Yeap you gotta have insurance. I got hit by an uninsured motorist about three weeks ago in my truck luckily and my insurance company is going after him for the damages instead of me having to take him to court. I had to pay my deductible but he won't be able to get his drivers license back until they get paid for the damages and in turn they will reimburse me my deductible. Well worth the money to have them do all the work, had he been insured he'd have saved a lot of money. That's a nice looking bike but I prefer the dual seat version. Also the older F4i's like mine and Locogato's were more comparable to the RR than the newer F4i's, the newer F4i's are more of a sport cruiser. I'd post a pic but photobucket doesn't like me today.

I don't know about year but my understanding is a 600 is a 600 from state farm no matter what type of bike it is. Mines actually an '02 black and yellow F4i. Age also affects price, I couldn't see spending $2400 a year for insurance that's like throwing money away in my opinion, that'd put another quad in my stable before it'd support an insurance salesman. My gf says I need a liter bike next because the rear seats on the 600's have gotten very small and uncomfortable. Did the '04 F4i's come with the banana seat? '02 has separate seats.

Check state farm, mine is full coverage for $280/year on my 600. Progressive had me at $2400/year.

I've heard that before and I think it's somewhat a myth. My truck was built here, I know many people who work at the plants that made the parts for Ford also. Never had any problems with any of the stuff that you are talking about either. Every Ford vehicle my family has owned has been a great vehicle with little to no problems. Can't say the same about my sisters Trailblazer or Monte Carlo's though, they had all kinds of problems within 15,000 miles.

I still say that's untrue. The people I know with imports spend more time at the shop than any of my vehicles ever have. Let alone the fact that you're supporting non US companies.

I've never understood why people say that. Just about every vehicle I've ever had left with over 150,000 miles and never needed anything other than wear items replaced ie tires, brake pads... My truck I have now is an F150 and I was just talking to a guy the other day and I told him I was planning on driving it till 200,000 miles and he said on that 5.4 that won't be a problem at all he gets them in all the time with over 300,000 miles on them. He also made the comment that even though I've got 140,000 on mine it still looks like it's only got 20,000. The only thing I've ever had to do engine wise was valve cover gaskets on a Ranger that thing was bought with 90,000 and sold with 154,000 and it also sold for $1000 less than what I originally bought it for.

Actually yes 3 weeks ago the bastard was lucky I didn't kill him once I got out of my truck and then lucky I didn't kill him again when he said he had no insurance. I looked up his record online 29 violations and atleast 3 driving without insurance tickets and they let him get in his pile of poo cherokee and dive away. $1000 deductible shot in about .00000000000000034572398 seconds, luckilly for me it was fixed within a week and I have State Farm insurance. Too bad you couldn't get divorce insurance. Sorry for the rant but you struck a nerve on the accident.
