YOOOOOOO same thing happnd to me 2 weeks ago dont run it!!!! I started mine a few weeks ago to go ride with my freind with his 250ex so we were riding and it ran great for a few so then it just starts backfiring and the plugs go put new plugs in and stared it back up it runs then bam 1 piston siezes up and run it on 1 cylinder i figured my right pipe was just blocked up so i drive it a bit and it had no powerband at all so i have my freind with the 250ex tow me home, i let it sit unseize it pour oil down the cyliders start it up and it ran great rode it for a while then bang it just shuts off and the back tires lock up and skid to a stop, even tho for 45 minutes it ran great even drag raced it and won in the 45 minutes, i get it home take the motor out take the jugs off and discover one of my pistons just melted to sh#t and even had a hole burt througt it while the other cylider was perfect, all this cuased by a small crack where the boost bottle connects so really check your boots beetween the carb and reeds for cracks it might not be to late to save your pistons and cylinders, my shee is ripped apart right now from such a small crack and now i have a 350 dollar bill to pay when i pick up my jugs and pistons on monday, not to mention the pain in the ass of ripping the whole quad apart and doin all the motor work, so check it out you mightbe able to save it!!!! Wait a sec i doint even have the circlips off becuase i havre no idea what they arewhat are they how do i get them off?? After i get that off the wristpin should slide easy..

I took my jugs up today to get bored out and i figure while there off ill take the old pistons off but i dont no how to get the wristpin off or anything hopefully all be able to get the new ones on myself..

My banshees street legal in the sense that i drive everywhere on the roads and never get a ticket, i have drove on highways, side roads everything and my luck the only time i have got pulled over was pulling out of my driveway.. Banshees are so fun on the road and you gotta love making passes on cars.. cars get all mad about you being on the road and give u mad looks and guys on sport bikes and choppers usally give you the freindly wave and thumbs up.. and i give them a O yeah if you have ever seen the movie biker boys about the sport bike drag racing,, kid has 2 guys with banshees in mis group of bikes i whatch that movie over and over again to whatch the banshees driving down the roads..

Im here in north east PA with no idea where to send my jugs and domes, the domes have all stuff melted to them from the piston and the sleeves need to be bored over any help would be great o yeah how long can i expect them to take doing this stuff and what do prices run??

Well any more advice on robbing a bank would be aprrecated, also taking advice on what the hell to do with a bnahsee with a melted piston

Thanx for all the replys i pulled the noss head off and its not good one pisotns freid to dust with a nice hole in it .. But hell nothing that cant be fixed but the problem is i have no cash o well gotta start the plans on how to rob the local bank so tomarow im gonna come on here and tell you guys about my newly bough cheetah 525 kit whcih i paid for by myself..

Well i found a small crack in the little rubber part where the boost bottle connects on the side that had a melt down so as u guys were sayin that little thing could have caused my troubles.. So do i gotta over bore it, do i gotta replace 2 pistons or just the fried one, and theres tons of jnk melted to the domes should i have them polished or what.. Thanx for all the help i wanna get thing back out racin for the pink slips..

well after it 1st gave signs of seizin up i drained all the gas took off both carbs cleaned them with carb choke cleaner put them back on pured amsoil down the cylinders then mixed a nice 4 to 1 ratio of amsoil racing oil and took it out ran like a champ for a bit then i guess this junk happnd and left piston fried.. So would v force reeds do the trick?? Or what i did hear an air leak after it finaly seized up for good yesterday so ill have to have a look around..

Hole is not in the center, if its any indication of any thing its near the exuaghst port. Its prety burnt up the rings are pretty much fried to dust, but remeber only on one side the other side will start right up and run also if its any indication the cylinder that fried is bone dry no oil in it its almost like theres an oil pump on it that failed to give oil to the cylinder but i dont no the hell so what do i gotta do, the sleeve dont feel to scrathced up..

I took off the head and 1 piston is just burnt right up and has a hole right through it , its bone dry in the cylinder, the other is perfect lots of oil, pistons perfect.. So what should I do?? Why would one cylinder be bone dry and seized up with a hole through the piston while the other cylinder is perfect?? Ill get some pics up later but what do i need to order and what needs to be done?? Thanx

Just took my banshee down the road ran fine for about a half mile then it started boggin so i shut if off threw new plugs in, then took it a bit more it had no powerband just luggin in all 6 gears so u felt the expansion chambers 1 was warm the other firing normal so the thing starts poppin and smoke was pourin out. so i shut it off the left cylijnder still has a slight bit of compressoin becuas i put my hand by the pipe.. The amsoil dealer was closed so i used some other 2 cycle oil the only one the auto parts store had.. Im gonna take the noss head off now what should i look for, if its seized i have 0 money right now and ill either have to have it sit for about a year or ill have to sell it, i now have 2 seized up quads sitting in my gradge life sucks my pride and joy the banshee just fuckin siezes up mile down the road.. Im screwed

I dont think i have the ball see it fell of while i was flying down the railroad tracks so i got what i could.. I was thinking of welding the pos on but then it wont turn correct?? Im talking about just the lever not the part that bolts to the engine..

I have no idea how to gte it back on, its just the lever not the part that bolts to the motor.. Any idea how it goes back on?? and what is the little spring for that fell out with it??

We were gonna go for the ultimate goal of every pyro and light a morter to go underwater, well my cousin lit it and was letting it burn down, i didnt no he lit it and said hide it becuase there was somone comin so he put it under his foot and his shoe got beat up pretty bad and my hearing is messed up pretty good.. Other than that i put a quarter stick in a cinder block and shot cement all over the place and cut my arm pretty good but i escaped without major injury this 4th of july..

Ill never strop for a cop again, i was riding my utility quad before i got my shee with my cousin on his foreman and my other freind on his lt 230 well anyway we were comin out of my freinds driveway on his niehborhood road going bakc down to the railroad tracks which were about 200 yards down the road.. So the cop is coming up the street so i figure hell why not stop were on a side street coming out of my freinds driveway (who was not home so he couldnt bring out his quad) so the cop just starts screaming and says hes gonna impound them so i said sry we were just seiing if my freind was home to come riding with us his responce thats what phones are for, next i say well we were just riding the RR tracks becuase we got no place to ride, his responce thats your fualt for buying one of these things go buy 20 acres of your own land.. So then he says im not gonna impound them but you have to push them to the tracks or have your parents pick you up, well all our parents were at work s were stuck pushing these quads in the snow and cold with a flat tire, so finaly i say screw it hop on the quad and get on the tracks and ride home.. Needless to say as soon as i got home there was a message from the cop and a few days later a 150 dollar fine, so yes f*ck them think im ever stopin again f*ck no ill start a 10 car chase before i ever stop for a cop again i just cant afford more fines..

My advice to ya is to get some toomys or fmfs next, and some v force reeds or reed spacers, followed by port work and it will erally rip, even rip that stock 2004 250r

Dont worry about that coal shit the more the merry, I ride around srcanton man wtf lets ride i got no one to ride with, i can ride right on the rr tracks or get to any powerlines lets ride bro..
