I disagree, the new liter bikes need experienced riders or they'll hurt you. I'm of the opinion that 99% of riders can't ride a 600 to its full potential. The big difference between them to me is stunt potential.

Just ask her if she trusts you...When I got my bike my girl was a little nervous but I said I'd be careful and always wear protection helmet, long pants, leather jacket, boots... Since I've had it I actually told her I was going to trade it in for a fourwheeler for her and she wouldn't let me she loves riding on it now. My mom was the one that was against it and still is somewhat but she does trust me, my cousin was killed on a motorcycle a few years ago and that's all she can think about. It really depends on the kind of person you are wether you should ride a bike like that or not, if your going to be stupid on it then you shouldn't have a motorcycle at all. You need to know who's in front, beside, behind and every other possibility all the time. You relax and forget what your doing and you're road kill. As far as her divorcing you that's stupid, it's your life and you only live once if it's something you want and are capable of doing that isn't breaking your marital vows then you should do it. On the other hand as Duece mentioned if you have children you seriously need to consider the risk of not being able to take care of them and not being there to watch them grow up.

I agree the problem sounds electrical but if you swap the plug wires between the plugs and the problem stays on the same cylinder i would think it seems to rule out the electrical side of the equation. But you can never rule anything out completely. I have had something get into my carb that would cut out a cylinder just off throttle but run mid to WOT fine so it is possible that a carb circuit has an obstruction. You can clean a carb a million times but if you don't get the spec of whatever out of where the problem is it won't help. I'd blow out the pilot and main, check the float make sure the slide is in correctly. Lots of carb spray is your friend.

At my local gas pump 110 is $4.25, I remember when it was under $3.

If there's no change with the wire swap. It really only leaves plug, carb, and possibly the reeds. Put new plugs in, clean and sync the carbs, and take a look at the reeds.

It does feel good to pull up to the pump and fill the tank for under $10 on premium. I put another 500 miles on my bike last Saturday. It cost under $40 and I also had a full tank when it was back in the garage.

Not that I'm a big fan of giving any money away but our national budget is above 3 trillion dollars and we worry about the illegals wasting 26 billion of it? Our own government is much more of a problem than the illegals will ever be.

Here's my take on it. Same response as I put into PolyKarbons post. On the illegals, we need to close the borders obviously. My one worry is that right now illegals do jobs for cheaper wages because they don't have a choice. Don't quote my numbers but my understanding is that right now as a country we have an unemployment rate of 4.7%, the unemployment rate for people without a highschool degree is around 15%, the unemployment rate for illegals is about 5%. Illegals are taking jobs from those who "should" be working them. But once you legalize all the illegals and make them citizens I have the feeling they won't be willing to continue to do the work that they do for any less than the next person. Immigration is a good thing but only when done legally. Ideally all illegals should be returned home where they can then try to return legally but we know that's not a plausible alternative in this situation. In the event that our govt did actually crack down on them say good bye to the cities with the large protests, anybody remember the Rodney King riots?

I don't think anybody is denying the statistics but the point is that not every black or hispanic is bad and not every white is good. If I'm not mistaken the parental stats also reflect crime rates. You mentioned that was a trend what were the numbers 10 years ago?

I just got an email update from XM and it looks like they are adding quite a few more stations. The two new rock stations sound like they will be pretty good.
