The SRT-10's have their horsepower numbers over rated by quite a bit and have the most warranty problems of any model of American light truck. This is typical from this manufacturer, which also makes you wonder how much Dailmer Benz is really backing Chrysler. It's also typical of Chryler's performance when trying to field a performance vehicle in anything more than limited production numbers.
The reason the Hemi series of motors is being redone is to facilitate a more modular engine design and to consolidate the manufacturing down to fewer lines.
The best motor Chrylser has in its line right now, from a performance and reliability standpoint, is the Neon SRT engine.
In the end you can't convince anyone that their favorite manufacturer isn't all that awesome as they all have their shortcomings.
