  1. thats what i was thinking. but i did all the math correctly, not like it was cal II type of shit. i know the thing has balls and itll twist yur hand around when you fire it, but thats a lil strange.
  2. you may also have a cracked/deformed reed. this owuld cause the air to flow out of the intake port and back through the carb; where it should be going up through the transfers and into the combustion chamber.
  3. i dropped some coin and get me a new impact the other day. its pretty cool, 300lb ft of torque and like 13000 rpm. id post a pic but the snap on website is down. anyway, if that air motor produces those numbers does it have like 745 hp? cause i used the HP= (rpm x tq)/5252 formula and i got about that. but that torque isnt produced at that RPM. so does this change the number? or does that thing really have that much horsepower?
  4. run a compression check and get back with us. may have a hole in your piston.
  5. the pin is just relocated 3.5mm further out from the pin.
  6. happy birthday big!
  7. so does your wife!
  8. mmmmmmmm brad a twister billet crank. http://www.twistercrankshaft.com/cranks.htm
  9. i think im thinking of 4mm/stock stroke being pretty comparable.
  10. yup trenching is required. it also costs a lil more for the bigger crank, but not enough to be a deciding factor. youll probably get more power from a 7mm, but i think thats the only plus.
  11. i know that you can port a plated jug. i just didnt know if even with plating you still needed to rebore to cleanup the cylinder walls?
  12. ya, but big blue mentioned just throwing new pistons in and being done with it, after a port job. anyone ever had their plated cylinders reported here?
  13. whenever you port the cubs to you have to rebore them like a standard jug? cause wouldnt that fuck up your plating? j/w
  14. good point, no one had mentioned that yet.
  15. i have one. i dont have a temp guage to check water temps but it, in conjunction with a head, never ever gets hot. i mostly bought the thing because of the horror stories of having the stock plastic impeller fail.
  16. its gotta be better than out worthless beer.
  17. you didnt pay that did you?!?!?!?! you should know better...............
  18. id bet money youve got seriously poor fuel flow. pull the petcock out of the tank and take a look at the two fibermesh filters atop the intake tubes. if these are nasty you can cut them off with some shears and then use an inline filter with all news hoses. if that doesnt solve it look into the carb floats. take the easiest/cheapest routes first.
  19. some one wanna post a picture of my -9 score?
  20. i heard a rumor that all the beer's on tyler!
  21. advance your timing ($35 for a plate), bump your compression up ($75ish), and lighten your flywheel (60ish). easy cheap mods will significant gains. is your avatar from the boondock saints?
  22. thats good to know. and i bet that chopper gets damn good bite too.
  23. does it run smooth for that first five seconds? depending on how often it was used in its previous owenr's posession it may just need a lil carb cleaning or a new fuel filter. little things like that are free, so check into them first.
  24. true, but the largest part of that is already integrated into the CDI and other ignition components.
  25. all i see are X's willow.
