the Dyna. It has 4 different curves plus you have the option of programming it yourself with a laptop.

Supposedly this eruption won't be on as large of scale as the first one. I would assume this is because it won't be able to blow off as much material.

This is a fantastic idea. I wish I would have thought of it. I have recalibrated my torque wrench within the past two resealing attemps, so thats not it. Thank you for all of the advice.

umm, dude, vancouver is in canada. haha. Is it possible that there is a Vancouver, WA as well? Possibly just north of Portland, OR? Damn Canadians.

I had RK TEK set me up with 18cc domes for a +7mm stroke. I like the Vasoline idea. I'll have to try that. I have called twice regarding the problem and everything seems to check out. They keep telling me that the Pro Design o-ring sets are fine to use, but I think that might be BS. The o-ring grooves seem to be the wrong radius or atleast not the radius I would use when I would put the size of o-ring in a part. The head is leaking out of the right side dome, two of the stud holes, and out of both spark plug pockets.

I'm pretty tired of dealing with that thing. I have a head deisgned and have tool pathes run for it. I may go in today and cut it, but if I do that I gurantee I'll have some sealing problems with it initially. I tempeted to just by a new one and side step the hassle.
-
The last two sealing attempts have been on the same set of rings. There have been two sets before that and now I have a brand new set. I will be using the new set when I try agian, which the way work is going right now, ought to be some time later in the week.

I live in the opposite end of the state as Mt. St. Helens. When it goes we are going to get covered with a giant ash cloud if the winds blow north. One my friends that is a faculty member in our geology dept. was telling me this go-round was going to be worse than the first due to the broader specturm of reading they are getting in more areas. She is down there right now. I can't say that I remember the 1980 eruption as I missed it by being born a few months after. If anyone else is near Washington and in risk of getting hit by an ash cloud make sure you have a dust mask with you or in your car atleast and a pair of nylons to put over the intake on your vehicle. Some of the ash that comes out of this particluar volcano is cancerous, thats what the dust mask is for.

I have tried to reseal the head with this current set of o-rings twice. I have a new set that I will be using when I pull it apart again. The head is made by RK-Tek. I checked the head on a granite table and there aren't any parts of it that are warped. While there arne't any nicks our gouges in the o-ring groove the o-ring doesn't seem to seat into the groove like every other o-ring application that I have encountered. The o-ring wants to keep popping out of the groove in other words. Maybe I need stickier grease. If anyone is interested in knowing what an anerobic sealer is, here is a link to Loctite's web site. To be honest I just need the title or MSO. I have a custom built duner that is Banshee based that the Washington DMV is not wanting to register as a custom ATV or a homebuilt something or other. It would make my life easier if I could just register and title it under an existing tile. I have been to the through the State Patrol inspection and everything to ensure I'm not trying to legitimize something stolen. I figure if I get a frame that just means I have to build another bike.

Are you just burning copies of the DVD?
