im just interested in how much horse shes makin but i dont no if it would be anything impressive with my mods, jetting is defiantly another plus i can never seem to dial it in

Theres a plce around here that charges 80 bucks for it, im putting my completly redone banshee back together and i was thinkin if it would make numbers that would be worth the 80 bucks, its stock stroke but its got 20cc domes, v force reeds, 30mm carbs, all around port work, wiesco .70 over pistons, fmf fattys with toomy t-3 silencers, and not sure if they add hp but its got reed spacers and a nice grab bar rated for a few extra ponys, i no i cant get exact numbers without spendin the 80 bucks but you think the hp numbers would be worth the money?? Thanx for any input

Before i got my 30mms my stock carbs used to stick like crazy when the quad was cold, there were small cracks that i think were makin them stick, combined with the premix, i switched over to amsoil and sprayed carb cleaner in there and it helped alot

Sell the banshee and use the raptor its not as fun to ride but you can beat on it and it wont break everytime you ride it, kinda reminds me of my banshee it breaks everytime i go near it

I live in scranton and if you wanna drive a little theres a guy who lives buy me who is really really fairly priced, hes a two stroke engine mechanic, he may be a little busy becuase hes a one man show but you get your quad back fixed and you still got some money left in your wallet. Whats up guys, i got nothing to do so ill tell you my life story as of the day i bought my banshee, I bought the thing is ran great a month later things started breakin then the top end blew up, got it all fixed then the crank seals go, then the carbs go to make a long story short the 1st time i had her out in the snow i was in the process of handin a arctic cat 700 its ass when the crank decided to go, its been a long long time since then and im dying to get this thing back together new and improved, im plannin for a new crank pistons some v force reeds, toomy t-3 silencers , and a few other things here and there. I been ridin my honda foreman and kawisaki bayou for months now and 50 mph is getting old and my freinds think there tough on there little hondas and 230cc quads, im gettin sick of it. Well anyway just wonderin if anybody else is feelin torn apart lookin at a frame sittin there day after day. What can you do?? Later

I have 2 but i cut the end off 1 the thing that plugs into the shee trying to hook it up to one of my 4 strokes with a battery so if your not intrested in hookin it back on i still have one perfectly good one to offer you, throw me a pm whaty your willing to pay and its yours jsut work out a form off shipping

The fmfs are in perfect condition , The pro circuits are in good condition one of them is perfect but one of them the inner core snapped so i welded it back togerther just about as good as new it does not affect the flow of the silencer.. Will accept very low prices best offer i am in PA

Yeah i gotta see what im gonna do with it when its all fixed , Its like this to make a long story short,I rode my foreman 450 for about a year and started to want a sport atv real badly, then i saw it a guy that lives by me had his banshee out for a run after i heard it and saw that thing throw a roost i new i was destined some day to get one, so i come on here read up about them and as with anything i had the "wont happn to me attitude" about the problems everyone was warning me about the banshee. So i looked in the papershop saw an add for a 97 banshee with some pipes and other good stuff for 3500, once i saw those red and black flames from the alba graphic kit i didnt think it could get any better until i kicked over the beast and heard the sweeet sound of the fmfs then i took off and was scared to take it out of second becuase the instant pull from idle up, so i bought it couldnt sleep (no joke till i bought it). So thing started breakin slowly then the carbs needed a cleanin and me at the time had no idea how to do anything fixed it and it never ran great again, then the top end went then the crank seals then needed new carbs and now its the crank and the top end that are gone, so what would you guys suggest to make it run again like the day i bought it to pull hard and no bogging or spitting from 1st gear up?? So i ask you help me git er done, and restore this beast to her old self , suggest maybe a vitos crank and some parts so that this thing may run again better than ever.. Thank you and may god bless

The fmfs are in perfect shape. One of the pro circuit silencers had a welded inner core becuase it snapped in half but it does notaffect the flow inside, the pro circuits come with no packing.The reeds are good shape with either stock reeds on the caged or fmf torque reeds cant tell whatever they are there blue, negotaible prices If interested just post under this topic and ill give you a pm

Well youll never belive it ater i made the post i figured id take it out in the snow and see if it stopped runnin bad, well i made it down the road a bit and bam it just shut off got it home and took it apart and the lower rod bearing went and ate the piston up, this coming 2 months after i rebuilt the top end and about a month after i had to have all the crank seals replaced.. Is this some sort of sick joke?? The guy that fixes banshees around here said my best bet it to buy a entire new crank a wiesco or somthing, so what the hell could of cuased the rod to jump like that i was takin a nice easy ride down the road.. at this point i feel its not worth fixin becuase as the trend has been ill get it asll fixed and give it aweek somthing else will break..Whats my best bet here?? Anyone have a used aftermarket crank, kickstart, plastics?? thanx for all the help i really do appreciate it

Im not justcomplainin im just wondering if this is normal, its no joke it never run s right or somthing goes wrong, i dont have the money to keep fixin it, i got a foreman from honda to pay everymonth im lucky to even own a banshee, i run amsoil always do maintenance clean the carbs chain air filter but the thing never fails to break or run right, i had to get towed home by a 88 timberwolf and a 89 lt 230 and my banshees a 97 its rediculas, ive had it in shops ive had it ripped apart in my own gradge it never fails to cost me money.. Ill try to get pictures of how it looks now and im located in ne pa maybe one of you guys could have better luck with it

Everytime i ride the thing somthing bears or it spits and dies, point being i just wanna ride sometimes without worrying about stuff goin wrong, is there SOMEONE I SHOULD BRING IT TO ,TO GO OVER IT OR SELL IT AND BUY AN ex if an yones interested ill sell it or trade it for a 400ex right now its basicly fixed exept for the headlights dont brighten up for some reason. Theres a pic of it under bansheee apperance under the front bumper post but since those pics the back fenders have been cut down, lots of exteras looks good

whats wrong when the pipes turn red and sparks shoot out of my silencers?? long story held wide open in the snow. Should i let it be or do i gotta tear it down??

Could your modified stock silencers be loosing to much back pressure?? Its somthing to look at backpressure can mean alot when talking about where the powerband is gonna come on. If the jettings dead on and your loosin id gear it back to stock i think its 40 stock then id add pipes, dial in the jetting then work from there like a cool head with some smaller domes and a new top and with some poert work then some carbs but the pipes just for now should keep you way ahead of him.

Naaaa Dont listen to all this nonsense, just start talkin about how much hp your trinity pipes added and the throttle response you got from the v force reeds then your guarenteed to get married. I guess you can say i can take more advice on the subject than i can give but durablue axels always start good conversations..
