Pretty much any country about pre 1994 is somewhat ok. Artists like Hank Jr, David Allen Coe, Johnny Cash, Geaorge Strait, Waylon.... All the newer stuff is just twangy pop music.

I agree with NYUK if you need Stern you'll have to get Sirius. I could care less about Stern so I'm very happy with XM. XM has more channels and you can always find something to listen too. Those who can't believe XM is still around maybe better check the numbers. And being able to sit in my office and listen to XM with my portable receivers antenna is the best thing about it. http://today.reuters.com/news/newsarticle....LITE.xml&rpc=22

And Brooke doesn't even own a Banshee -
I've never run the FMFs so I can't say anything about them. But as far as the DMC 916's vs T5's I give the nod to T5's for my type of riding. I ran the 916s for a while and liked them they ran good and sound great but when I got beat by a CRF450X dirtbike in a drag it was close but he got the jump and I couldn't reel him in. It seemed my DMC's just couldn't rev out as much as I needed maybe the aliens would have but I don't know. I then picked up a set of T5's and the difference seems to be maybe a tiny loss on bottom but nothing major but they seem to rev out higher. Next time my bud is down with the bike I will run him again and it should be very close but I still may not be able to beat him. My bike is setup for woods/mx riding not dragging anyway. I'd recommend either the 916's or T5's for a woods rider but the T5's work better with my single carb/Gorr port setup but it's similar. I feel like the T5's give a little more torque than the DMC's in the mid but the DMC's are a lower range pipe IMO. Here's a link to my banshee running the 916's against my buds vitos big bore blaster running FMF, it wasn't even a race unfortunately. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...topic=46307&hl=

The only Wes Miller I know of is the one that does the Huevos Vids, I think he also worked at Trinity at one point. I think he also competes in Baja. -
I run the chain slider and like it alot. Check out UPP sliders, I got the kit from Magic Racing that had both rollers, and the front and rear sliders for $65.

I don't blame you it's just funny what they said about it. I'd drop everything in a heartbeat to help my girl that's the kind of guy I am. Treat others as though you want them to treat you. -

I don't normally look at this thread since I'm not from one of the mentioned states but that babyshower stuff was funny. -
I run one and like it a lot. I've tried to break it but no luck. I'd definately get one again if I had a second shee.

How far along are you with your degrees? If you're close you should finish and get a job atleast for while. Get some experience in industry and you could get another job working at a shop or a dealership on nights and weekends. You are going to need experience, customers and $$$$ to venture out on your own. I'm an engineer and at one point in time would have liked to do the same as you, I also wanted to get an engineering job designing fourwheelers at Polaris until I met the guys who work there and I took one of them apart now I don't want anything to do with them, they are a bunch of a$$holes who don't know anything about the ways a quad should be built kinda like enforcer. I'm very very happy with my job I have now, I'm a project engineer/design engineer for offshore cranes, I've been there almost 3 years straight out of college and I've got cranes all over the world that if I took a look at them out on the rigs I can say yep that's my design and point out all the things that were my idea on them, that's pretty cool in my mind. The more important thing is as compared to all my highschool friends they are in debt up to their eyeballs and it's getting to the point that they can't live the lifestyle they thought they could (they all got jobs, no degrees) while I play with all my toys on weekends -

I think Doug Gust should have raced the KFX700 instead of that Z400 that he used to ride, since the 400 was only entry level. Granted his was modded a little.
-
Yep. PT Mids on a cub setup??? I thought they liked to breath. You'd be with the bikes unless they are exceptionally good riders if you had a good port job on stock cylinders and good suspension. You've got more torque than those bikes have horsepower and you can't keep up??? What's your gearing? Can you put the power to the ground or do you just spin?
-
You read it right, the guy owns a dealership that sells Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Polaris. He's got his choice of bikes to ride and chooses the 700, not because of it's amazing power or jumping ability but because of the fact he can quickly jump on it side saddle if necessary and cruise around without much work. The 700 has it's uses but it's not a racing machine of any sort.
-
I want to hear the results of a bone stock 400 vs your modded 700 on an MX track. Somebody with a 400 race this thing on a track with some decent sized jumps.
-
Make sure you get a good helmet, boots and all the protective gear you can. Those trees hit awfully hard when they jump in front of you unexpectedly.
-
Can somebody post the power to weight ratios of the stock 400 and the stock 700?
-
I bought it back when I was at ISU, some guy built a dual 2.4GHZ computer with a gig of ram, at the time it was top of the line but it's old and slow now. He had it for a month and got tired of it so he sold everything off and I picked up the 1 month old monitor for about half price of what it would have cost new. It was great for counterstrike or 3D modeling.
-
I've got a 22" professional series viewsonic flatscreen at home and it's great as long as you don't have to move it anywhere, it's heavy as hell.
-
I can't believe you guys are having this argument. The only guy I know with one is 65 and he thinks it's cool cause it sounds like a Harley. I'd take one of the 400's anyday over that 700, I'd take a sportsman 700 over the kawi 700 also.
