  1. Ezest.........really? That's an awesome new word you invented there.
  2. Maybe they sent you the wrong parts. I have used the Modquad plastic bushings in the past and they fit, and were the same as any other bushing for a Banshee that I ever had. I am not sure if Lonestar's arms are different than OEM though.
  3. Cranker's, in general, have a nasty habit of cracking their pipes. :geek:
  4. We have been going through alot of tires here in Vegas and watching those tire guys do their thing reminds me why I am not a tire guy............
  5. ....geeesh, Dave, were you a lawyer in another life?
  6. I thought we were talking about a one piece intake manifold, not a gas tank. My bad.
  7. .................that's an interesting analogy. :ermm:
  8. Generally when engineers don't get something like this, they have to go out and see if in-person for themselves or possibly even try it themselves. :geek:
  9. The ratchet strap makes a big difference. You can pump as much air as you want as fast as possible into some tires, but if you don't have something sort of holding the bead near te rim you won't be seating anything. On a larger tire, sometimes you have to get out te big ass strap and come-along.
  10. That's rad! I like it.
  11. What are you looking to do here? Caster and Ackerman might be a bit of a challenge for most folks with a normal garage and a basic set of tools. :geek:
  12. You could make it out of a single piece of ally, but you will need a live five axis mill to do it at least. A six axis mill would be alot easier.
  13. I seriously get the feeling that some of the folks think the parts for their bikes just materialize out of thin air. No one actually makes them, nor does any of the technology that is applied to this sport exist anywhere else. I find it hard to reason with people like that.......... :ermm:
  14. Dude, I keep trying to y'all that PS is pretty much a populous of dickbags with too much money or credit. I can't even ask a mildly technical question over there without a an argument breaking out over who builder is better........................of course then no one believes me when I some how mention I work on my own stuff.................................which apparently isn't possible.....................and then it winds up with someone calling me a noobie...........................
  15. Is he driving for Hendrick or did he just make a deal to use their engines? I am not sure and I haven't talk to any of my buddy's this week. I suppose if it really got down to it we could just call Dale and see what I can shake out of him :geek:
  16. That 425 spring would probably be great for someone with a little shorther arm and/or weighs less than 200lbs. TCS is awesome, by the way. If you happen to see them at their shop, in person, it's pretty interesting, but they are out in Lake Elsinore, and the folks out there can be kind of weird.
  17. FYI: Cascade does not make them. The covers Cascade sells are made by Direct Drive. If you do need a lockup clutch, don't run one, but the covers is great no matter what you are doing.
  18. I figure you would want something with multiple ops., setups, processes, etc. Hence the fancy footpeg suggestion. If you don't cast them, they are a bit of a challenge to make with a proper set of processes I would imagine. :geek:
  19. It's not lean until you start whipping employees..................
  20. I have to go spend several weeks in Las Vegas starting in the next few days, where I will hopefully have some more free time. I'll see if I can fire you something over then. Also, I am pretty sure I can get your WR master to work. What I have in mind to for the Banshee cylinder if not CNC'd would be two machined parts welded together and then use a cap off of something else. I am afraid you might need a CNC mill to get a proper o-ring groove cut to get it to seal properly though. Let me know what you think. :geek:
  21. I am guessing the o-ring material from you buddy's shop is commonly used to seal the base of blowers and it may not be the best for sealing coolant and certainly wouldn't work around the domes.
  22. Can you post a picture of what you have come up with? I am not scared of making the bracket to adapt the master cylinder to my frame, my objection to doing it is that I would then be adding the weight of two fasteners and a bracket to the bike, which I know isn't much, but I spoose it's the principle of the whole thing.
  23. As far as I know, at least two of the larger displacement engines are sitting in a test cell in Detroit madly trying to meet EPA 07 standards, but they haven't yet. I guess I am bit of a disadvantage as I have no idea what the 3-Star Emissions rating is. The only time I have ever heard of it has been inreference to Evinrude's E-Tech stuff. It kind of seems like somethng conjurred by their marketing department.
  24. This is a good point.
