You guys are fucking gods.. THANK YOU went out and looked and the choke tube is pulled out of the right side and not connected.. Was so exited didnt even connect it to see if she starts but yo tahnx again couldnt of done it without this site and all the faithful members

O yeah one quick thing to add to my last post when the throttle is compltly turned off like not hitting the gas at all should there be a little space in beetween the slide and the bottom of the carb like a little opening?? Thanx thanx for all the replies just scared im not gonna get her runnin all becuase i took the carb off, theres a word for people like me fucking idiot..

When i turn the fuel on gas does pour out of the lines.. Didnt take off the slide infact didnt take apart the carb at all just slid it out of the boots.. 1st thing tomarow gonna check that choke thing, not sure what u mean by the needle thing but i dont think i could of fucked her up by just sprayin some cleaner in and takin the paper towels to it.. Ill check that top thing to even tho i didnt take it off or loosen it i tryed to some extent.. Sry for all the posts but I wanna get my shee runnin SO badly dammit the fuckkkk...

Ok thanx for that last reply, but i got more breaking news, if you pour some gas down into the spark plug holes it fires right up, thus the problem is its not getting gas, like i says i only took the left carb off, and i sprayed some carb cleaning shit in there next i preceded to put everything back on basicly all i did was take the carb off the boots that connect it to the reeds and the air filter didnt even take the cap off i just slid it out of the boots so i could clean her up a bit indise wiped her off in there with some super absorbant brownys, then slid it back in the boots tightend up the claps and away i thought i was gonna go.... So with this info can you help me???? The local miracle worker cant look at her till next week so i need to fix this shit myslef what the hell can it be??

Ok heres what i got so far, its getting a spark, and i tryed gear startin it all day and it just wont go.. Ill go out now and take off the fmfs and empty them out good. But it ran FINE until stupid ass fucking me took the left carb off.. Could i need to adjust somthing on the carb?? I think it may be flooded up pretty well but the carbs are not so im hopin its the whole pipes deal.. I just thrw in fresh plugs, now im hopin its the pipes thing but other than that what else could it be it sounds like its either to flooed to start or it cant pull any fuel but i doubt that becuase like i said i only took off 1 carb

This sucks i took the left carb off and tryed to spray choke/carb cleaner in it.. Then i took off the stator cover and cleaned around the chain real good, with the hose and stuff and im wonderin if a bit of water splashed over the the other side would it hurt it Im talking about the part where the startor cover seals by where the stator is i fear a few splashed hit it could that hurt it and mean im not gettin any spark?? I only took 1 carb off (left one) and ive dried the inside off real good what the hell is the matter with my shee, ive kicked it over about 1000 times and it hast even sputters just nothing, ive rolled it down a hill a few times and tryed to gear start it and for a split second it amkes a bit of noise.. WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH MY SHEE??????????????

Yeah right.... As well as alot o the people on here im sure, i started on a blaster.. There good bikes no doubt but one would never touch a shee, a stock or maybe just pipes 400ex sure, but even a modded 400ex would not touch.. A blaster modded with everything possible would not touch a stock shee.. My old blaster by the way was ported, has toomy pipes, trenga 240 kit, 30mm pwk and lots of intake changes, i bought the blaster for 1200 bucks with everythig done to it exept the 240 kit.. And yes I used to out run STOCK 400exs and 300exs and even would hand with a stock z, but i mean it didnt do no 85 mph. it went 65 if i was lucky with the gearing on it and it would not pull geaing for 70.. Not putting down the blaster becuase i loved mine they have balls when you mod them but My verry modded blaster would not ever run with banshee, zilla , yfz 450 trx 450r that is just wow, a dream..

I run amsoil at 3oz to 1 gallon of gas, works perf4ectly havnt seized her up yet

O i got you, serosuly thanx for the help, im gonna give her a good carb cleaning today i just hope i can get it back together, anyways im in for some 28 or 30mm carbs becuase stocks probably are not givin my ported motor enough flow.. One more question whats a good carb cleaner?? And dont use water to clean them correct?? Thanx again..

O yeah sry its not in the repair thread forgot to switch back to it, but Lucky me to have a peice of dirt get in my carbs, then on the other hand sure i can take them off but ill never get them back on.. When i take them off to clean them does that involve taking off the thottle cables?? Hope me shee dosnt have to sit in the shop now for days and anyway i dont have any money to fix it, I guess ill see what i can do tomarow but if i do tomarow might be that last day my banshee has carbs becuase i dont no what the hell im doin, also there stock ones could that be a reason they like to stick wide open sometimes when i just warm it up in the morning?? Sry for all the questions but this thing isnt like my foreman change the oil and it runs forever, O yeah and what you mean by sittin on a bomb is it gonna blow up?? Hope not but shit happns

Comon guys no need to shoot each other .. Put it this way i dont understand what he means by you wanting to have your shee parted out.. Even if you did want him to take it all apart that does not mean that the stuff becomes his to sell/keep/ or use in any way to benifit him.. On the other hand if you wanted it taken apart cant be mad that its taken aprt, hell i can take me shee motor to peices but it will never go back together, that said your dam right for wanting your shit back i mean who wouldnt, but i dont understand how this all started, you wanted him to take your shee apart? fix it? do motor work? Anyway hope you get your stuff back bro and get out on the trails asap

My shee just pours gas from the overflow on the carb when the gas is turned on.. What the hell woke up to see my 10 dollar amsoil and 100 ocatne gas flowing on my floor into the drains.. I fogot to turn the gas off last night sure, but even if you turn the gas on to ride it flows out everywhere should i clamp up the overflow or what??

Thanx for the help did the best i can, found out there was a bolt attached to nothing loose by the chain that was hitting it making all the noise, it looked like it had a very small roller on it like the size of a 9mm nut but no idea what it was for needless to say i just took it out, becuase it was loose and what have you.. But than x again for the help should be good to go now on to my next problem see new post

Searched everything but my chain is basicly draggin on the swingarm, u can almost pull it right of the sprocket.. How do i get it tight gain thanx..

I got a used 97 banshee which i am the 3rd owner of so no manual. Everything is pretty much new on this bike including the chain so i figure the chain just stretched a bit, but this thing has about 2 inches of play.. So i have no idea how the hell to tigten this thing any advice?? Thanx..
