  2. So True. For high output motors. What good is it with-out suspension. It also gotta be set up right for what type of riding you do, or your gunna get hurt. Only with in time 60-70 h.p. motor stock set up. Can spit you right-off, or your stright out like a flag trying to hang on the f--king thing.
  3. Yes he does do nice work. To bad I didn't get to know him sooner. I'm just about done with chrome
  4. Gotta get someone set up with asphalt bike on pinks. Blow these ford mustangs off the track. I'll bet buisness would be boomin over nite for the builders.
  5. Bought radiator mounts chromed from him. Nice job
  6. I'm WOrm FoOD
  7. A CAST piston NOT ME. When they let go, they let go. Skirts breaking off going into bottom end contaminating the crank possibly trashing the bearings on the crank. Every thing happens below the pin. Now you got to pull the motor split the cases to clean that mess up. A wiseco forged piston if anything lets go it's above the pin that lets go top end only has to be removed. Keep this in mind before you deside. If you still deside to go with a cast piston I'd go with pro-x
  8. The carbs have to be in-sync to jet the bike correctly. I use to use a drill bit to set the hight on the slides. To get a bench mark. It's not the wright way. Or accurate way. Jeffs tool works off the CFM per cylinder. Thats correct way. BIG defferance.
  9. The one that jeff@ F.A.S.T sells great little tool. Once you set your carbs up Index your slide screw with white paint (bench mark) Youll always have a reference point.
  10. RNBRAD, HOGWASH that was pretty good
  11. That SUCKS. One of the most important maintenance area is that swingarm bolt, along with the arm bolts. I'll bet you you'll find rust starting to form on a brand new machine in that area, write off the show-room floor
  12. I thought about putting grease fettings on the stocker. For $60.00. plus stainless it's worth it. I live over here in new England. I try to aviod water & mud as much as possible. AS fare as i know every swing-arm that I mounted has a pivot tube. You need that grease in their. That same company also makes stainless a-arm upper & lower bolts also. Well worth it IMO
  13. I got one. The stocker swingarm has a zerk for the needle bearings. O.D this bolt greases the inside I.D. inside the pivot tube and dose the O.D at the same time for easy removel. IMO it's worth it. PLUS it's stainless no rust
  14. If you like to find out if theirs water or coolant mixing with your tranny oil. Go to your local plumming supply warehouse and buy some water detecting paste. They use this paste for checking for water in your home heating fuel tanks. It also shows up on antfreeze. It will turn a vivid purple color. It will detect it quick. I keep this in my toolbox at all times. I always check it every oil change to make sure that seal isn't leaking. Hope this helps.
  15. (Fall winter) = Uni pod twin foam with outerware. No oil on outerware. (Spring summer)= K&N with outerware no oil on outerware. This is what I do. I've done this for years. It works just like jetting your bike between seasons
  16. Do you have a aftermarket swing-arm? If so, what is the dimension from your pivot bolt to your linkage mount on the swing-arm? Center to center It should be about 11.5 inches check that first. If it is 11.5 inches call ELKA about the problem you have.
  17. I like them. I mounted them on douglas .160 x 3+6 offset They balloon out-word another 1 inch. It gives the tire differen't wider profile. For now on I will stay with this offset no more 3+5
  18. My life hasn't been the same since day one. It's the SOUND and the thrill and RUSH from riding one. That's what turned me on. It still amazes me that 100 pound motor can produce that much horepower & torque. The manufactures will have a hard time to match the performance of a banshee today. AMEN
  19. Once you get it all dailed-in let us know what you think between the two
  20. Ask the big-boys over at plantsand. Do a search. Take your time ask alot of questions before dumping 3 to 10 grand for drag frame. Over her on this web-site ask NYUK which way to go with this.
  21. I would have to agree their is a limit with the 2 into 1 carb set up
  22. Ya! I heard this before. I would'nt send my stuff over there either today. But their was time
  23. If you have a trinity 2 in 1 intake set up with trinity stage 4 stainless pipes. Have Harry (owner)at trinity do the porting. He'll make it pull on top. He does something with the exhaust port (stock cyl) to make pull on top with HIS PIPES without losing anything on your bottom end. I think he does something with that bump after the exhaust port leaving the exhaust port height alone. That two into one was designed around his pipes. To have Harry do it that probably ain't going to happen today. I had motor with this set up done by Harry himself. It pulled on top very well.
  24. Just got back from supernationals on June 23 at Englishtown N.J. John Force (MY HERO) better get shit together in Ohio he's 117 points down from the ladder. Tommy Johnson Jr won funny car.
