  1. What if he's a fish and has gills? Then the motor might not breathe like he does. :ermm: (That was retribution for your "head" joke from a different thread. I think this was about equal in sophistication)
  2. standards = loose guidelines that I don't really adhere to Is that any better.
  3. ..............it was sort of my fault for searching out and digging up and old thread.
  4. It is sort of an invite only thing these days. I won't be there, but you can see some of my engineers and technicians there, attached to this (sorry, it's an old picture from Fluidyne's website).
  5. I bet if you supplied Dave95.1 or gimmeeabeer on here a hand sketch of what you wanted, they would model it up for you real quick. I would do it, but I don't really have time at the moment. If you get ahold of me in October (yeah, that's how messed up my summer is), then I will do it, no problem. :geek:
  6. I have been Las Vegs for the last three weeks. I think I only gave a couple days notice on this rotor give away before I left. My lack of knowlege about lockup clutches and dyno really shines through at my work. My company had better fire me and hire those two guys. Between the Bada450R Mexican joke and Bansh-eman's thread summary, that thread makes me gigle every time I look at it. I did actually find something related to that thread that I was really interested in, in that Kevin from GP has seen the inside of one of those Rekluse / Z-start automatic clutch kits that seem to be all the rage with 4 stroke ATV folks.
  7. Coo, let me know. I work on Swan Island, so I can pretty much hit anywhere at lunch or on the way home and I live out by Gresham.
  8. FYI: floks around here don't seem to like Trinity much. I personally have no problem with them, though I have never has any work done to anything of mine by them, but I have bought several items there, though it has always been in-person. As for the programable C02 Actuator, is it similair to one that Pingel sells? I believe there is also a road racing bike shop (possibly with some sort of Italian name) from Florida that also sells something like that. I am not saying that to take anything away from yours, but those are the two that I am familiar with. With yours, you should be able to control the the valve(s) (if it down shift too) with one of the outputs from the Motec box. If my crappy memeory serves me, the Motec M4 has two fully porgrammable outputs (it has been way too many years since I have fooled with one of those)? Without spending an extra week on the load case in Cosmos, I suppose that is the best a guy can do. I would be curious as to how the balls striking the end of their races and briefly rebounding has an effect of the system. Friction on the balls should really only effect the delta of pressure between associated with transient torque application, which is porbably not a big deal unless a rider has to back pedal mid-run. You still haven't told me how your clutch is adjustable (maybe I missed it (reference: my crappy memory)). What I am interested in, that you mention previously, is that you have seen the inside of a Rekluse / Z-Start clutch. I haven't wanted to see the inside of one of those for awhile. One of my old employees bought one for his Suzuki Z450 awhile ago and wouldn't let me take it apart to look inside (I guess I wouldn't either if I had just spent $550 on it and didn't care what was inside). He did let me hold it though and it did not sound like a maracca. Assuming there are balls in there like in your clutch, what else is in there that makes it not sound like a maracca? Also the Rekluse unit is adjustable by an active rider with an optional gizmo that appears to change the ramp angle for the weights in their unit (this also falls into the category of things that I think are over complicated). I am correct in my assumption about the Rekluse unit with respect to that?
  9. Turn-off: Fat girls (example: when they walk away their ass looks like to VW Beatles trying to pass each other on a gravel road) Turn-off: Taller than me Turn-on: personality Turn-on: tolerates me talking about work :geek:
  10. I was there for part of the 500, but I had to fly out on Saturday. Of course that was one day too late as Saturday was when that picture that showed up in NASCAR Weekly was taken. :ermm:
  11. All my other BS aside, Nate, you're a great addition to the HQ. I have to ask, other than me being an ass, what made tou show up here? PS seemed to be the only place I had seen you hanging out before. :geek:
  12. My magic 8 ball says no, but I am sure someone with argue with me. :ermm:
  13. Inland ATV and RDZ are both on my list of crappy places to steer clear of...............Dave, basically covered my reasons for it, though I can go into alot more detail for RDZ.
  14. FYI: I dug up this kind of old thread so that I could enter in the Stant part number cap that I found that fits an OEM Banshee radiator during my worldly travels (Las Vegas). :geek: ...............and I am throwing away this cap. I suppose I am using the HQ for a data base for Banshee cap that I will probably forget if not archived.
  15. Alright, I'm home for about three weeks here. Someone needs to come get this thing.
  16. You don't see too many mullets anymore at the races. You do see a bunch of fat women beating all of their 10 kids while swearing at the husband, that I am sure ran off. :ermm:
  17. As it turns out, I can answer this question. The cap that interchanges in a Stant part number R27, which is rated at 13 lbs.
  18. I'll be all over it like a monkey on a football tomorrow. I have had a long day, but I did drain my compressor and get it fired up tonight, so I'll have air tomorrow (I am pretty sure I am making your hangers at my house). :ermm:
  19. That was a bad joke, even by my standards.........
  20. I still haven't done the set of silencer hangers I told Bansh-eman I would help him out with about three months ago. Hopefully, he didn;t read the other post I made today that stated that I was finally on my way home from Las Vegas. If I find myself making another set of gear, I promise I will whip out an extra set for you. Depending on what sort of gear design I would use, you might have to cover your half of the carburizing and core hardening. If I do something simple than I may be able to get them induction hardened for free.
  21. ..................and possibly a set of wings.
  22. A picture would help me out I think................ :geek:
  23. For some reason I find this pretty interesting................Brad, do you know if thissomething more traditional in two stroke engines? Are there any advantages or disadvantages to the rings?
